Turners vs Night Round One!

Dawn chuckled as she and Paul went against the brothers. Qidorr went against Iris, in which the duo were hoping he would be ok. The two brothers didn't last long as the duo did a quick sweep.

"LEAF TORNADO!"

"WHIRLPOOL!"

They forgot to bring fire power to deal with the strength that Torterra brought back. Paul had a smile of relief that crossed his face as they tore the brothers apart. A yelp filled the air as Qidorr almost got killed. His face was pale as he got out of the way of her Haxorus. A small pokemon was in his arms, indicating it was down and he hadn't swapped out. Paul sighed as he opened his mouth to aid him. Another voice did it for him.

"FLAMETHROWER!"

The attack roared above Qidorr and pushed the angry dragon back. The group turned as a particular redhead entered the field. The two brothers froze.

"Chili?!" Their triplet glanced briefly before turning to the champion, who raised an eyebrow.

"I didn't think you had the courage to do that, Chili." He huffed as a Darumaka got in front of him.

"Depends on who you're with." She paused as he shouted to Qidorr. "My fight! Go!" Qidorr didn't hesitate to get out of the way and to the duo Night League members. Paul quickly embraced the brunette as Chilli huffed again. "I'm your opponent, Iris. Let's see who really stands!"

~~~
Red and Ash had words for the others if they weren't against their own opponents. Brock was hardly a challenge for Ash as he held the upper hand.
"WATER SHURIKEN!"
Steelix, despite being megaed and had a sturdy defense, went down with no problem. Ash finally sighed with relief.
"Thank Arceus! I finally hit it!" The silent champion raised an eyebrow as the other laughed. Brock huffed as they all turned to the final battle.
"Hey, uh... are you guys going to do something?" Red pointed at the younger gym leader, causing panic to cross his face.
"Eh?! I ain't throwing anything!" Red raised an eyebrow as he glanced at the bystanders. He seemed to be enjoying the wait.
"I'm giving you two seconds before I tear your team apart." The Alola League members gasped as Red turned to Yellow. He did a 'I'm watching you' motion before turning to the gym leader. The kid gulped.
"FLAMETHROWER!"
The flames roared to life as they slammed into the water type. He gulped, knowing the bad choice. Red hummed as he smiled. His mouth moved slightly before he nodded to the Blastoise. Without any sound hitting the air, it fired a HYDRO PUMP at the Arcanine and put it down with ease. The gym leaders stared at the result as the younger boy gulped. Ash hummed as Red went over. Unlike the others who had kept away as glares hit the air, he held out a hand as an extremely soft voice filled the boy's ears that the others didn't seem to hear.
"Lot of confidence using fire against water. Especially with a champion as your opponent. I'm impressed that you took up the opportunity to take the 7th gym. I hope that our next fight is a little more formal to see you truly take your position." The kid looked up at the red eyed champion with a flash in his eye. A nod followed as the champion turned to Ash and nodded. Brock seemed pissed though.
"Where'd that come from!?" Red hummed as Ash sighed.
"Would you rather see Red and Yellow fight? I'm sure they'll-" Red held up a hand to the arguing duo. Clearly he wasn't interested in fighting her. He smiled at the younger leader before turning to Ash with a nod. A smile crossed the Alola Champion as he turned to Brock. "Or we could go the alternate route."
"Alternate route?" He smiled at Erika, who looked lost.
"Someone has thrown a real challenge down. 1 on 6, right?" Red nodded, making Max lose it.
"No way am I staying here for this-" He froze as Yellow's eyes flashed. "Actually... I'm going to go get comfortable..." Red turned to the gym leaders as Brock hissed.
"Why won't you fight, weakling?" Ash hummed.
"One, I'm not the one that called the challenge. Two, not all battles are mine. Sometimes you have to let others have the spotlight." He nodded at Red, who pulled out the rest of his pokeballs with a soft smile.
"Oh, so you're going to have your weak friend have it?" Yellow gulped. It was interesting hearing the powerful girl of the nearby forest show fear.
"Weak? It took me an hour to finally get that victory! What do you mean?!" Max chuckled.
"Brock, this kid's already kicked your butt. Are you sure you want to keep those insults going?" Brock raised an eyebrow.
"He is with you weaklings." Max glanced at Ash.
"He does realize that he lost right?"
"Apparently not." Yellow hummed.
"Well we're not letting you into the center to heal and I'm not doing any healing, so pick your fights wisely since your signatures are down."
