~◈ᑭᔕƳᑕᕼᗝᒪᗝǤᎥᑕᗩᒪ◈~
𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕪:
Olivia is a quiet, shy person upon first meeting her. She's not very bold and forward, preferring to be more cautious when she's getting to know someone. But once she has befriended you, she's more talkative and is definitely not afraid to say what's on her mind. However, she is a constant people pleaser. If someone tells her to do something, she'll do it, even if she doesn't want to. She's a pushover because she doesn't want to scare people away. Even though everyone's told her this, she still feels like she did something wrong and that's why her father left, that somehow, his abandonment was her fault. So she does whatever she can to be the person people want her to be rather than who she is at heart. Olivia also prefers to only show the good parts of herself to other people. So, she's always smiling, acting happy or at least peaceful. You won't ever see her angry, sad, or hurt, because it takes a lot for someone to break her down to the point that she allows the emotions to be seen clearly on her face. Olivia also has the tendency to participate in self-sabotage. When people try to pry into her personal life, she pushes them away instantly before they get the chance to become disinterested in her. It's nearly impossible for people to get close to her because of this. There's also the fact that she's quiet, shy, and keeps to herself most of the time. She isn't a partier, preferring her own company since she's more introverted than extroverted. Olivia is also incredibly stubborn; once she has her mind made up, it's nearly impossible for her to change her opinion. She has the tendency to be irrational and to think that everyone hates her. There will be moments when everything's fine, and then suddenly, her insecurities will take over and she's second guessing everything you've ever told her. Being highly observant, she is very thoughtful and pretty much remembers everything. Her memory is uncanny, and no details, no matter how small, seem to go unnoticed by her. This is as much of a good thing as it is a bad one; as a perfectionist, the fact that she is extremely detail oriented does not help her chill out a bit.
𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖𝕤:
Olivia loves to skate. She started when she was five and has been skating nonstop since then. To her, it's not just about competing, it's about the feeling of being free. For her, figure skating is a form of expression, an escape, and something she loves full heartedly. Her dad taught her and her older brother how to skate when they were young. Her older brother ended up playing ice hockey, and still does, and she loves to support and watch his games. She is fond of both sports. Whenever Via is overwhelmed, she finds herself at the rink, loosing herself in the feeling of gliding over the ice, almost as if she was flying, where nothing and no one can stop her. Olivia also liked to take pictures. Granted, she's not exceptional at it, but she does enjoy documenting the small things that go on around her. It's an area in which things don't have to be perfect. She loves music, preferably any genre but rap. Olivia would rather watch movies than tv shows, and she likes trying new things. She isn't spontaneous, but if someone suggests they go cliff diving, she will not hesitate to try it.
𝕕𝕚𝕤𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖𝕤:
The closeness between her stepdad and her half-brother reminds her of the missing part of her childhood, so their bond makes her both envious and resentful. Whenever someone brings up her dad, she emotionally shuts down or has to leave the room. After all this time, his absence still has a terrible effect on her, and she doesn't know how to express it to anyone. She can't talk to her mom about it, because it makes her frustrated. Olivia also hates rap music, being powerless, and feeling like everything around her is out of her control. She has the tendency to be a bit of a control freak, so when there's something she can't have power over, it stresses her out. She also doesn't like it when people she cares about do stupid things that put them in jeopardy or potentially risky situations. It's hypocritical, but she'd rather put herself in harms way than see them getting hurt.
𝕤𝕥𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕘𝕥𝕙𝕤:
Olivia is very thoughtful, and she's good at making sure those around her feel loved and valued. She's good at skating. Olivia is a very patient person and is realistic. When it comes to other people's problems, she has incredible advice and knows how to stay levelheaded and rational (it's the opposite when it comes to her own). She is humble, reliable, and has a lot of common sense.
𝕨𝕖𝕒𝕜𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕖𝕤:
Her insecurities often get the better of her, and for some people, it gets very annoying. She's a very emotional person, despite the fact that she doesn't really show it outwardly. Olivia also sends mixed signals, and she's too much of a people pleaser that it's unhealthy. She's literally terrified of saying no. She physically cannot turn someone down because she feels obligated to say yes every time.
𝕗𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕤:
Atychiphobia--the fear of failure
Via is also terrified of contentment. Not necessarily happiness, but of being satisfied to the point she never tries anything new or attempts to improve herself and situation. Simultaneously, she's terrified of dissatisfaction. She's petrified of the day when living feels like a chore and is boring. It's kind of like the Oscar Wilde quote: "There are only two tragedies in the world. One is not getting what one wants. And the other is getting it."
