Thanksgiving was a peculiar thing to the autobots— celebrating the conquering (or so called "friendship" with) of the Native Americans. Of course, Jack was quick to explain the development of the tradition of the centuries and what it has become now. This tradition was much better than celebrating tyranny.

It was a day of thanks, and after spending a plethora of months with their new friends, there could be a list longer than a CVS receipt listing the ways they're thankful. Though, there was more to this strange holiday: feasts and a dark Friday? After some further digging they found it was just a day for extreme sales and shopping.

And now, we find ourselves at the autobot base, June and (Y/n) cooking while some of the others watched and/or helped with preparations. There was now a new side to the women the bots had never seen before— in other words, both of them were getting super snappy at anyone who came their way.

The two were quite synchronized in their work and were most likely to turn around and snap at Smokescreen when he kept annoying them about when it was going to be ready. Human food was a rarity for them after all. Though it also wasn't entirely good for them to eat. Sure, their systems could have roughly 8 servings, but anymore could cause some problems. Their bodies were really only meant for energon after all.

Of course, it wasn't only Smokescreen to bother the women. Optimus seemed to stop by every 30 minutes wanting to help. No one in the right mind would snap at Optimus, though they were getting tired of him dropping by every so often. Besides, the only help they really needed was keeping everyone distracted.

About an hour later, the food was either still cooking or done and packed away. Now it was game time while they played the parade (and later the puppy sports) in the background. They all gathered around the couch, Ratchet and Ultra Magnus the usual downers and standing off to the side working. Optimus tended to pop in and out depending on the game.

"You two should join us for at least one round!" (Y/n) begged the two bots for probably the 7th time. Neither made a single movement to join, however.

"You made us indulge in this childishness once on this "Halloween", why must we play games? They're for sparklings." Ultra Magnus challenged the woman, clearly annoyed. (Y/n) rolled her eyes, if there was one thing Ultra Magnus has yet to learn, it was that (Y/n) didn't go down without a fight.

"Games are not for just sparklings, they're both a thing of entertainment and a chance to learn and boost skills." She replied with a scoff, that made Ultra Magnus feel offended, considering it was one of those scoffs like "everyone knows that".

"And how is this "Uno" educational or skill developing?" He challenged once more, taking a few steps closer to (Y/n).

"Well, that's simple, a skill you develop in it is reaction time and you learn to think strategically to not only get to having zero cards, but how to make others have a difficult time losing all their cards." She replied.

"And why would I need to know that?"

"Well you already use those skills don't you? Or perhaps you're saying you lack those qualities and maybe you are not as great as a commander as you let on to be..."

"Oooooooooo! She got you there!" Wheeljack shouted at the commander with a laugh. (Y/n) just smirked up at the commander cockily. Ultra Magnus glared down at the woman before releasing a sigh.

"If you insist." Ultra Magnus announces, finally giving in. (Y/n) smiled proudly as Ultra Magnus summoned his holoform and Optimus served him his cards, telling him that he was a wonderful commander and that (Y/n) was just trying to get under his mesh.

The woman rolled her eyes at Optimus' comment, despite it being true. Of course, they had already had more than enough players, but (Y/n) did promise Miko that she'd get everyone to play.

"Ratchet?"

"No."

"Ratchet~."

"No."

"Please?"

"Not happening."

"Pretty please?"

"Adding "pretty" in front of the "please" does not change my answer."

"Don't make me count to 3."

"(Y/n) I'm not—"

"One."

"I'm not a sparkl—"

"Two."

"ing."

"Th—"

"Fine. If you truly need 14 players in this game, then I will join you!"

"Yay!"

Ratchet finally decided to join their group, sitting on the ground next to (Y/n), grumbling as Optimus handing him his cards. (Y/n) swore she heard him mumble "stupid 3."

Finally, dinner was served and everyone was sitting at a large table Fowler had bought for the base. Optimus and Fowler sitting opposite of one another at the ends, June to the left of Fowler, Ratchet to the right of Optimus. To Fowler's right sat Bulkhead and to Optimus' left sat Ultra Magnus. Each bot sat beside their respective human, filling out the rest of the chairs.

"When do we share our thanks?" Optimus asked, his stoic voice somehow traveling to everyone without raising it much.

"Now, actually." June replied, smiling. Optimus nodded— and to just about no ones surprise, gave a long speech about his appreciation for Fowler, the government, their human allies, their friends (or better yet, family), and ended it with thanks to Primus. Next was Ultra Magnus, who briefly stated that he shared Optimus' thanks.

"Well I guess if we're going down the table, I'm thankful that Magnus here hasn't yelled at me more than 3 times today." Wheeljack chuckled, earning a short laugh or snicker from few and a glare from Bulkhead, who had been hoping for something better than that. "Fine fine, I'm thankful that we got the wreckers back together, as well as a new member."

"I'm thankful for Alpha Trion for sending me to earth." Smokescreen piped up quickly after. Bee then beeped something which Raf roughly translated (and agreed to) being here with everyone as a family. Finally there was June.

"I'm thankful that Jack found Arcee, which in turn got me here." June then turned to Fowler.

"I'm thankful that I got to be your liaisons for the government." Fowler said, though he was more thankful that somehow these giant aliens were more careful and less endangering of human life in their own war than as humans would be if they were fighting the Decepticons.

"I'm thankful for the new family we've made here on earth. Would've never expected it." Bulkhead said after, patting Miko's shoulder. She smiled brightly.

"I'm happy that I decided to move down here, or I never would've met you all!" She laughed as Bulkhead ruffled her hair.

"I'm thankful I found Arcee." Jack said, looking at Arcee who returned his gaze with a small grin.

"I'm thankful Jack came back after leaving us." She nodded before looking to (Y/n) who sat beside Ratchet.

"I'm thankful for Megatron. Without him having me kidnapped, I never would've met any of you." (Y/n) said with a gentle smile, though there were a lot more factors that could of caused her to not be here today, such as, if she never met June she wouldn't be here today.

"Can't say I'm thankful for everything that's going on or think positive about the negative, but I am thankful for everyone here for making this war more meaningful to fight in." Ratchet said, sounding slightly flustered about saying it.

Soon everyone ate and talked, just enjoying their time together. Things could never be better than just everyone sitting here together and enjoying each other. Beneath the table Ratchet and (Y/n) held hands and on a napkin was scribbled Ratchet's thanks for her being there with him as a lover and a friend.
