TRANSFER STYLE
*WILL NOT BE USED IN FINAL GRADE*
This will be a page on Transferring an image COMPLETELY onto a piece of paper, shading and all.
Again, your page will follow a similar set up. Studying a style, how you did it, a reference, an artist piece, and your art work.
However, as you can see my reference image has changed, they're now shells which were provided by my art tutor.
As you can see on the right that's my reference image and on the left it's my art. This one is where I added shading and detail. (I will explain how I did this in a few paragraphs time.)
The reference image is on the left, and mine is on the right. And yes, I stuck my art work upside down, you don't need to tell me.
As you can see my artwork is a bit different then the first one, this is a technique called the 'continuous line'.
What is a Continuous Line?
The best way to answer this is to first answer what art technique this is.
What is 'Transfer'?
First you get an image. Then you spread ink on the back of the image.
Then you stick it onto either a thick piece of paper, or a thin sheet of paper. You use a pencil and go over the lines, depending on how hard or light you press the pencil, depends on how dark the lines will be.
Here is how my piece turned out, ignore the pieces of paper and white paint on this piece, I'll explain what I did to this in a later chapter.
Now, back to continuous lines. What is it?
You do the same as you would above, but instead of adding detail you make it simplistic and you don't lift the pencil off the paper, you have to go over lines and create lines that aren't there to go from one place to another.
I'll explain why the piece above is different in the next chapter.
