Hardy is a stocky fellow. He's not incredibly short, but definitely on the shorter side for males. He has a sturdy, muscular build, and appears to be intimidating at first glance. However, he very much is a softy. Practically always smiling, Hardy has an aura of light, and his charismatic grin draws people towards him. He always has a clean kept beard and mustache. It's rare he shaves his face completely since he prefers the stubbled look (otherwise he looks like a prepubescent teenager). He's definitely more scrappy looking than a pretty-boy, but not rugged enough to look like a lumberjack.

Hardy is in peak physical health, doing his best to eat a clean diet and exercise. He values physical health, especially in the people he surrounds himself with. He is definitely the type to 'mother' and badger a friend into doing things that'll improve their overall health.

~◈ᑭᔕƳᑕᕼᗝᒪᗝǤᎥᑕᗩᒪ◈~
𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕪:
Harding is very much an old soul. He's the type of man that appreciates the little things and notices the insignificant details. Overall, he has a sweet, charming nature, and is the type of person people are drawn to like moths to a flame. Being a positive, reliable person who would drop anything to help someone else in need, Hardy often gets taken advantage of. In this case, he never learns. He is the type to give a person everything he has, and when they don't return the favor, he is left feeling hurt and used. He has yet to realize that he's a giver in a taker world, and that he needs to stop giving so much of himself to other people. Hardy has a strong moral compass and is stubborn in his views, which leaves him to be a very closeminded individual. It's hard to change his mind when he has it made up, but that doesn't mean it's impossible. When he's in a stressful situation, Hardy is capable of staying levelheaded. He doesn't let his emotions get the best of him or his logic often, however it does happen, especially if someone he cares about is involved. Most of the time, he's a calm, patient, carefree person, and it takes a lot of effort to get him angry or frustrated. Harding is not the type to cry over spilled milk either due to his logical, analytical approach to things.
𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖𝕤:
Hardy loves music, trying new things, and venturing outside of his comfort zone. With his personality, Hardy is the type to get caught in routine. He isn't super adventurous or spontaneous, but he loves people who can bring out that side of him. He loves helping people, fixing people and objects, and solving puzzles. He loves riddles and using his brain. You will most definitely see him scouting over a newspaper trying to fill in the crosswords. He loves games too.
𝕕𝕚𝕤𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖𝕤:
Harding doesn't do too well with orders if it goes against his morals. Otherwise, he's as obedient as a dog. He hates being conflicted, when people take advantage of him, and when he can't help someone else. The most distraught he'll ever be is when he's in a situation and he's helpless. He can't stand being powerless or when things are out of control. He's a man who is fond of order. If you tell Hardy he can't do something, he most likely will do it (within reason) just to prove that he can do anything he puts his mind to. Criticisms he can't seem to handle because he sees it as him failing, when really it could be something constructive to strengthen his character. Hardy hates cigarettes and green beans.
𝕤𝕥𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕘𝕥𝕙𝕤:
Hardy is great with people. Once he flashes his charming grin, he can pretty much get any information out of another human being. He has a trustworthy, wise expression, which makes people trust him with their deepest secrets. He's good at pleasing people, using his resources to his advantage, and staying true to his word. He never makes a promise he can't keep, and he is so sound with his morals, nothing could make him ditch them.
𝕨𝕖𝕒𝕜𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕖𝕤:
Hardy can't take criticism well whatsoever. Being a perfectionist, it's hard to see criticism as anything but a failure. When it comes to children, Hardy would do anything for them. When he has to deal with a pedophile, or a murderer of a child, it takes a lot of willpower for him to not just kill the person. It's an awful thing to realize, especially for someone like Hardy who tries to do everything nobly. There are days where part of him wants to end someone's life, especially if they're a monster, and that thought scares him.
𝕗𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕤:
He's terrified of hurting or loosing someone he loves. More than anything, Harding is deeply terrified of making mistakes. Simply ones, he doesn't mind. The big ones, however, terrify him. He hopes he'll never be in a position where he miscalculates something and it costs someone their life.
𝕥𝕒𝕝𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤:
Hardy can think quickly on his feet, and he has a keen intellect. He is an observant person and is very intuitive. He's good at fixing random things and figuring out how to fix things. He's a handy man.
𝕗𝕝𝕒𝕨𝕤:
Unfortunately, Hardy is the jealous type. It doesn't take much, but luckily, he's not possessive. He just feels threatened easily. He also has trouble seeing other people's perspectives, but if they take the time to explain it to him, he'll be more openminded. Because he's so firmly set in his morals, he can be very closedminded.
𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕣𝕜𝕤:
He's a nervous laugher. If he's in a situation where he doesn't feel like he's in control, a strained or flat chuckle will most likely leave his lips.
Hardy often chews on the inside corner of his cheek when he's deep in thought or if he's feeling restless. Often times he's chewing gum because it keeps him from chewing his cheek.
He sings to himself in his patrol car subconsciously, since they aren't really allowed to use radios for music. Sometimes he'll break that rule though if it's an unusually, slow day.
𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕒𝕝 𝕙𝕖𝕒𝕝𝕥𝕙:
For the most part, he has fine mental health. He doesn't have any underlying illnesses. However, guilt doesn't really sit well with him, like most people, and it makes him feel very anxious.

