Chapter 2
(Edited)
It was two days since Frost met Firebreak again. She finally woke up and found herself in the medbay. She looked around.
"Ah, I see you finally woke up," Ratchet said as he walked in. He went over to her berth and scanned her. "Good, good. How do you feel?" he asked.
"I feel alright..." Ratchet nodded in reply.
Frost looked down at her peds, remembering her fight with her brother. She sighed.
"Who did this? I am curious. I know it wasn't Megatron, or else you'd be on the Nemesis instead." He said. He looked at Frost curiously.
"Firebreak did this," the femme replied.
Ratchet widened his optics. "Firebreak did this?!"
Frost looked at him. "No, I'm kidding. It was an itty-bitty mouse with a stick-OF COURSE IT WAS FIREBREAK!!"
"S-sorry, I'm just not used to this yet..." He sighed slightly. Frost nodded.
After a few minutes Optimus and Bee came in, hearing that she had waken. Bumblebee went to Frost's side and asked her how she was doing. Optimus looked to Ratchet. "How is she?" he asked.
"She is alright, though temporarily paralyzed from the waist down." Ratchet replied. Optimus nodded and looked toward Frost. Frost bit her lip and looked to the side slightly.
"Sorry I ran off..." she apologized.
Optimus nodded. "It is alright."
Trio came walking in after a bit, curious of what went on. "What happened to Frost?"
":Remember Firebreak?:" Bee asked.
"Oohh..."
":Yeah.:" He looked to Frost. ":When can she leave?:" he asked Ratchet.
"Tomorrow," the medic said. Bumblebee nodded. "Now go, all of you! She needs rest and she can't rest when everyone is in here!" he said, shooing them off. They laughed and walked out. Bee waved to Frost before walking out.
"What happened?! Who did what?!" Nightstar asked, suddenly bursting into the room. Wheeljack followed behind chuckling. Ratchet groaned in frustration.
"Night, your back!" Frost exclaimed.
Nightstar looked at her sister and grinned. "Frosty!" She went over and gave Frost a big bear hug.
"Ow- can't breathe!" Frost said.
Nightstar laughed and let go. "Sorry."
Frostbite took a deep breath and smiled. "It's alright."
"So, what happened here?" Night asked, gesturing to her sister.
"Firebr-"
"Firebreak happened?!" Nightstar shouted, widening her optics. "Why that darn, hot-helmed, stupid, dumb-headed, big brother, piece of sc-"
"Calm down, calm down." Wheeljack said, patting Night's shoulder plate. Night took a deep breath.
"Great! Now that you calmed down, you can both leave!" Ratchet shoved them out, him leaving as well.
"Oh, Ratchet..." Frost shook her helm.
"I heard that!"
Frost came out the next day in a wheelchair, Ratchet pushing her along. Bumblebee looked up and smiled. ":Hey Frost.:"
"Hey Bee!" Frost said cheerfully. Ratchet moved aside so Bee could take his place.
"Now before you head off," Ratchet started. "You must remember. Two check ups each day, no harsh movements, no standing unless I say, n-"
"I got it, I got it." Frost said. She smiled at him. Ratchet shook his helm.
"Be careful," the medic said before walking off. Frost and Bee laughed for a moment.
"Let's see if I can do it." She said. Be nodded. He pushed her down the hall and into her room. He pulled her in front of her desk and pulled up a chair next to her.
":So, how is the sky fallin',:" Bee asked.
"It's been fallin' pretty well." Frost replied. The two laughed slightly. Frost then held her servo to her mouth and made a static sound. "Sir, we have a problem."
":What is it?:" Be asked, doing the same.
"The tiny humans keep running around screaming."
":Make if fall harder, they must be screaming for more.:"
"Got it." She pretended to press a button. "The sky is falling harder, but I don't think it worked. They are turning into liquid."
":These humans are not worthy to die.:" Bumblebee said. ":We must destroy their planet.:"
Frost pretended to push another button, then Bee imitated an explosion. "Planet destroyed."
":Well done.:" The two paused for a good five minutes, then they burst out into laughter.
Frost grabbed a data pad after she caught her breath. She began drawing shapes and patterns. Bumblebee watched curiously, wondering what she was drawing. After a moment he was able to make it out. He smiled slightly. It was of him and Frost. Frost in her human form, and him in his holoform. After a bit she finished the picture, adding color and shading to it. She presented it to Bee, and he gave a thumbs up. ":I love it! But tell me, how do you draw so well?:"
Frost laughed. "I'm not that good, am I? I can't even draw hands or eyes without having trouble," she said. Bumblebee shook his helm.
":You are a lot better than you think, Frosty.:"
She smiled and pressed a few things on her data pad, changed the screen a few times, then smiled up at him. "Sent!"
":Sweet!:"
After a while Bee looked back at her. ":Dad wants me. See you later?:" he asked. Frost smiled and nodded. He kissed her cheekplate before leaving. Frost took a moment to print the picture she drew. She took the picture from her printer and put it in her chest. Her box chest was where she kept all her favorite memories. She locked it up and smiled to herself, carefully pushing it back under her berth. She moved her wheelchair back to her desk and pulled out a project of hers that she had been working on. She began humming the tune of her favorite song as she worked. As soon as she finished it, she fell right to sleep on her desk.
Bee returned not long later and smiled. He gently took her from her wheelchair and laid her on the berth. He watched her for a moment and kissed her helm. ":Good night, Frosty. Recharge well.:"
He glanced at her desk before leaving. He paused and picked up the object from on the desk. It was a clay replica of Cybertron, back when it was thriving with life before the war. He looked at the bottom and smiled seeing writing on it.
Here is something to remember home by...
I love you Bee, Happy Creation-day.
~Frost
He smiled softly, setting the sculpture on his shelf on the other side of the room. His Creation-day was soon. It was in three days. He would be turning 25. ":Love you too, Frosty.:" he said. He kissed her head again and walked out.
He came out of the room pushing Frost along the next day. They got their energon, did the first check up, and laughed as they talked. Bee led her through the halls pretending to be a tour guide. ":...And over there we have a room full of weird, strange alien thingies. Cans, ball, and many odd shaped thingamajigs.:" Frost and Bee chuckled.
"Your hilarious. Bee." Frost said.
":Not as much as you are.:" Bee replied.
Frost giggled. "Why do you look pink?"
":Why do you look green?!:"
Frost laughed, "Why is the sky grey??"
":Why is the moon black???:"
"Wait, does that mean we can't see it at night?" Frost asked.
Bumblebee gasped. ":THE MOON IS INVISIBLE!!:"
They enjoyed their time, laughing and playing. They soon got back to the main hanger. Bumblebee stopped seeing Ratchet and Optimus talk. ":Something up?:"
Ratchet turned to him. "Decepticons are nearing Jasper again."
":Well let's go then!:"
Ratchet opened his mouth to speak but Optimus interrupted him. "I want Bumblebee to come along. You are to watch Frost."
"But my invention!" Ratchet complained.
"Stay here." Optimus said sternly. Ratchet groaned. He opened the bridge muttering to himself. "Autobots, roll out!"
They left the base, transforming and driving through the bridge. Frost suddenly perked up from where she was at. "I JUST GOT AN IDEA!"