𝕥𝕒𝕝𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤:
Olivia is a talented figure skater.
𝕗𝕝𝕒𝕨𝕤:
She's too much of a people pleaser, so everyone's opinion matters to her more than her own. Olivia is very insecure, and she often pushes people away. When things are good, she has the tendency to do something to ruin her circumstances out of fear that she can't ever have something good happen in her life.
𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕣𝕜𝕤:
Olivia blushes around every guy. She doesn't even have to like them, but male attention makes her nervous and flustered.
When she's upset, she'll have to leave the room, not wanting to have a display of intense emotion.
She'll avoid topics she doesn't want to talk about by either avoiding the person completely or subtly changing the subject so the conversation is on the other person rather than herself.
Often times, Olivia will chew the inside of her cheek when she's stressed. If she's happy, she smiles at the ground, almost as though she doesn't want anyone to catch her actually enjoying herself.
She never uses pencils and always writes in pen. And yes, she is the type that has 50 different colored pens and takes pretty notes. It's the only way she can concentrate and she doodles as a reward once she finishes a section.
𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕒𝕝 𝕙𝕖𝕒𝕝𝕥𝕙:
Nothing really serious, but she has major trust issues and a constant fear of abandonment.

𝕓𝕒𝕔𝕜𝕤𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕪:
Up until the age of six, everything was fine--wonderful, really. She had a happy childhood, loving parents,a nd a good older brother who didn't mind looking out for her. However, when she turned six, one day her dad just up and left. There was no warning, no note, nothing. He was gone. Apparently, Neil had gotten himself into trouble and decided that the best thing to do was to leave, to abandon his family, and not even say goodbye. Olivia's mother never told her why he had left, and Via has been trying to figure out ever since. Whenever she pressed her mom on the matter, she'd either snap at her or change the subject. Olivia stopped pressing after realizing that mentioning her father makes her mother feel rejected, almost as though she's not enough for Olivia. Essentially, one day she asked her mom too many questions, demanding that she tell her, and the woman broke down, ordering her to drop it. Ariana had never really yelled at Olivia before, so it shocked her to the point she never brought it up again. Shortly after Neil left, her mom met Justin, whom she had married six months after they met. Two years later, they had Wesley. Olivia still doesn't know what happened to her father, why he left, and where he is, and whether he's okay or not. For all she knows, he's lying in a ditch somewhere dead. In a way, she keeps skating as a way to stay connected to him, afraid that if she stops, she'll forget about him. it hurts her mom that she cares about him so deeply, when he was the one that left him. She doesn't admit it, but it's hard for her to attend Olivia's competitions, knowing that her daughter has the same passion and love for a skill that her first husband cared about. The only person that truly understands the void their dad left is her older brother, Callum, but even then, he doesn't talk much about Dad since it's an equally sensitive subject for him. As they grew older, Olivia and Callum remain close, even closer after Wesley came into the picture. They both love him dearly as their own brother, but he won't ever understand what it's like to not feel completely whole so there's a bit of a strain there. However, they both have issues with Justin. Olivia is just upset because part of her knows that Justin is a great guy, and she wants to like him, but a part of her is still holding out for her dad, waiting for him to come back. Callum, on the other hand, detests him because he thinks that Justin tries to hard to be their dad. He doesn't want a new dad. He wants Justin to just mind his own business and stop trying to replace someone who's irreplaceable.
𝕗𝕒𝕞𝕚𝕝𝕪:
Neil Bryon Cassidy--Father 40
He was a hockey player on the side, in an adult league, and was a mechanic.
When she was younger, Neil was her world. Olivia idolized her father and so did her brother. He had a magical way with words, having this ability to bring any story to life. When he left, it shattered the two of them.
Ariana Page Lawrence--Mother 38
She's a lawyer.
Callum and her have a terrific relationship. However, when it comes to Olivia and her mother, it's very much a 50/50 chance of an argument or anger. Rarely do they get along these days.
Justin Lawrence--Step Dad
He's a high school English teacher.
They have a rocky relationship, but Olivia is definitely more accepting of him than Callum is. She loves him, but she couldn't ever call her dad, at least not when there are so many questions unanswered about her biological dad.
