𝕨𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕥𝕖𝕟 𝕕𝕖𝕤𝕔𝕣𝕚𝕡𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝕠𝕗 𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖:
She has big blue eyes that are incredibly critical about the world around her. Curly, unruly mahogany locks make her appear very sweet and innocent when she's anything but. She is short and frail, lacking the curvature that defines a woman. She's all sharp features, physically and personality wise.

She's not crazy about body modifications since she'd rather save her money for college and gas. Piercings and tattoos are ridiculously expensive if you want to have them done right. Teresa also happens to be a bit of a penny pincher.
𝕡𝕚𝕖𝕣𝕔𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕤:
She just has the standard lobe piercing.
𝕤𝕔𝕒𝕣𝕤:
Nothing really notable. She has little scars and scratches from being a bulldozer as a kid. She was always a mischievous, fearless kid whose curiosity almost got her in more trouble than her mouth did.

𝕡𝕙𝕪𝕤𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕝 𝕙𝕖𝕒𝕝𝕥𝕙:
Teresa has terrible asthma, to the point she can't participate in gym class. It is crucial that she has an inhaler on her at all times. If she becomes highly emotional or sprints, her lungs won't be able to keep up with her. She'll suddenly be unable to breathe as she basically drowns on air. Her body quite literally forgets how to breathe. Because of this, doctors fear for her immune system. If she gets cold that comes with a terrible cough, it would be extremely dangerous since she can't really breathe to begin with. So, she has to take a lot of supplements to try and boost her immune system in case she does get sick.

𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕪:
Teresa is a complicated person in the sense that she's very much Jackal and Hyde. Her personality is split from one extreme to the other. She's not bipolar, just two very distinctive people inside on body. She's either really peppy cheerful and present, a complete go-getter driven by the desire to succeed, or she's quiet, bitter, critical and isolated. You don't really know what you're going to get. What you can rely on is her indecisiveness, because as someone who overthinks practically every decision, Teresa isn't the type to be impulsive. She thinks things through, has to see all the possibilities before her and weigh all the consequences before making a decision. However, there are rare cases where she'll just do something without even thinking. Usually, that's when someone has caught her attention and made her highly curious about whatever is going on. During those situations, it's best to flee for the hills while you still can before she bombards you with endless questions. The best way to describe how she operates is to compare it to a constant civil war within herself, which only heightens when she starts thinking about the future and the type of person she wants to be. With a fear of dissatisfaction, she often stresses herself out over things that won't be happening until ten, twenty years from now. However, for the most part, despite her pessimistic attitude and frequent snarky comments, Teresa has a heart of gold when it counts. She comes off a bit hard to swallow with her aggressive and forward nature, but underneath all of that, she can be the most empathetic, compassionate person you've ever met. She's capable of being gentle and of loving other people. If she cares about someone, she'd sacrifice anything for them. Yes, she's a bit of conundrum, but the person underneath her flaws is worth sticking around to know. Because once she values you, her loyalty is lifelong, even if you try to sever the connection. However, Teresa also needs challenge in her life. She's incredibly smart and tactical, so she needs a person or issue that requires her to use her brain in a different way. She often gets bored incredibly easy, and her patience is always lacking. She has a tendency to overcompensate, biting off more than she can chew, or not leaving well enough alone, only because she's terrified of wasting away and having nothing to occupy her thoughts.
𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖𝕤:
Teresa thrives off of helping others, hence why she cherishes her job so much. She loves being able to make someone's bad day into a good one. She loves to ride her bike, which is something she technically shouldn't do but does anyway. She always has her inhaler on her and makes sure to go at a leisurely pace. Writing, reading, interviewing people, and uncovering the truth are things that make her feel whole. She lives for that, and, of course, a good challenge, really any opportunity to use her brain. As a sentimental person, she loves deep, thoughtful conversations, especially those of which take a turn in the philosophical direction.
𝕕𝕚𝕤𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖𝕤:
She hates being left alone or social for too long. This girl needs BALANCE, otherwise she'll loose her mind. If you really want to see her turn into a hothead, either tell her what to do, be right, or chastise her. Her pride makes it impossible for her to admit when she's wrong or to show her vulnerabilities. It takes a bit of poking and prodding to get her to open up. She'd just rather listen to what other people have to say than to offer any sort of information about herself. Teresa finds herself to be excruciatingly plain and boring, and she feels like once people know her, they'll see that and get disinterested. She also can't stand mangoes.
𝕤𝕥𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕘𝕥𝕙𝕤:
Teresa is an excellent problem solver due to her analytical, logical perspective on things. She has always been a very methodical, organized person. Teresa doesn't do well with clutter and chaos, so she's the best person to have around to mediate an argument or if you need some help organizing your room. She needs order at all times, and without it, she feels overwhelmed. An outside of the box thinker, she also happens to be extremely resourceful and her determination enables her to get what she wants. She is too persistent for her own good. She's an empathetic person and has always been good at reading between the lines; she can tell what someone needs without them having to tell her.
𝕨𝕖𝕒𝕜𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕖𝕤:
She's a bit OCD, especially with her room. Everything has a place, and when someone moves something, they better be prepared for the banshee they let loose. Teresa also doesn't do 'no'. When someone tells her she can't do something, she'll stop at nothing to prove them wrong. This isn't a good combination with her blatant disregard for authority. She does what she wants when she wants to no matter at what expense. She's stubborn and defiant, and when she's angry, she's angry. She enters full-blown passive aggressive Karen mode. Did I mention she holds a mean grudge?
𝕗𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕤:
That she'll be unhappy in her future. Dissatisfaction is something that keeps her up at night. What if she gets married and one day realizes she doesn't love them anymore? What if she gets a job that made her happy once but now leaves her feeling unfulfilled? What if she is always looking forward to the next era in her life and will forever feel out of place? She just wants to belong and to feel as though she was important. Her fears all revolve to her basically dying without leaving some sort of impact.
𝕥𝕒𝕝𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤:
She's good at asking questions and uncovering information that doesn't want to be found. She's terrible at creative writing, but investigative writing? Sign her up. She's an excellent journalist and writes for the school paper. She's the editor of the newspaper as a Junior, which is a feat considering the editor has been a senior for almost a decade.
𝕗𝕝𝕒𝕨𝕤:
Her curiosity often leads to her forgetting that people are people. There are times when she gets so caught up in the story that she forgets that she's dealing with real people who have real emotions. Sometimes she can come off as insensitive, but once she realizes it, she profusely apologies. However, that is relying on the fact that she'll realize she's being insensitive. Moreover, Teresa is a blunt person. She doesn't beat around the bush, which can lead to her delivering information in the wrong way. She's terribly ambitious and looses sight of the important things when she gets caught up in the little details.
𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕣𝕜𝕤:
She always has a notebook on her at all times with a pen and a camcorder to record audio. She often speaks to it, which makes it appear as though she's talking to herself, when, in reality, she's merely taking verbal notes.
When she's impatient, she'll tap her foot loudly and have her arms crossed over her chest. When she's annoyed she'll jut out her chin defiantly, as if it'll compensate for her lack in height.
Without coffee in her system, she is a complete and utter wreck. She'll be extremely bitter, tired, and behave very curtly.
When she laughs she snorts, it's something that is hideous but she can't help it either way. She used to be ashamed of it, but at this point, she has a: who the hell cares kind of attitude.
𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕒𝕝 𝕙𝕖𝕒𝕝𝕥𝕙:
At the moment, she has nothing serious, just unresolved feelings that she has to work through. She never really mourned for the loss of her father. She just hasn't ever given herself the opportunity to truly recognize what had happened. It's almost as though she's in denial and feels like he'll be back. She treats his death as though he went on a business meeting that happened to last two years.

