Saturday.

Lai's POV

I became to wake up from

called cam at the work while she rushes to the train station.

"HEY SAMMY!!!" She shouted.

"HEY, lower your tone! I know you're la-"

"Yeah, I know Sam!! Tell Ms. Nuna I'll be there!"

She replied as she turned off the call and went inside the train station.

"I am so sorry ma'am!!" Said Lai as she excuses herself to her boss.

Ms. Nuna shouted,
"Well next time, WAKE UP EARLY!!!"

It became quiet then-

"Don't just stand there, go to work!" Shouted Ms. Luna

"Y-yes, Ma'am!!" they both replied and started to work

"Thanks, Sam for helping me. I'll treat you after work. Are you free later?" Lai asked.

"I.. Yeah, I mean, n, yeah I'll check!" He replied as he scratches his head and smiled at her.

The bell in the doorbells and a man came in and sat on a chair in front of Lai. She caught his eyes looked drowsy when they both looked at each other the man asked:

"What are you looking at?"

"I-Uh, What's your shot sir?"

"Just beer."

"O-okay!"

Lai gave the guy a shot glass and the guy took it and drank it.

"Whoa! This guy might get drunk tonight..." Lai said to herself.

The silence was broken when the guy reaches for Lai's hand.-

"Hey, Lai."

"Whoa!!! H-how did u know my name???!" She shouted at him as she got shocked.

"Uhh, you have a name in your left chest. It's Lai, right?" The guy replied as he looked at Lai confused why she got shocked.

"I forgot, this is awkward." Said Lai to herself

"HEY SWEET LADY!!!!" Shouted the guy who's with his guy friends at a table.

Lai ignored it, but the guy went near Lai and smiled at her.

"If you gonna make trouble please get out." Said Lai.

"Hey, did you not hear her???" Said the guy who just talked with Lai.

"Who the hell even are you?? You're just a customer!" The drunk guy throws a punch at him, he dodges it and came back with a punch!

Then, everything was a mess.

It was closing time, and Lai looked depressed about what happened. As she mops the floor and while others started to clean the tables, Sam went near her and started watching her.

"My money........ Stupid customers... My paycheck...." Said Lai to herself looking down.

"Hey, Lai, about what you said earlier... I can't go my friends invited me to a party, so maybe next time you'll just repay me?" He asked.

"Oh great, I wanted a distraction from what happened. I guess I'll be alone tonight at my place playing video games." Said Lai to herself.

"Yeah sure, you can pass you my best friend anyway!" She replied to him, smiling.

"Thanks, Lauren, I appreciate it." He said as he started going to the changing room.

As everyone left, Lai was walking alone in a street. When she suddenly heard stomps, because someone is following her. She stops and turns around and she realized she was being followed by the guy she was talking to before.

"Oh, why are you following me??" She asked.

"You don't remember, do you?" He said

"What do you mean I remember?? I don't rememb-"

"I'm Liam, you idiot. I'm your college pal!" He shouted.

"Li-Liam? AH LIAM, IT IS YOU!!!!" She shouted as she jumped and hugged his old pal Liam.

"Whoa, what the hell happened to you, Liam? You've changed a lot!" She added.

"Well, time flies I guess." He replied scratching his head.

"Hey, wanna come tonight? Let's do what we always do before!"

"Wait you still do that??!!" He asked.

"Uh, Yeah since when did I stop playing Xbox, huh?" She replied, laughing at Liam's face confused why she still plays Xbox.

"Geez, at the age of 20 you still play that? That's weird, but hey! I wanna go back from where we left before!" He replied.

"Hey, anyone can play Xbox!" She said.

"AW COME ON!!! HOW COME YOU CAN WIN TO ME WHEN YOU DON'T PLAY ANYMORE???!!" Lai shouted as she punches Liam at his shoulder.

"A-AW!!! Hey, do you even know what skills mean?" He replied, smirking at her. She blushed and turned back to the player.

"I-I don't know you jerk!! You must be hacking!" She replied as she looked back to the game.

(Silence)

Then Liam holds her hand didn't move his character and hugged Lai from her back.

(Silence)

"I miss you. I miss this. I miss us."

"Me too" she replied and added-

"But it's time to move on Liam, we can't do anything about it now..."

And smiled at him and they both continued to play.

"I guess it's time for you to go back since you're just visiting for 2 months here in California right?" Lai asked

"Yeah, I'll go back to the Philippines next week. I'm still traveling there and it's fun, you should come." He replied as he goes outside her room.

And as he was outside she added-

"Goodbye, Liam."

"..."

"Goodbye." He replied as he turns around and left.

End~

I guess... Some people just really can't have their own FOREVER. -Lai