Callum Luka Cassidy--Brother 18
Cal is her rock. In all honesty, she doesn't know where she'd be without him. Sure, he gets on her nerves, but it's only because he knows her better than anyone else. They're pretty much inseparable and would literally die for the other.
Wesley John Lawrence--Half Brother 8
He's a lovable ball of joy, so it's impossible to hate him. He fits right on in with Cal and her, and he's thankfully unaware of the obstacle preventing their relationship to be as close as Olivia's is with Cal.
𝕗𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕕𝕤:
Olivia doesn't have many friends but she does have three notable people whom she hangs out with at school.
Owen Peters
He has a crush on her, but she's unaware of it. They've been friends since elementary school, and he knows that her dad left, but he knows that it's a sensitive topic and respects that boundary.
Amelia Gonzales
She met Amy freshman year through Felicity. Olivia likes her, but she has the tendency to be too much sometimes. Amy can be really overbearing, over-the-top, and all around dramatic. Everything somehow ends up being about her, and so it's hard for Olivia to not get annoyed with her. However, Amy can be a really fun person to hang out with. She's the life of the party, eccentric, vibrant and filled with life. Her personality just clashes with Olivia, but Via bites her tongue a lot of the time in order to not create conflict. For Via, Amelia is good in doses.
Felicity Carter
Felicity is her best friend of all time. The two constantly sleep over at each other's houses, and they're the type of friends that never argue or get mad each other. When they challenge each other, the other always knows that they're right, so it's hard to be mad when someone is aware of the truth.
𝕖𝕟𝕖𝕞𝕚𝕖𝕤:
Julia Romanov
Ever since she met Jules, the girl has hated her with a burning passion. Olivia doesn't really know what she did to make her despise her entire existence, but Julia will do whatever it takes to tear apart Olivia's self-confidence, the little she has of it anyway. In competitions, Julia is the person she always is competing against for first. They're rivals, but Olivia never really took it seriously but as they got older, she started to become more competitive. Partially out of spite, since Julia hated her even before they competed, but also because she wants to win.
𝕡𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕠𝕣 𝕔𝕦𝕣𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕥 𝕣𝕖𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕤:
None. Olivia hasn't ever had a boyfriend before, and she doubts that boys her age find her remotely attractive in any capacity.
𝕠𝕔𝕔𝕦𝕡𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟:
She teaches little kids how to figure skate, and she's an assistant to the choreographer in competitions for those that are younger. So really, she spends all of her time at the rink.
𝕡𝕖𝕥𝕤:
They have an old dog named Gordan that they nicknamed Gordy.
𝕝𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒𝕣𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤:
She lives in a house that has four bedrooms and bathrooms. Her family is upper middle class, so they have a house the size to reflect that.

"If you didn't like me, would you tell me?"
"You have to promise me that you won't lie to me, okay? I can handle it. If you hate me or if I'm a bad person, but you just have to let me know if you no longer want to be friends. Okay?"

Scenarios:
ONE--for some reason unbeknownst to you, there was something about Olivia Cassidy that intrigued you. Maybe it was her shyness, how she seemed content with being her own friend, or perhaps it was the loneliness you seemed to detect that everyone was oblivious to. Whatever the reason was, you wanted to get to know her, to figure out what it was that made her appear so sad, so distant and out of touch with reality. One day during study hall, you finally had the courage to actually turn your imaginative fantasy into a reality by crossing the threshold. Well, not really. All you did was sit across from her at one of the corner tables near the windows in the library. Her shoulders tensed slightly before her gaze rose from the textbook to meet yours, uncertainty and confusion thrown full force at you in her chocolate eyes.
"Umm, can I help you?" She asked, eyebrow furrowed as her wide eyes searched yours for answers that weren't there.
Her tone wasn't snotty or judgmental. It was curious and shockingly honest, as though she actually cared and wanted to fix whatever problem you might've had. However, it was the tense shoulders and the clear caution ridden in her posture that broke your heart. Why was she acting as though she needed to physically prepare herself for a conversation with a stranger?
You...?
TWO--you were a talented figure skater at Flourish known for your doubles program. Your partner got severely injured and wouldn't be back for the rest of the season, which meant you needed to find yourself someone to fill her place fast. When it came to a partner, it took years of trust in order to develop the necessary chemistry needed to actually win competitions. However, you were ambitious, and you were hoping that this would be the year in which you'd be able to qualify for nationals. During a club competition, you and your choreographer were observing, searching for someone that could potentially replace your partner. You couldn't just steal someone else's doubles partner, so your plan was to start from scratch. Several skaters stood out to you: Olivia Cassidy, Julia Romanov, and Harper Steele. Your choreographer believed Julia was the best option, since she had experience in the past in doubles competitions as a kid. However, there was something about Olivia's passion that made you hesitant about selecting Julia, who would without a doubt agree to work with you. After her skate, you went searching for her, finding her hugging a much taller male who looked similar to her.
