After the ultimatum Ashley had left Josh after Raw the previous week, he had some time to himself to truly think about his relationship with not only her, but also with Gionna. He had been speaking less and less with Ashley, and more and more with Gio, so it was clear to him that not only did he feel less loved by Ashley, but at the same time, more loved by Gionna, and more than a best friend. Tonight was a mixed tag team match, with both Gionna and Ashley messaging him asking him to be their tag team partner.

Ashley: So, here's a way to assure me we're on the same page in every aspect of our lives. A mixed tag match against that little brat, Gionna and a partner of her choice. And I want you as my partner as I want you there to see me beat her to a pulp.

Gionna: So,I've just been told it's a mixed tag team match, and me and Ashley have to choose our partners. And I know it'd be kinda awkward for you, but I was kinda hoping that my partner would be... you? Because I want you to see how much I've improved my skills!

Josh was torn, between his girlfriend and his best friend. He took some time to think it over, and after seeing certain information circulating around the locker room that Ashley had chosen somebody else for her partner, so replied to both messages in different ways.

Josh (to Ashley): You do what you want, but truthfully, I don't want any part of this and don't want to be involved.

Josh: Seems to me like Ashley's made her decision on her own, so after thinking about it, if you want me as your partner, then I'll do it. We'll see how she likes it when her boyfriend is up against her...

The two agreed to meet at the arena, and as he arrived, he saw Ashley having a chat with who Josh had no doubt was her partner, which, coincidentally enough, would be Josh's Wrestlemania opponent for the United States Championship, Andrade. She saw him walk by, and tried to get his attention, but Josh simply shook his head and carried on walking to his locker room, where Gionna was waiting for him.

Gionna: Hey, bestie!

Josh: Hey, you. You're looking good tonight.

Gionna: Same goes for you. So, what did Ashley say about you being my partner?

Josh: Er... about that... I actually just told her I want no part of what goes on between you two in the ring, and I want no involvement.

Gionna: Sneaky, leave them guessing. I like it!

Josh: And I'm pretty much certain that her partner is my future opponent for the US title at Mania, Andrade, cos I saw them chatting away en route to here.

Gionna: Well, tonight's gonna be interesting to say the least...

Soon enough, it was time for the match and after Ashley had made her entrance, with next to no reaction from the crowd, she spoke on the mic.

Ashley: Liv Morgan... wow, little Liv Morgan. The Royal Rumble, you got lucky, but last week, in that No Disqualification match, you made things personal. And I know you have nobody to help you tonight in our mixed tag, whereas I have enlisted the help of a certain 'El Idolo'...

And out came Andrade, accompanied by Garza and Zelina, proudly holding the United States Championship above his head to a chorus of boos, coming to the ring and shaking Ashley's hand.

Zelina: Livvy?! If you're watching this, there's one last women's Elimination Chamber spot up for grabs, and next week, I hereby challenge you for it - that is... unless you're worried you won't survive tonight!

As everyone in the ring laughed, Gionna's time was now. She heard every word and came out to the ramp, with a look in her eye that could kill anyone.

Gionna: Well, first things first, Zelina... I accept your challenge for next week, and it'll be me that has the last laugh not just then, but also for tonight. Cos you see, Queeny, I'm not alone for tonight...

As the arena then went black, the lights came back on when Josh's music hit, and as the crowd were cheering, Ashley was furious. She had been double crossed by her own boyfriend. As he and Gio got in the ring, Ashley got right up in her boyfriend's face.

Ashley: What the hell is this?

Josh: It's called being a good friend, something you obviously know nothing about.

He got to the apron and let Gio start things off, with a few kicks and even a springboard moonsault, which she had seen Josh do and tried it for herself, and she nailed it to perfection. Before long though, Ashley speared Gio and made the tag to Andrade. After giving him and Zelina a slap to the face, Gio made the tag to Josh, who couldn't wait to get his hands on Andrade.

Josh: Welcome to my playground, Idolo.