𝕓𝕒𝕔𝕜𝕤𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕪:
Her parents were in love with each other deeply. They didn't fake it until they made it like a lot of other couples did for the sake of their children. So, growing up, Teresa was exposed to what true love was like first hand. Her parents had this genuine, unconditional love for not only each other, but for their children. Teresa and her siblings had a happy, jovial childhood full of laughter and love. Teresa was even a hopeless romantic, always dreaming that she'd find her soulmate. She was happy, terribly ignorant, but full of optimism and life that nothing or no one could shatter. But everything changed that fateful afternoon when her father was killed. He was a police officer in the city. One day, he was off the clock when he overheard some suspicious characters in an alley. Her father, who was too selfless and curious for his own good, decided to play the hero when he should've been thinking about his own safety, or at least his family. He decided to follow the signs of danger, with his gun at the ready, and investigated the situation. Teresa never understood why her father thought it was a good idea. When something sketchy was occurring, you ignored it until all signs of potential danger were gone. Then you called the authorities, who would take care of it as a group. But no, maybe it was pride or him desperate to seek a thrill, he interrupted a drug deal. Before he could lift up his gun, the shots were fired. He was left to bleed out into the alleyway, left for dead. Maybe if they got there sooner, if they had found him earlier, he would've been still alive. Ever since that day freshman year, she completely changed. She became bitter, more hostile, sarcastic. All of which were mechanisms used to cope with the premature death of her father. She has yet to fully unpack her emotions on the manner. When it happened, she threw herself into schoolwork, literally anything to distract her from the fact that her father was dead and never coming back. Her mom works fulltime as a doctor, making enough money to make ends meet. However, they aren't rich enough to pay for college, so Teresa got a job. It was a nice distraction from everything and having money gave a person freedom. Plus there's also the fact that she doesn't want her mother to work herself to death in order to make sure her daughters get everything they could ever want in life.
𝕗𝕒𝕞𝕚𝕝𝕪:
Michael Evan Carter--Father deceased
They were close, much closer than Teresa and her mother. Teresa was more of a tomboy than her sister. She was fascinated by a lot of the things her dad liked to do. So she was found playing outside, doing yardwork, watching her dad fix the broken things around the house, more than being cooped up and playing with dolls.
Francesca Harlow Carter--Mother Age 48
They get along well enough. They still butt heads, but there's a bond between them that had gotten stronger once Michael died. There's mutual respect, but Francesca wants more for her eldest. She can see how Teresa beats herself up and ignores her emotions. It pains her to watch her unfold, but she knows there is no discussing that matter with Teresa.
Maven Willa Carter--Sister age 14
It's your typical love hate relationship. They bicker and quarrel more often than not, but it always comes from a place of mutual fondness and irritability. They get on each other's nerves so much because they care about each other.
𝕗𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕕𝕤:
Mr. Collins--her journalism teacher and advisor for the school newspaper. He denies it, but Teresa is his favorite student. She eats lunch in his classroom because she doesn't really have a lot of friends.
Emmerson Daughtery--she is Teresa's best friend and deserves to be treated much better. However, she understands that Teresa is still going through a lot, and she doesn't push her. However, one day, she's going to snap.
Louis Cappelli--They have a very brotherly/sisterly bond. They bicker like an old married couple and everyone thinks they're dating since people of the opposite sex can't be friends according to society's rules. He joins her with Mr. Collins for lunch that way administration or the student body won't think anything ill of the relationship. Loui is also part of the newspaper, covering the sports section (Teresa doesn't understand why it's a necessary beat).
𝕖𝕟𝕖𝕞𝕚𝕖𝕤:
Literally anyone popular. Also, administration hates her. She often hassles them for information regarding scandals they don't want to talk about. For instance, how they cut the arts funding last year. Teresa wrote an article on it, and she wanted some quotes from the council and principles on the matter. She badgered them for three months before they decided to answer her questions.
𝕡𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕠𝕣 𝕔𝕦𝕣𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕥 𝕣𝕖𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕤:
Does she look like the type to entertain such foolishness? Honestly, she's quite intimidating and dances to the beat of her own drum, so people kind of don't see her in a romantic light. They see her as a handful and incredibly weird.
𝕠𝕔𝕔𝕦𝕡𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟:
She works in the activities department of a nursing home. She loves working with the elderly since Teresa is better at understanding the old and young rather than those her own age.
𝕡𝕖𝕥𝕤:
A male husky corgi named Beans. Well, his actual name was Bernard, but when she was a kid, she called him Beans. The later stuck more than the old man's name. He was a rescue.
𝕝𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒𝕣𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤:
She lives with her mother and her little sister in a home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's modest, but better than living in a townhouse or an apartment complex.

"This is bullshit, and the sad thing is you know it too."

Scenarios:
ONE—Louis was on vacation, which meant Teresa was in charge of covering the sport updates for the week. You were the captain of ____ sport and you had a terrific season come to a close. You choose how far the team went. Louis had emailed you, setting up a date for an interview with the whole team in order to get quotes and inside details in the whole ordeal. It was after the biggest game of the season, and you were in the locker room with your teammates celebrating. Louis told you that an associate would be filling in for him. Enter Teresa! "I hope I won't have to bleach my retinas after this," you heard a bitter feminine voice sarcastically shout, followed by footsteps. Standing before you all in your half naked glory was a shameless girl whom you recognized as the annoying bïtch everyone seemed talked about. The wannabe reporter. A pen at the ready she stared back as though the blatant shock on your teammates faces was an astonishing turn of events. "What? This is the time of the interview. You all should be ready. Do you want a highlight in the paper or not? Cause honestly, this is a waste of my time if you all are just going to gawk. If you're bashful, put on some clothes and be snippy about it. Now, do you mind if I record the audio. Just for reference sake so that I don't misquote anybody," she bluntly stated, not missing a beat as she clicked the top of her pen, hand hovering above the yellow notepad.
You....?
TWO—make it up