Erika gulped as she and the other leaders pulled out revives. Brock growled at her. He clearly didn't see the threat these guys put down. She huffed.
"You can growl all you want, but I bet if we stepped into the forest, I can tear your team apart and show every weak point your team has. So the person that calls me a weakling gets to be buried in the Pokemon Tower."
The Night League members backed away at her words. The others stared at her for a moment. Fear was written across the field as she sighed. She blinked.
"What?" Ash gulped.
"Keep your murderous intentions in the forest. We want peace here." She huffed lightly as Red threw out the rest of his team. A Charizard, Venusaur, Snorlax, Pikachu, and Lapras appeared. The group paused at the sight. Red smiled lightly as their pokemon returned to the field. Max sighed as the others joined him at his position.
"1 on 6, full team on single pokemon. Let the battle begin!"
Kellyn had a steady grin on his face as they were able to take down the rivals. One stayed in the back as they gulped.
"You know what, I'm not playing this game." He stepped forward as Barry panicked.
"Tobias, we can handle-" Darkrai popped out of his pokeball, silencing the blonde rival. The group backed away instantly as Kellyn paused.
"Wow... you actually got it in a pokeball. Piece of..." Kellyn huffed as he looked at Tobias. "Is that supposed to be threatening?" The groups looked at him with sheer fear while Keith was busting out laughing.
"Yes it is. Tell us where Ash is and it won't tear you apart." Kellyn paused.
"Oh really? Go ahead. Tear me apart." Darkrai hesitated. "See? It won't do it. You better bring out a real threat if you want to tear me apart. Most legendaries and mythicals trust a ranger over a trainer. So send Darkrai to tear me down. You'll look like a moron." Tobias hissed.
"Darkrai! Finish him off!" The nightmare pokemon froze as Kellyn paused. It felt like time stopped until Tobias turned to it. "I said finish him off!" Kellyn broke his composure as he busted out laughing. "Hush!"
"This is adorable..." Keith pulled himself together and called out.
"What about me, the guy you threw in a pit of darkness?"
Darkrai stayed frozen, causing the whole group to bust out laughing. It was even funnier seeing the distress on the rival's face. He growled as he sent out his Latios. However, he didn't get any farther with it as Ben stepped forward and it paused. Kellyn fistbumped the smaller ranger as they stepped forward, making the two pokemon back away. Tobias stayed quiet at this.
"Aw... what's the matter? Have nothing to throw at us?" He sorta choked on his words as Kellyn smiled. "Or is the shock too much? Let me help you out..." His styler flashed to life as he and Ben raced forward. With maybe three swift motions, the two pokemon were encased in a soft light. Ben's Pichu appeared on his shoulder and sent a shock at the rivals. Latios got back in front of them, indicating that Ben wasn't successful with the capture. But a soft hum appeared behind Kellyn, telling him his achievement. Kellyn smiled. "Let's do this, partner.
Iris had no words as her team went down. Chili had a soft smile of relief as he high fived the Growlithe he had out. Yeah, he was working on getting his team bigger. He had two teams, one for the gym which was clear to the world what his team was, and the second was for the Aiding Auras, which was mostly fires since that was what he claimed. It was almost there from what the others said. Paul smiled at the result.
"Nice, Chili!" He nodded as Paul gave the shaking Qidorr to Dawn and joined him. They quickly fistbumped as Paul turned to the trio. "This is our battlefield now!" She huffed as she quickly healed her team.
"We'll see about that!" Chili huffed.
"Iris, this isn't just the power of a few people that got mad. This is the power of the one and only Night League! Don't fight something you can't win against!" She glanced at the other two as they joined her. Dawn glanced at the duo.
"Bet we can't win, Chili. Don't fight with the enemy!" Chili raised an eyebrow.
"And lose? I think not. I'm not truly fighting with the enemy. Figure it out." He glanced at Paul. "You still owe me that fight."
"Yeah yeah yeah. We'll do it later, ok?" Chili nodded as they got into a battle stance.
~~~

It took maybe two minutes to tear them down. Red huffed and instantly Brock, Erika and LT Surge were taken out of the fight after Charizard, Lapras and Snorlax took their pokemon out. Sabrina and Janine stood no chance against his Pikachu and Venusaur. The boy did do some damage that shocked the group before he went down a second time to the champion.

