~4~
When the dawn had slain the dusk, I thought, 'Perhaps there is hope yet.'

"More trouble.." Eiji sighed, he got the feeling things were about to get a whole bunch more lively. Ash however, seemed to be an absolute polar to Eiji- despite his still bleeding leg wound, his eyes were lit up and fuelled with the flames of rebellion. It was like he was enjoying this.
Eiji would have preferred to stay comfortably in that bathroom, with the door locked and no strange men (besides Ash, for whatever reason he didn't seem to mind Ash.) But, of course the door had other ideas, soon buckling to a furious kick which almost broke the thing from its hinges. Eiji flinched backwards, a small peep of surprise escaping his lips. Ash calmly and collectively pointed the gun towards the door.
The man who stood proud and victorious at the entry to the bathroom reminded Eiji of Ash in an unsettling sort of manner. He wasn't sure if it was the wild appearance, the eyes that hungered to see a thrill or the intimidating aura that coated the air thick, upon his unwanted arrival that made Eiji see Ash somewhere in that man.
"Aaaaasssssshhh," The way he excitedly hissed the name felt like venom to Eiji's ears, "I've got your piece of shit ass now!~"
"Watch out," Ash spoke to Eiji in a dry tone, "The walking dick you see before you's called Fredrick."
Eiji thought they almost looked like brothers, the way they seemed to share the same shade of lemon hair. Ash kept his gun levelled with Fredrick who did the same, only his gun was pointed at Ash's chest. "I see you got yourself shot," Fredrick snickered, Ash grunted in reply.
Time almost seemed to freeze in the next moment, one second Fredrick was standing like a hungry lion gazing at his weakened prey by the door, and the next he was being barged over by a boy would couldn't be more than twelve years of age. By his side appeared a man with a purple mohawk who causally fired a few warning shots at the scrambling and fleeing Fredrick who had come to terms that it was now he who was the prey.
"Ash!" The little boy ran worriedly to Ash's side, completely ignoring Eiji, "Are you okay?!"
"He's fine," the man with the Mohawk answered for him, "Our boss is as tough as nails."
"Shorter's right," Ash mumbled to the boy, "I'll be fine."
The man Eiji presumed to be Shorter, turned and leveled his gun with Eiji's face- truthfully, Eiji was getting a little sick of this routine. His heart pounded in his ears regardless.
"And who's this?" Shorter yawned as he spoke, clearly noticing Eiji's lack of threat.
Ash's smile hid a faint pride, "Shorter, Skipper- meet Eiji, the man I was supposed to kill and the man who saved my life."
Eiji blushed shyly, still awkwardly pressed against the bathroom wall. "Hi," he peeped, not really sure of the right thing to say. Eiji turned to Ash, his face notably darkened, "We need to ring an ambulance, your leg doesn't look good."
"Baah," Ash scoffed, "Did you not hear me just say i'd be fi..." Ash's head began to feel woozy. "Of course," he grumbled, "Of course, right as I-" everything became a mix and slosh of colours, Ash couldn't tell right from left, forget about seeing straight. The last thing he heard were Eiji's desperate cries to call an ambulance.
Ash become suffocated in a thick darkness.

So did you enjoy Chapter 4?
Also for those who might be worried that this is just going to be basically the same thing as the anime- just written differently, don't worry it's not. I have stuff in mind, stuff that you'll hopefully all enjoy.