~◈ᗷᗩᑕᛕǤᖇᗝᑌᑎᗪ◈~
𝕓𝕒𝕔𝕜𝕤𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕪:
Growing up, his parents weren't the best. In all honesty, they shouldn't have been parents. They'd be incredible actors if they just tried, but instead, they earned their income by cheating and stealing. Con-artists is what they were, and it's one of the reasons why Harding is so detail oriented. He was raised to notice the little details in order to get better at hustling people. They created fake money, rigged bets, and cheated when they gambled. They'd hack into computers and call old people pretending to be their grandchild in the hospital in need of money. They were crooks that never got caught. His parents took advantage of the ignorant, and they tried to get their son in on the gig. Unfortunately for them, Harding is a terrible liar. Whenever he lies, his face turns red and he gets a panicky expression in his face like he's about to puke. Realizing that their son was a failure, they kept him out of their affairs knowing that if they ever got caught, he'd be the one to break. In school, Harding was at the top of his class. He wasn't the brightest, but he could hold his own and took all of the harder classes. He played football and baseball all throughout middle school and high school. He was an excellent quarterback and catcher. Harding was always a likeable person, being one of the popular kids in high school (popular for being a kind person, not for being rich). He realized he wanted to be a cop freshman year of high school because he detested his parents so much. He wanted to catch criminals, to bring bad people to justice in order to protect the innocent. He was tired of seeing people get swindled and cheated. So, he went to the police academy and landed a job at Station 249. The Station actually ended up paying for his education in forensic science and criminal justice (both of which he needs a degree in to become a detective) after he served on the streets for four years as a patrol officer. He still is a patrol officer, but Harding is also getting his masters in the above fields. He only has one more year left and then he'll have to work alongside a detective for several years until he can be his own.
𝕗𝕒𝕞𝕚𝕝𝕪:
Mallory Lewis--mother age 62
Henrik Lewis--father age 65
Hardy doesn't talk to either, despite their attempts to contact him claiming that they've changed. He is done with them, and he never wants to see them again. They're a touchy subject for him.
𝕗𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕕𝕤:
Alby Mathews--Work Wife
They are patrol partners from time to time. In the beginning, Alby was the one who trained him when Hardy was a rookie. They're best friends and would die for each other. They're closer than brothers in all honesty.
Savannah Muller--The Wannabe Italian
Whenever Hardy needs relationship advice, he goes to her. Savannah is a licensed therapist, and she often reminds Hardy of the skills he needs to work on. She is very motherly towards Hardy and pretty much everyone. She's the type to make a bunch of food and finds it insulting if you don't eat three times your weight.
Ralph Muller--The Shrink's Hubby
They've been friends since high school. They know each other better than anyone, and They get on each other's nerves constantly. Ralph is the closest thing to a brother Hardy ever had, and they very much have a love hate relationship. However, if either needed anything, even if they were in a huge fight, they'd do anything for each other.
Rachel Laars--Neighbor
Rachel is single just like him, and they often hang out and have dinner with each other if the other's lonely or recently broken up with. They're the type of friends who wallow in self-pity together and then go bowling and get icecream.
𝕖𝕟𝕖𝕞𝕚𝕖𝕤:
None that he knows of. Hardy is a very affable person, and it's very hard to hate him. He's one of those annoyingly nice people who you know is genuine, so you know you can't just dislike them even if you want to.
𝕡𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕠𝕣 𝕔𝕦𝕣𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕥 𝕣𝕖𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕤:
Hardy isn't in a relationship at the moment, but he had only two long term relationships. His first was with a girl named Charlotte Silverstein. They started dating freshman year of high school and stayed together until the beginning of Sophomore year of college. After attempting to make the long distance relationship work, they realized that it wasn't in the cards for them. It was horrible admitting that, but it was the truth and the right decision to make at the time.

Two years later, he started dating Colin Fitzgerald, and they were together for two years. However, half of their second year was plagued with horrible arguments and fights. They loved each other, but Hardy's busy schedule really put tension on their relationship. They both had different views for their futures too, and Colin's art career finally was taking off. He needed to go to New York after receiving a scholarship to reenter art school. Hardy's loyalty lied with his station, so he felt like he couldn't go after him. Since then, Hardy had gone on several dates, but no one really intrigued him.
𝕠𝕔𝕔𝕦𝕡𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟:
Police Officer and aspiring detective (he's still undergoing training for the later)
𝕡𝕖𝕥𝕤:
He has a golden retriever named Chief who he's had for three years now. Colin and him adopted the puppy, and when they broke up, Colin allowed Hardy to keep him, knowing Harding would be able to take care of Chief better than he would.
𝕝𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒𝕣𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤:
Hardy lives in a nice flat with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is always spick and span.