"FLAMETHROWER!"

The flames roared as they tore Venusaur, Snorlax and Lapras down. Red blinked before Pikachu and Blastoise finished the Arcanine off. The shock made the silent champion paused before a smile crossed his face. He went over and shook the small boy's hand. The soft, one-person's ears only voice reappeared.

"You are the first person to get that far on my team. Nice job." The boy smiled at his words. But they still confused him. What rank was he that makes it so surprising? Red turned to the others with a huff. Apparently he wasn't surprised by their results. He still shook their hand, but unlike him, he didn't say a word. Max hummed. He eyed the remainder of Red's team before calling out to the silent champion.

"For someone who has sat on a mountain for a good portion of his life, this is almost hilarious." Red scoffed at his words. "I'm serious when I say this, but I think the younger generations are going to tear you off your throne." Red stuck his tongue out at him as he returned his team. Yellow huffed.

"I take it you're not going to fight me today?" Red shook his head, getting a hiss from the blonde. Serena and Delia giggled as Ash sighed.

"Max, can you keep them apart? That will be annoying later..." Max nodded as he went over and pushed Yellow towards the forest entrance.

"Why don't you go do your job? We have things to... discuss... league members only." Yellow glared at him before heading off. Max sighed as he went back over. "Now that the mass murderer is gone, let's talk." Ash nodded as they went off to the side.

"So back to what you were saying, Red, about the league here needing help... what do you mean exactly?" Red pulled out a notebook and showed them what he had written down. "So there are shaky gym leader spots... an elite four and base grounds... you're just going to use the mountain, aren't you?" Red nodded as they paused. The boy gulped as the other glanced at him.

"Why don't you ask them since you got the favor right now?" He nodded as he went over and paused. It seemed weird that him, a temporary gym leader, was more favored than the actual ones. He cleared his throat as the silence filled the air. They turned to him.

"What are you guys hiding?" The group looked at Red, who shot a glare at Ash before turning to the boy. Ash looked away as the voice appeared once more.

"I'll tell you later. We are working something out right now." Red then pushed the raven haired boy into Serena, receiving a yelp back. The boy sighed as he returned. He shook his head at the others as he glanced back at the group. He huffed lightly as he tried to think about his words. They were talking about the league, but why? What was wrong with the league that it needed help? It confused him.

"They won't tell me right now."

~~~
It took Kellyn about a minute and a half to make his statement clear. The group was able to finish up their task while Tobias thought about their words from before. They were able to scare Darkrai and Latios into not attacking. No... scared wasn't the right word to use. More like gently asked in a unique way. He glanced at Darkrai, who had gone quiet from the fight. It eyed Kellyn as he moved around the group. The other rivals had either gone home or gotten food.
"Darkrai..." It glanced at its trainer. "What happened that I'm not aware of?"
The mythical looked away as Kellyn and Keith got pushed into each other. Kate giggled before the redhead raced after her. Kellyn sat down with a bright red face. The ghost type hummed as a dark orb appeared in its hand and it passed it to him. He glanced at it as a scene appeared. He didn't recognize much of it, but he saw Kate at least once on a Staraptor before disappearing into the sky. Keith was there for a while before he was thrown away and into a dark pit. Kellyn, or a blur of brown and red for a brief moment raced in and grabbed something from the redhead before landing on the ground in front of Darkrai as he panted. He clipped on a styler, no doubt what he took from Keith, and prepared an attack. A Mime Jr., Turtwig and Starly appeared behind him as he charged up the styler's attack. He gulped as five lights touched the styler ring and sent it off. He raced forward while the three pokemon sent their attacks at the ghost type. It was incredible how fast Kellyn quickly took it down. He was out of breath as something circled him. The image faded before he could find out what it was. He glanced at Darkrai and noticed pain in its eyes as the orb vanished. It clearly didn't want to show what happened after that. Kellyn threw a hiss from his spot as Kate taunted the duo. Tobias hummed.
"So something with those three happened that makes it hard to fight them?" Darkrai nodded as Kellyn playfully pushed Kate away. "Interesting..."
~~~

