John and the Fairy godmother got back to their world and John just stood there. The Fairy Godmother could tell he was very mad.
"John, I am sorry. But this is the world you belong in."
"Mother, I loved Charlotte. I will never forgive you from taking me away from her. I will find a way back." John ran to the unicorn meadows and mounted one and they rode off to the Charming Kingdom. The Fairy Godmother sat on the steps and cried. She hated it when John got angry at her. She didn't want to take him from Charlotte, but f she had left him in the Otherworld she probably would never see him again. The time change was extremely different than the Fairytale worlds. They spent 3 months there and only a few hours had past in the Fairytale world. If John had stayed with Charlotte she definitely wouldn't see him again. She didn't want that to happen, he was the only piece of family she had left.
John rode all the way to the Charming Kingdom. John was so desperate to get back to the Otherworld he asked everyone he saw if any of them knew how to get to another world. They thought he was crazy. He gave up not wanting to be laughed at anymore and rode back to his house, where he found his neighbor tending to her flowers. Trixy was her name, and they had known each other for a long time. She was a lonely old widow, her husband had passed away long ago, and vowed she would never marry another.
"Hello John. Where were you today?" She asked.
"I was with my mother today. We went to another world, a world filled with technology and science. It was amazing."
"Of course dear. Of course you did." She said not believing him.
"You don't believe me do you?"
"How can I John. Other Worlds don't exist. It's a crazy and scary thought."
"Why is it a scary thought? This world was nothing but amazing. They had no magic, they did everything themselves. No fairies, no magic wands. I would give anything to go back. Do you know anyone that could help me?"
"I think you should try the Traveling Tradesmen." Trixy said.
"The Tradesmen. The one that supposedly gave Jack those magic beans?"
"Yes, he's been mostly everywhere. If anyone knows anything about this Other World you speak of, it might be him."
"How do I even find him?" John asked.
"Try the tavern. Those loons might know. It takes one to know one." Trixy said and went back to her flowers.
"I'll try. Thanks Trixy."
"Your welcome John. Good luck." She said. John road all the way to the Charming Kingdom tavern and walked in and sat at the bar between two farmers.
"Hello men. Do you mind if I buy you some drinks?" John asked them.
"Of course stranger." One farmer said. John bought them all rounds of drinks and him and the farmers talked about their childhood and funny stories for most of the night. John finally got up the courage to ask them about the tradesmen.
"The tradesman? The traveling tradesman? That maniac? What would you want with him?" The farmer asked.
"I just need to ask him some questions." John said. "So do you know where he would be?"
"Try the forest near the Northern Kingdom. Last I heard he was doing business there." The other farmer said.
"Thank you gentlemen. It was nice meeting you." John said and walked out of the tavern and got back on his Unicorn. He rode off to the Northern Kingdom, and searched everywhere. He was about to give up when he saw a cart sitting there in the middle of the woods. He looked around to see if anyone was there.
"Hey what are you doing?" A voice said form behind him. John turned around and saw an old man with rugged clothes walking towards him.
"Are you the traveling tradesman?"
"Yes, that's what people call me."
"Oh great. I wanted to ask you something." John said and got off the unicorn. "I went to another world, and I need to get back there. Do you have anyway?"
"Another world huh. Well I've never been to another world." The tradesman said. "But I think I know something that might help you."
"What is it?"
"It's a spell. It's called the Wishing Spell. If you collect all the right ingredients, rumor says that they will grant any wish."
"Oh thank you. Thank you!" John said and shook the tradesman hand. "Are you sure it's going to work?"
"How desperate are you?"
"Very."
"Then I say it's worth taking the risk." The tradesman said.
"Do you have the ingredients?"
"No, I don't. But I know someone who does." He said.
"Who?"
"Her name is Hagatha. She lives in the Dwarf forest. Once you hit the edge of the forest you just take a path west and you'll come across her hut."
"Thank you so much sir." John said. He got back on his unicorn and road all the way to the Dwarf forest. He got to the edge and that's when the unicorn bucked him off and ran away. John got up and stared into the forest. It was dark now so it was probably the most dangerous time to go in there, but he needed too. He walked the west path and it took him two days to find actually find the hut but he soon found it. Surrounded by thorn bushes, and thick trees.
John walked up to it and knocked on her door. A tiny women opened the door, who wore a brown a brown hooded cloak, wrinkles and a huge mole.
"Are you Hagatha?"
"How did you find me?" She snapped.
"The traveling tradesman." He answered. "He said you knew more about the Wishing Spell."
"Come in." She said and gestured inside. John walked in, and she closed the door behind him. "Have a seat."
John took a seat at a very long table that took up most of the room in the hut. Hagatha then put some weird ingredients into a caldron.
"Are those the ingredients?"
"No, this potion is to help me remember the ingredients of that spell. Are you sure you want to seek out this spell. People have died trying to get this spell."
"I would rather die trying, than live the rest of my life never knowing what would happen."
"Then listen closely. I'm only going to say this once."
John quickly took his journal out and a pen and started to write down what she said. After she was finished, he thanked her and ran out of the hut and out of the woods, it wasn't night yet and there was still light so he ran all the way to the Charming Kingdom castle. There he found his childhood friend standing in front of it. Lampton had recently become a palace guard. John was so proud of him, it had always been his dream and he made it come true. Lampton spotted John and walked over to him.
"Hey bud. What are you doing here? I thought you were in the Otherworld for three months. At least that's what I heard." Lampton said.
"I was. Wow, is the time change really that different?"
"Yeah, it's only been a few hours, since you guys left."
"Anyways, I need your help. I met someone, and I need to get back to her. But my mom won't let me."
"That makes sense you are her only son left." Lampton said. "So why do you need my help?"
"I've found a spell. A spell that can grant me any wish I want. But it will take an adventure. You in?"
"Of course I'm in. To keep you alive." Lampton said.
"Great. We'll start in the morning. Just meet me at my house." John said.
"Do you even think it will work?"
"Nothing can stop me. I'm going to back what ever it takes."