Andrade went for the attack, but Josh expertly dodged it, and lit the US champ up with punches and spin kicks, to which Andrade could not retaliate. Gionna was happy with what she was seeing, while Ash wasn't happy at all. After Gio got the tag back in, she speared Ashley off the apron, and set to work, with her Jersey Codebreaker hitting The Queen where it hurts when they got back in the ring, which then set up her Flatliner from the ropes, and as she went for the pin, Josh jumped over both the girls and the top rope, laying out Andrade and Garza before they could make the save.

Mike: Here are your winners, the team of Josh Stevens and Liv Morgan!

Josh then got back in the ring, and both his and Gio's hands were raised in victory. She gave Josh a hug and losing herself in the moment, she wrapped her arms around Josh's neck and leaned in and kissed him, with Josh kissing her back. The crowd immediately lost it, as did Ashley, who was now at ringside, as she was gobsmacked as to what was going on. When Josh and Liv pulled away from each other, smiling like hell, Josh then got a mic and stared down Ashley.

Josh: Hey, Charlotte! Or... should I say Ashley?

The look on her face was absolute fury.

Josh: After the ultimatum you gave me last week, and tonight going the way it did... I've made my decision. I choose her. Me and you... it's over. We're done.

Ashley ended up being held back by Andrade and Garza and Zelina, as she had now completely lost it. The relationship between her and Josh was now torn apart.

Ashley: You son of a... I'll end you! This isn't over! This is not over!

Eventually, she calmed down enough to not be held back anymore, but not when Gionna then got the mic.

Gionna: Guess what, Queeny? Move aside, because it looks like this guy has chosen a new queen for his throne!

She wrapped her arm around Josh, who just picked her up, bridesmaid style. Feeling a little flushed, she felt safe and secure, whereas Ashley had gone into a full-blown rage. She went backstage, almost in angry tears, with Andrade and the others following her.

Josh: Oh, and one more thing. I was told earlier tonight that next week on Raw, there is a battle royal to determine the last person in the men's Elimination Chamber match. As far as I'm concerned, count me in!

Gionna: And Zelina, as for your challenge next week... I accept! And when I'm done in the Chamber... Becky... I'm coming for you.

The two then got backstage hand in hand, to where Triple H was waiting for them.

Hunter: Well, there's relationships ending... and there's what happened tonight. Ashley was so furious she didn't even bother staying here. She didn't speak to anyone and left as soon as she got backstage. Can only assume she got an Uber as your car's still here.

Josh: She made me choose between Gio and her... and to be honest, I feel I made the right decision.

Gio just gripped Josh's hand in sheer delight.

Hunter: So, in regards to next week, everyone who's in the Chamber matches has qualified, or been told they're in the match. Gio, you'll be beating Zelina next week, and Josh, you'll be winning the battle royal to qualify.

Josh: Just remind me, who else is in the Chamber for the men's match?

Hunter: Samoa Joe and Seth are both in it as neither won their match, Aleister, AJ, and your future rival, the US Champion, Andrade. You'll be pinning him to eliminate him, but as for who you're getting eliminated by, that's up to you.

Josh: Honestly, I'd rather be pinned by Aleister cos he's that kinda guy who can just whack you with Black Mass from nowhere, and on anyone.

Hunter: Noted. As for you, Gio, since you're booked to win the Chamber match, we thought, to end your rivalry with Ashley, you'll be pinning her.

Gionna: Nice. Also, I've got an idea for a high spot in mind...

She whispered her idea to Hunter, who, by the smile and nodding his head, approved greatly.

Hunter: Awesome idea. You're free to do it. See you next week...

One week later, on Raw...

Zelina was getting the upper hand against Gionna, and had her set for the double knees in the corner, but as she ran to the corner, Gio managed to slip out of the way, and had her set for her Jersey Codebreaker, but Ashley came from nowhere to grab the foot of Gio to try and distract her.

Gionna: What the hell?

