Humans have theorized about the existence of aliens for years. May dismissed it as a hoax, but what they didn't know was that the theorists were right all along. Aliens did exist; they were just smart enough to hide their existence from the Earthlings.

How in the world do I know all this? Well, it turns out that I am also one of these "aliens" along with at least ten percent of the Earth's population. If your mind was blown by that, just wait until I get to the actually amazing stuff, like warp drive and hover boards, for example.

I know that what I've just told you is a lot to take in, so you're probably confused. In order to remedy this, you have to learn about the history of Earth and the world that most of the "aliens" inhabit, Gaia.

Originally, Gaians and humans were one people. They lived together, undivided, on the planet known as Earth. For centuries, that was how it was, but a simple argument changed that. The Primos population, the first inhabitants of Earth and the ancestors of the Gaians and the humans, were a highly evolved people, so much so that space travel had been accomplished decades before and was seen as boring by the people of that time. Space travel had been part of the conflict that split the Primos in two. One group, the ones that would later be known as Gaians, wanted to explore the galaxy and search for other planets capable of supporting life while the second group, the ones that would later become the humans, were strongly opposed to it. They were content with their lives and did not want to spend time traversing the galaxy when they could be stargazing with their friends and family.

This conflict soon grew way out of proportion and nearly started a war. The future Gaians, hoping to avoid war, gathered up their technology and left Earth in search of another planet. They quickly found one that, coincidently, was very close to Earth. They swiftly began constructing their civilization and even went as far as to create a cloaking device to hide their new planet from the future humans.

The Primos that would become the humans, however, were not doing so well. The Gaians had taken all their technology and left them with only the most basic things like the wheel, but humanity eventually would begin to grow. They began evolving their lifestyles, languages, and much more in order to survive without their technology. 

The humans were not the only ones to evolve, though. Gaia, while capable of supporting life, was very hostile when the Primos arrived, so in order to survive the harsh wilderness, animals, and nature itself, they devolved specific talents and created jobs to fit those talents. 

For example, those who could fight were given jobs as protectors and hunters, while  those who could use medicine were put to work as doctors. After realizing how effective it was, the Gaians continued to use the same system for assigning jobs. This would lead to the Gaians making great advancements in technology and many other fields.

The Gaians, extremely proud of what they had accomplished, began to think of the humans as inferior. The government immediately saw that they had to step in after Gaians began talk of invading Earth, so to show their people that humans did have a purpose, they began an exchange system with the humans. Secretly, humans would be brought to Gaia and were taught to live among Gaians. Due to their similar appearances, most Gaians didn't even notice. After a while, the government revealed that many humans were actually living among their people. The citizens of Gaia were shocked, but the plan worked. Humans had regained their status as a near-equal race.

After seeing the success of their earlier plan, the Gaian government attempted to do the same thing in reverse. They would send down Gaians to live with the humans, and eventually, the humans would learn the truth. That was not all, though. In order to humble the future generations of Gaians, many were born on Earth and by humans. Their true identities were hidden from them until they reached the age of thirteen. Then, they would be taken back to Gaia and given a proper Gaian education along with learning their roles in society.

That brings us to right about now. Technology on Earth is advancing, and the Gaian government's plan is in full swing. 

If you hadn't figured it out, I am one of the children raised on Earth by humans because of the Gaian government. That was why finding out I was an "alien" was such a shock, but it wasn't just me. Thousands of children were taken back to Gaia, confused and distressed. No one knew what was going to happen to us, but right then, we all made a promise, to never give up and to get back home. Not Gaia, but the place we had been raised, Earth. If only things could be that simple.
