What song are you currently listening to?

I've been swapping between "Waiting for Superman" by Daughtry and "Hurricane" by Bridgit Mendler.

Tell us three facts about your current series.

Hmm... let's see...

1. Sometime before the Great Crossing, mages ruled the world. They...weren't very benevolent about it.

2. "The Northlands" is a catch-all term Abreylians use for a couple different fey kingdoms that lie to the north of Abreyla.

3. Hobrin's mother was the goblin while his father was the fey. They met when his mother began working as a book keeper for Hobrin's grandfather's "business".

What is the best kind of book couple?

The Sedgewick and Feyla kind, of course! But in all seriousness, I like the couples whose differences balance each other out. Couples who are too similar bore me. Some sort of forbidden element such as hero/villain, rich/poor, younger/older, or knight/lady are also archetypes I tend to enjoy. That being said, as long as their well-written, I'll probably like them.

Who is your favorite character from a book you've read?

Oh! Earin from Tales of Goldstone Wood is one of my favorites. He's a blind poet/knight/cat-fae who steals every scene he's in.

Sam Vimes from the Discworld series is another one.

Miri from Princess Academy was one of my favorites back in middle school. I read that book four or five times at least.

What is the best villain?

This is hard because I've liked villains of are stripes and types. That being said, I tend to like the ones with lots of motivation and backstory, the ones who get up close and personal with the hero(ine). I also have a soft spot for the ones who might kind-of-sorta be crushing on the heroine.

Are your characters diverse or do they come from the same culture?

Most of my characters are from Abreyla, but there are a few from outside the kingdom. Sedgewick and Bilara are the ones who have appeared the most.

How many main characters are in your series?

Currently at least three: Sedgewick, Feyla, and Eleyna. This could expand, though. I have an idea or two for one starring Wick. He hasn't appeared yet unless you count a tiny cameo in one of my comments.

Name five differences between your rough draft and your final draft.

Well, the one on Wattpad is the first draft and I haven't done much editing on the offline one. The only major change I made to something I'd already written (not counting changes made to my rough plot outline) was Sedgewick's first fight scene with the witches. It was completely rewritten two days before I posted it on here. The original had Sedgewick struggling against the witches more and didn't really capture his skill or his love of magic.

What is your fear as an author?

Losing my "touch" and never being able to top my past works. Also, disappointing my readers.

Tagging: Eh, go for it if you want to. I'll let y'all off easy today.
