A Life Changing Trip
10 YEARS LATER....
It was a beautiful day in the Fairytale World. Everyone was going about their normal day, the birds were chirping, the fairies were flying and the mermaids were singing. Everything was as it should be.
John Bailey was on his terrace in his huge mansion in the Charming Kingdom looking at the view. He breathed in some fresh spring air and walked back down to his kitchen. The Fairy Godmother walked into the house and hugged him.
"Good Morning John." She said and sat down at the breakfast table.
"Good morning mother. John said as he got himself some coffee and his mother some too. He gave the cup to her and sat down. "So any updates?"
"No, no one has seen him in forever. I don't think we'll ever see him again." The Fairy Godmother said and wiped away her tears. "I should have never done that to him."
"You did the right thing mom. Lloyd was getting worse every day." John said.
"That is true. But I'm sure we'll find him. One day." The Fairy Godmother said and took a sip of her coffee. "Oh yeah I have some news. I'm going to visit a children's hospital in the otherworld and I was thinking you should come. If you want."
"If I want! That's amazing! Of course I'll come!" John said excitedly. "When do we leave?"
"Right now. The Fairy Council is already waiting for us." The Fairy Godmother waved her wand and they landed in the parking lot of the children's hospital. John looked around and was startled by all the cars.
"Mother what are these?"
"Their cars John. It's what people use for transportation here. Let's go inside, their waiting." The Fairy Godmother said. The Fairy Godmother waved her wand again and a thick storybook appeared in her hands. It was emerald green with gold writing that said The Land Of Stories. They walked in and a nurse walked them into one of the rooms. The kids in that room had already heard from The Fairy Godmother before, so when she walked in they clapped.
"Hi kids." She said and sat in the chair.
"Hi." All the kids said.
"Nurses will be coming in and out of here, so just don't pay any attention to them. These kids have been waiting for this all day." The nurse said and then walked out.
"Ok kids, I think we should start at the beginning of the book, Cinderella." The Fairy Godmother said and opened the book.
A nurse with blue eyes and auburn hair then walked into the room wearing a pair of blue scrubs. Johns mind became completely blank. In his opinion, she was the most beautiful women in the whole world. The women saw him staring at her and smiled back. She even blushed, she thought he was very handsome.
"I'm sorry, I just need to get a blood test. Don't mind me." She said. She set down her tray and sat next to a little girl. The Fairy Godmother could tell John liked her. She gave him a look telling him to go and say hi, and she continued to read. After the women was done she walked out and John followed.
"Um, hi." He said to her. She turned around and smiled at him.
"Hi, I'm Charlotte."
"I'm John."
"I've never seen you here before. Are you her son?"
"Yeah I am. I just came to see the hospital. I've never been in one before. Would you mind giving me a tour?" John asked.
"Sure."
Charlotte showed him around the hospital, showed him all the medicine they used, he was even more surprised when he saw a television in one of the rooms. Charlotte explained to him what it was and he was fascinated with it. John was fascinated about everything. This world used so much more science and technology than his did. These people didn't have magic, they couldn't wave their magic wands and make everything better. These people worked for what they wanted and needed, and that was something John wanted to be apart of.
"Thank you for the tour Charlotte." John said as she walked him out. "I would love to see you again. Would you want to go out, with me?"
"I would love too."
"Great! How about tonight? I'll pick you up at your house." John said
Charlotte smiled and walked back inside the hospital with a huge smile on her face. The Fairy Godmother walked over to John and saw that he was really happy.
"You really like her, don't you."
"I think I do." John said.
"Hon don't get to attached, we have to go back home soon. We're going to stay here for 2 months, so we can visit all the children hospitals and a few houses, then we're going back."
"Ok mother. Don't worry, I won't."
A whole 2 months past and Charlotte and John had already fallen in love with each other. Even though John knew he couldn't be with her, he had to talk his mother into letting him stay in the Otherworld. The more he spent there and spent with Charlotte, the more he wanted to stay.
John was in his hotel room getting ready for his 40th date with Charlotte when he mother walked into his room.
"John, where are you going?" She asked.
"I'm going out with Charlotte." John said putting his jacket on. "Mom, I've never felt like this before. I love her."
"I'm glad you do. But you can't be together."
"Why mother? Maybe this is where I belong."
"No. No it isn't. You belong in the Fairytale world, with me. John you are going to tell Charlotte that you are leaving."
"Mother, are you seriously telling me to not be with the women I love?" John said.
"John you will listen to me! You will tell Charlotte you are leaving and that your will never see her again."
"Fine. I'm just saying now, your ruining my life!" John said and stomped out of the room. The Fairy Godmother sat on the bed and sobbed. She hated it when her son got upset of her. It reminded her of Lloyd, whenever he would get upset, and she knew what would happen. She would lose the only son she had left.
Meanwhile, Charlotte and John walked into a fancy restaurant and got seats at a booth.
"I'm glad we're going out. I'm glad we're together." Charlotte said and took his hands into hers
"Me too. Charlotte there's something I've got to tell you."
"What?"
"I'm leaving. Back to where I live."
"What? Why?" Charlotte asked.
"Because I have work there. Charlotte if I could stay I would. I love you so much. More than anything else in the world. I promise you that I will find a way back here." John said.
"Oh John. I love you too, and I'm sure that we'll see each other again soon too." Charlotte leaned over and kissed him. It would be their last one until they meet again.
