Vali: Why did you bring him here Ophis?

After we were led into the portal the girl led us to a large mansion in the devil realm. After she explained who she was she took us to Vali who apparently is her spy within the fallen angel faction. Nearby was a black haired woman with cat ears who must have been Koneko's sister, if Koneko's body language was any indication. Ophis explained what happened to us and the woman look absolutely enraged, but for now kept quiet.

Ophis: ...He will be joining us from now on...

Vali: What do you mean? Even if he is stronger then before, he is the weakest among us. When we remove his evil piece, he will be even weaker. If you gift him your power, it may very well kill him out right.

Ophis then looked straight into my eyes. Her gaze seemed to reach into my soul and sent a chill down my spine.

Ophis: ...There is another way besides my snakes... One more permanent and potent... The Ancient Ritual...

As Vali raised an eyebrow a loud gasp was heard and his sacred gear emerged from his back.

Albion: ARE YOU MAD?! WE AGREED TO NEVER USE THAT AGAIN!!

Ophis turned her gaze to the sacred gear and I could swear I could see him flinch.

Ophis: I care little for the deals between you and your lesser kin... But you do have a point... He is not ready at the moment... I will train him myself and prepare him...

Kiba: What about Koneko. I will not abandon her.

Ophis: For now I will clear up the lies the devils fed her and remove both your evil pieces... I give you my word, no harm will befall her while you are with me...

I thought about what she said hard. With her voice and face devoid of all emotions it was impossible to know whether or Not she was lying, but she was right in a way. I do need help. Without my knight piece, I'm only an above average swordsman.

Kiba: ...fine I'll trust you but know this. If you lie to me you better make damn sure you kill me, because if you don't, I WILL kill you. I'll pay any price and suffer any pain to keep her safe and if I have to kill a God so be it...

Everyone in the room other than Ophis gasped and grew pale at what I said. The temperature dropped a dozen degrees and Ophis glared a bit of her power and smirked at me.

Ophis: Do you honestly think one human could ever even hope to fight a God let alone kill one? I am one of the most powerful beings to exist.

She then placed a hand on my chest and it glowed red for a second as I felt significantly weaker. She then removed her hand and held up the knight piece that saved my life so long ago. She then crushed it in her hand.

Ophis: Learn your place human.

I then summoned a blade and held it up and pointed it to her head. The air grew still and no one dared to speak until Ophis started to shake. Vali and Kuroka started to sweat profusely and back off quickly bringing Koneko with them.

Ophis: ...he...heh...AHAHAHAHAHA! I KNEW I MADE THE RIGHT CALL!

The infinite dragon God was roaring with laughter while the rest of us looked at her as if she grew a second head. After a few minutes she started to settle down and wiped her tears from her eyes.

Ophis: You remind me of the slave knight Gael. After humanity was driven to the edge of extinction and his wife was killed, he alone fought his way through the gates of heaven and challenged God himself.

She then looked me straight in the eyes.

Ophis: That's when your ancestor commuted the greatest sin. Dieticide... He killed God in single combat... No one knows how and many think he was demonicly empowered or has some kind of demon blade but I believe otherwise. Humans have many flaws but there is a reason the various factions for the most part leave them alone... I alone witnessed the battle and I can tell you this. He may have died soon after but the only man to ever kill a God was indeed human and he gave God the same look you gave me.

Kiba: M-my ancestor killed God...

Ophis: Yes, it took a lot of digging but you are indeed the godslayer's only living descendant. Gael's name may have been erased from history but his blood remains and from the looks of it, is stronger than ever. The ritual will allow you to world the same power he did. He sold his soul for it so he could have a chance, but I offer it to you not for your soul but for your help.

Vali: Obsurd! Humans can't wield that kind of power! Just look at them! Even Cao-cao who has the most powerful sacred gear in existence doesn't have even a fraction of the power you claim this Gael had! If this ritual gives so much power, how come humanity is still so weak?!

Ophis: Believe what you will, your opinion doesn't matter in the slightest...

Kiba: So in exchange for power you want me to help you?

Ophis: ...No either way I'll help you. Gael helped me long ago and I'll consider my debt to him paid with helping you follow his path. But I know your type. As long as I protect this cat, you will help me. And you have my vow. I will protect her if you agree to help. Personally if I have to.

Kiba: ...why are you willing to go so far for me? Even if everything you say is true, I'm still only one man.

Ophis: ...why indeed... Honestly I don't know... This is really a gamble with low odds of success but I do believe that you not only can match Gael's prowess but surpass it as well. So I ask you fallen knight of Gremory, will you assist me?

Kiba: ...ok...

A/n you know that feeling when you do things that make you feel that your about to be smited... Yeah... If you all hear that good ole Crenin here died by a lightning bolt or crushed under a giant crucifix, well you now know why. Anyway yes I got the Gael idea from Dark Souls 3 and I might steal other ideas from other games. What can I say? I'm shameless. What do you think about this? Should I add a small harem or keep it Koneko only? But do know I won't add any of Rias's peerage into it except maybe Asia cuz fuck issei. He doesn't deserve her. Might make it a vote but I'll think about that when I get out of this GODDAMN CAST! only one week left! I wanna play video games again!