Iris was known for seeing the impossible, but what she witnessed made her breath stop briefly. Paul and Chili, with little struggle, tore the trio down. They high fived as Dawn went over with a shaking Qidorr. Chili brought him into a hug as he talked to the duo about his team. Most of the things were seen: stability, bigger forms, sync, etc. Iris noticed that Paul was constantly avoiding using the words 'stronger' and 'weak'. He never called Chili's team weak once or said it had to get stronger. He only said that his Vulpix, which was Chili's only fainted pokemon, needed to get a little stronger or better in defense to take hits easier. It was shocking to not hear some of his normal conversational words not come out of him.

"I think... Besides Vulpix, Magby and Litwick need the most work. The others are pretty much the best for right now." Chili nodded as he pulled away from Qidorr.

"Paul, I would look at Torterra's attack stat a little bit. I don't know if it was tired or what happened, but it was depending on my attack power a little bit there." Paul nodded as he glanced at Qidorr. "If you want, you can stop by later and we can get a little bit of fire training for you." Qidorr smiled.

"Thanks Chili..." Dawn hummed as Chili nodded.

"We should get going. Remember, we have that meetup on results later. We have to sort out the struggles and get them worked out." Paul nodded.

"Tell the other Auras we said hi and don't get yourself killed by your brothers." Chili scoffed.

"I already have enough on my plate. I don't need brother death added. That's too much for my little plate." Paul busted out laughing as Dawn sighed.

"Get your cheesy restaurant jokes out of here."

"They're as cheesy as they're going to get. Besides.... They're fresh from the oven!" The other two joined Paul as Chili started walking away. "Take care of yourselves." They nodded before taking off. Iris glanced at the other two.

"Auras?"

~~~
The group cheered as they finished the task. Kellyn smiled.
"Alright! Let's get back to base, put out any problems from today's mission and go from there. Dismissed!" The group split up as Kellyn sat down. Lunick, Ben and Keith went over.
"Kellyn?" Keith asked quietly.
"No."
"Huh?"
"No... I'm not ok... I need to rest when we get back. I already felt the surge." Lunick picked him up.
"You did great, though. I'm sure the others will be proud." Kellyn smiled as he drifted off. Keith grabbed a Staraptor and they took off. Tobias hummed as they vanished.
"I'll wait..."
~~~

Ash smiled as they cleaned up.

"Ok... so you want us to be here when you work on getting those spots filled?" Red nodded. "Ok... I'll make sure I'm open for that. Just send me a message." Red nodded again. "Meanwhile we have a meeting to attend to. Red, we'll see you and Yellow there."

The silent champion smiled as quad took off. Brock's low growl hit the air as Red hummed. The voice reappeared as he turned to the group of gym leaders. The boy paused as the others blinked.

"You act like you have an appointment with the devil. You should be grateful for what they are doing. They are working to make Kanto and the other regions better than they are now. I'm not saying this is a bad region, but the errors are too much to handle. And the fact that you insult league level trainers is embarrassing. Be careful with what you say before it hits you down." He hit a button on his phone as he hummed. "Or maybe it's because you know the truth, but hate how it hurts. You can't keep it back forever. Eventually the light will show the real threat and you can't stop it unless you join the right side. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a meeting to attend to." Yellow appeared from behind a tree as Charizard roared. The duo took off as The boy paused.

"Wait..."

I hope you guys like that. Our first threat will appear soon. Remember, "Hidden Secrets" requests give this book a reason to keep going. Have a great day!