Ashley just smirked, as Zelina then went for a roll-up for two. Just then, the rest of the women involved in the Chamber match ran down to the ring and attacked Ashley. Natalya laid out Ruby, while Sarah and Asuka went for Ashley, inadvertantly also taking out Garza and Andrade. Meanwhile, as Zelina was distracted by being concerned for Andrade, Gionna took her chance and hit her Flatliner from the ropes to get the win and qualify.

Mike: Here is your winner, Liv Morgan!

As her hand was raised in victory, Asuka came in and tried to attack her with the poison mist, but Gionna ducked and connected with her Jersey Codebreaker. She had proved that she was ready, and even stared down the Raw Women's Champion, Becky Lynch herself, as The Man was on commentary, watching on. Gionna made her intentions clear by staring at the belt Becky had raised in the air, whilst everyone else involved in the Chamber match just stared at the scene going on in the ring. As everyone got backstage, Gionna saw that Ashley was giving her a death stare, which ended when Josh came from behind Ashley, and tapped her on the shoulder.

Josh: Is there a problem?

Ashley looked at Gionna, then back at Josh nervously.

Ashley: No. No problem... no problem at all...

She trailed off before leaving as Gionna came up to talk to Josh.

Josh: Well, that wasn't awkward at all...

Gionna: She's persistant, I'll give her that...

Josh: Surprising she even showed up tonight, especially since we haven't spoken since last week.

Gionna: Wow, guess she's taking it hard...

Josh: Oh well... anyway, about your match earlier... You killed it tonight! That ending with you and Becky gave me a few chills!

Gionna: Don't get me wrong, I was a little worried when everyone came running out, but I guess I was just too good for Zelina... Good luck in your match, by the way!

Josh: Thanks, I'm looking forward to it!

She gave him a hug and a quick kiss on the cheek for good luck, before heading to her locker room to watch the men's battle royal. Josh was the last competitor to make his entrance and soon, the match began. Almost immediately, No Way Jose, The Street Profits and Titus O'Neil went at it. Mojo Rawley was Josh's first elimination, and after 10 minutes and several eliminations, it came down to Josh, Cedric, Randy and Erick Rowan. After an RKO from Randy, he eliminated Rowan, and as Cedric went to take advantage to eliminate Randy, The Viper dodged it and after a snap powerslam followed by another RKO, he eliminated Alexander, but as he turned around, he was met with a superkick from Josh, and fell over the top rope, but onto the apron. Randy held on to the top rope, but not for long, as Josh then hit the Eye-Opener on Orton to eliminate him and qualify for the men's Elimination Chamber match.

Mike: Here is your winner, Josh Stevens!

He pointed to the Wrestlemania sign as the crowd cheered and he mouthed a message to the camera.

Josh: This is MY time!

He then went backstage, and the first person to congratulate him was Gionna.

Gionna: That ending with Randy though... Seriously thought he was gonna RKO you at one point! What do you call that move you used to win the match?

Josh: That's called the Eye-Opener, one of my favourite moves! I'll teach you it so you could use it at Mania or something...

Gionna: I'd love that!

As they packed up their things, they headed to Josh's car, where Gionna asked a big question.

Gionna: Listen, since you and Ash are now done, would you be open to having company tonight?

Josh: If that's you, by all means, yes!

Gionna hugged him even tighter than before, as they then got into the car and back to Josh's secondary apartment, as his primary apartment was the one he shared with Ashley. Once they arrived, Gionna immediately headed to the bathroom, while Josh made themselves drinks.

Josh: This'll be a good night!

He then got Netflix set up and Gio re-emerged from the bathroom, wearing a long shirt and very short shorts. She snuggled up to Josh on the sofa bed as he gave her a drink.

Gionna: Thanks. I missed this, you know.

Josh: Me too. It wasn't the same with Ashley. It just feels right with you.

She kissed his cheek again, before they settled down and watched a few movies, before Gio fell asleep after the second film. Josh looked down at the sleeping beauty and kissed her forehead.

Josh: Words cannot describe how lucky I am to have you back in my life, and to call you my best friend... doesn't seem like enough. But I have to wait until the time is right. Mark my words, Gionna, we will be together again... very soon.