You...?

THREE--you were best friends with Callum since you both were six. You were on the same team, and it was both of your first years playing. You guys instantly clicked, becoming the best of friends. Growing up, you were used to Via tagging along, being the voice of reason when you and Cal would get into mischief. She was smart, even then, so you both relied on her to be the brains behind your schemes. Now that you're older, you saw her less, but you still made a point to say hi and check up on her. She was always sweet, but you knew that, despite how hard she tried to hide it, she wasn't happy. Cal flourished in high school. He had lots of friends, and teachers loved him. But Via, she had always been quiet, reserved, introverted. Cal was the golden kid, and then there was Via--you couldn't help but pity her, but you also understood how hard it was to be associated with Callum, he was practically perfect at everything he attempted. However, you kept most of this to yourself, checking in every once in a while to make sure she was managing to some degree. Whether it was saying hi, teasing her, or walking her to her next class, you made sure to make her smile at least once a day. But you still kept your distance, not wanting to seem overbearing and overprotective, which is how Cal was when it came to her most of the time. You knew that she hated it when he got all up in her business, so you did your best to leave the interrogating to Cal.
However, that all changed when you heard a nasty rumor about Olivia and some jock. You didn't believe it, but that was mostly because you couldn't imagine sweet little Olivia willingly letting some random guy round all four bases, for lack of a better term, at a party. First of all, parties were very unlike Olivia, and second of all, you couldn't imagine her wanting to do that sort of thing, especially with some guy she didn't even know. This is precisely why you found yourself searching the hallway to find her that Monday morning, and you practically ran towards her locker.
"Hey," You gently said, searching her face, as though you could find your answer there.
Her brown eyes bore into yours, and it was then you noticed how glassy they appeared. Ever since you met her, you never saw Olivia cry before. It was almost as though she was incapable of doing so. Even when she got hurt, emotionally and physically, she never broke down in front of you or Callum. But, that day, in the middle of the hallway for all the wandering eyes to see, the carefully built walls collapsed all at once. Her head tilted down towards the floor as unstoppable tears streamed down her face, her forearms up as though she was trying to shield herself. Much like Olivia, even when she cried it was somehow silent, that is, except for the heart wrenching gasps that escaped as her shoulders shook. This definitely was the last thing you were expecting. It was unlike the Olivia you knew.
You...?
FOUR--you were popular and, if you were being honest, you didn't know who Olivia Cassidy was. You didn't even realize she was related to Callum Cassidy, most people didn't since they were very different personality wise. You were the captain of ____ sport team, and you had just won an important game for your season. Adrenaline pulsed through your veins from the excitement, and you felt like you were on cloud nine, that is, until a nervous girl made her way over towards her. You vaguely recognized her as the quiet girl from ____ class. Her arms were crossed over her chest as she quickly walked over towards you, eyes scanning those around, almost as though she was making sure the attention wasn't on her. You couldn't believe she was coming to talk to you of all people, since you guys hardly knew each other. You were beginning to think that maybe she was obsessed with you or something, because it was a bit weird if you were being honest. But before you could voice these opinions, she stood before you.
"Um, hey, y/n. I'm Olivia, from _____ class. I just, I know this isn't, I don't know. I just, I was wondering if you'd like to get coffee sometime," she said, finally looking up to meet your eyes. "With me," she added as her nose scrunched up slightly, a nervous, breathy chuckle escaping her lips. Her dark eyes were filled with hope, but you could also tell she was bracing herself for rejection when she looked down at her converse shoes.
You wanted to say no, but you were distracted by the snickering coming from your teammates who were practically eating this up.
You noticed the moment in which she registered what was happening, and her shoulders slumped inwardly. Rubbing the back of her neck, she shook her head, almost to herself, before she dropped her hand, flicking her wrist as though she was dismissing the idea. "You know what, it's fine. Forget I mentioned it. Really, it was stupid," the last part was said softly, as though she was chastising herself. An embarrassed thin lipped smile was all she offered you before she turned around, going to leave.
You....?
FIVE--make it up
