Night's Full Form.

Few months later...

Ash smiled as the league met up.

"We ready?"

"Yep. Let's do this."

~~~
Several leagues were coming to meet the Alola League. So it was time to show them what Alola had to share.
~~~

"Do we have to?"

"Iris."

She sighed. They were traveling to Alola with the other leagues to meet the Alola League. However, she wasn't impressed with the plan.

"What if it's a bunch of weaklings?"

"Says the weakest champion in the world."

"Excuse me!?"

Lance had kept her at bay with that. Even though he was just stronger than her and Steven (Cynthia and Red kept him from claiming the #1 spot and don't get him started on Diantha), he still held the line against her.

"You're not that much stronger than me!"

"Well, when Steven takes my challenge, I'll let you know." The Hoenn champion didn't even turn to them, gaining a hiss. "That's supposed to be your line, sir." Again, dead silence as Steven kept his gaze on the ocean in front of them. Lance frowned before turning to Iris. "Until metal head takes the challenge, we'll never know how much stronger I am than you. Steven could be between the two of us or even be the weakest." Steven finally spoke.

"I beat Iris last week."

"So when's my fight?" Silence followed his words before Cynthia chuckled.

"Lance, what did you do to make Steven mad?"

"Steven's not-" Lance stopped himself as he studied the Hoenn Champion. He then tried a different approach. "Steven, are you mad at me?" Not hearing an answer made him gulp before turning to Iris. "We will determine this later." She hissed at her fellow dragon ally before Red stood up to join Steven. The others paused before seeing the islands coming into view.

~~~
Iris hummed as they arrived at the Professor's lab, as that was where the League was meeting them. Kukui kept the champions busy before a voice got his attention.
"That Rockruff better not attack us, Kukui!" He paused as a group of 7 slipped in. The Rockruff in question was currently working on getting Kukui's shoe off to be destroyed.
"All's good. He's focused on me." They chuckled before he paused. "The other's gonna start trickling in?"
"The 8 kids are almost here, the one kid got caught up in something when he was with us, and the league will be here after they see how far the current challenger goes." Kukui smiled before a frown took over from Rockruff's success at getting the shoe.
"Well excuse me. Do you want the other one too?" Cynthia chuckled as the small pokemon went over to the corner in triumph before whipping the shoe around like a tornado. Lance then spoke to the league members that had entered.
"Well... while we wait-" The door opened to a rather familiar purple haired boy as he held the door open for 8 others.
"Sorry about that. Lillie was bringing down the mountain." Kukui's eyes widened as the others stared at the blonde female as she backlashed against the blue haired female's comment.
"I did not bring the mountain down. I just sent some Ultra Beasts home. There's a difference."
"It was snowing Lillie. I think you did both. But ok girl. Whatever won't make you tear down the whole region." Lillie, who was the blonde, scoffed as Iris scanned over the newcomers. Seeing Purple made her growl internally, however he was rather pale as he sat down.
"I thought I broke you two up. Be quiet."
"Never, little boy. Never." Purple didn't respond as he rested. Then he smiled at the champions that were scanning the newcomers.
"Oh... the champions! Hello!" Iris let a soft growl out as he shakily got to his feet. "I don't suppose we missed introductions, did we?" Lance smiled.
"We were just about to when you guys entered." Purple smiled as he steadied his shaking legs. Kukui then spoke.
"Well, since it sounds like the big five will be late for this-" A faint noise came from somewhere, getting the others to giggle. "Yep. They'll be late." He then smiled at the champions. "These are the members of the Alola League. Hala, Olivia, Nanu and Hapu are the Kahunas and help organize the Island Challenge. Then Lana, Mallow, Kiawe, Sophocles, Acerola, Mina, Lillie and Gladion are the Nā alakaʻi and run the Skill Challenges. Guzma, Lusamine and Qidorr are the ʻŌlelo ʻŌlelo and run the Oracle Challenges." Each member waved upon their name being said. He then pulled Purple into a practical headlock, which didn't go unfazed by the smaller boy as he started squirming. "Lastly, Purple here and I run the entrance sorta exams and Tournaments." Purple frowned.
"Kukui, if you would be so kind to let me go so I don't have to stab you later, I would-" He wasn't able to finish before Kukui released him, causing his escape attempt to assist in him stumbling backwards. Gladion managed to grab him before he damaged himself. Despite the glare that followed, the professor continued.
"Lovely league, we have Red; champion of Kanto, Lance; champion of Johto, Steven; champion of Hoenn, Cynthia; champion of Sinnoh, Iris; champion of Unova, and Diantha; champion of Kalos, here with us today." Iris and Purple locked eyes as he got back to his feet. Lillie then paused.
"The 5 are on their way now. They just finished up." Lusamine paused.
"How far?"
"They hit 2 and dropped." Soft chuckles followed as she paused. "If we're done, we have challengers waiting at stations." Kukui smiled.
"I'll make sure the 5 know you guys were here. Go take on those challengers." They nodded before filing out, several remarks were made. Purple hummed as he sat down.
"I should stay here and be ready for the trio argument."
"Or go outside and wait for it." Purple paused before going outside. Kukui then grinned. "Sorry about that." Cynthia chuckled.
"No need. This is a fairly new league. So people want to try it out." Kukui smiled as Purple's voice collided with another set of shouts. Lance chuckled.
"I guess that's the trio argument." The door opened as Serena, Max and Delia in a heated argument while Ash, Paul and Purple followed, holding their ears. While the quiet trio moved to sit on the ground near the champions, the trio went off to the side where their argument continued. Diantha was the one to ask the question.
"What's got that going?"
"To sum it up, they're arguing over who would be better in the first slot of the Elite Four. Personally, I'm not putting my thoughts in because then I might pull myself in." Paul was still holding his ears before Purple called out to the trio.
"Lillie brought the mountain down!" The trio looked over at him with concerning looks. "So unless you want to be next, get over here!" They silently joined them as Paul mumbled thanks to the smaller boy. Kukui, giving them time to get themselves situated, smiled.
"We're all here!"
"Who'd you kill?" Purple giggled at the 5 voiced-question at the professor. He chuckled before turning to the champions.
"These are the Alola League's Elite Four; Delia, Paul, Max, and Serena, and the Champion, Ash. And I would hope the 5 of you know the visiting Champions." Almost like he was trying to show that she was indeed in enemy territory, Paul spoke.
"I know 5 of them. Who's the kid?" Ash slapped a hand over his mouth as Iris hissed.
"Excuse me-"
"Quiet down, Pipe Bomb." Watching Ash add a second hand to hold his mouth was fantastic. He really wasn't going to let Paul and Lance take him down. Serena chuckled before Ash pulled himself together.
"Right! So-" Red had this look that Iris couldn't identify as they talked about leagues.
~~~

Iris was quiet as they watched the challengers. According to Purple, the league followed a somewhat formulated route: you start with the Island Challenges (pokemon led trials then get tested by the Kahunas before you could continue), then you went to do the Skill Challenges, followed by the Oracle Challenges. Then you could go challenge the mountain (either do tournaments or the actual league). There was no big order you had to do the trials or other challenges. But the Grand Trials and overall challenges had to be done in a certain order. Cynthia finally spoke.

"So The Island Challenge is the same, Skill Challenge is more culture and such, Oracle is more about alliances and League is more for the battles. Right?" Purple nodded as the challengers finished up, some wins and some losses. Lillie's voice filled the air, grabbing people's attention.

"WE GOT ANOTHER!" Ash hummed as he went to go group up with the others. Serena smiled.

"We've got a lot of work to do." Lance smiled.

"Well, remind Ash about the thing. We'll see you guys later."
