Chapter 7- Befriend The Enemy

"What a weirdo, you can't play with us, because it's girls only!"

"Only boys get to play soccer! Go play dress up!"

"Boys don't play with dolls, and your doll is ugly!"

"Be a good girl and do not speak. No one would want to hear a bitchy woman,"

"Boys do not cry! Man up and stop being a sissy!"

"Ew!! Why are you in the girl's bathroom! You pervert!!"

"You freak! Why can't you be normal?!"

"Freak!!"

"Monster," You mumbled out, picking up the jacket of the corpse.
"Huh?" Tenko asked a little confused.
"Nothing, just bad memories," You bluntly said, and saw the blood of a demon evaporated.

"Cadet,"

You immediately took out your blades, pushing Tenko back, and turned around. You aimed the blades towards the person who dared tried to sneak up on you.
"Woah now, no need for that. I'm no Titan," You saw a tall imp, wearing a familiar, yet different jacket of the other imps. You glared darkly at him, and still had your blade at him.

"Now now, do not worry. I'm just simply asking a question, are you part of the cadets?" He asked you, eyes trailing down to the kid, making your tale a side step to block him.
'Be wise (Y/N) (L/N), this human is a strong one,' The second wanted you with caution.
'Yeah, but as strong as the Head Hunter!' The voice boomed with glee.

"Yes," You simply answered. The imp stared at you for a moment, and nodded.
"Well then, how about you help me with a little situation?" He asked, Tenko clutching your shirt. You wanted to slash his throat. You didn't like it when people give you orders, which made it hard in university, yet... you could gain their trust.
"What is it that you need?" You questioned, putting your blades in your gear.

"I'll tell you soon, and you may refer to me as Commander Pyxis,"

"FOR HUMANITY, LET HIM BE BY OUR SIDE AND FIGHT THOSE TITANS!!" Armin shouted at the captain of the Garrisons, as Eren and Mikasa stood behind him. The captain shouted at the soldiers to aim at them, and he raised his arm up to tell them to attack.
"FI-" before he did, a flash advanced behind him and was right behind.

CLING

"I wouldn't move, or else you'll be sporting a good hook for a hand," The captain of the Garrisons froze as he felt the sharp blades on his hand, and he turn his head to see you, a creepy look in your eyes, and over your shoulder, a cadet jacket.

You needed to go undercover so no one else's suspects you for not being part of the soldiers.

"Who do think you are?!" A Grey haired imp glared as she pulled her blades out, ready to strike you if you so even make a cut.
"ANOTHER TRAITOR?! WHO THE HELL TOLD YOU TO FIGHT AGAINST YOUR SUPERIOR?!" The captain shouted in your face.
'Ha! That's a funny joke!' The voice laughed as you had eye contact with the grey haired imp, daring for her to attack.

"I told the soldier to," Behind you, was a imp you met named Commander Pyxis, and holding onto his jacket was Tenko.
"C-commander Pyxis!" The captain stammered, and gulped as you scowled at him.
"Let him go, he knows his place again," You hissed lowly at him, never liking people ordering you around, but you had to stay low again, and so you lowered your blades, Tenko ran to your side again.

"Looks like you should do something about that nervous disposition captain," Pyxis told him.
"Can you not see this soldier's heartfelt salute?" He motioned to Armin who was still standing tall and shaking slightly. You stared at the three imps below, and made eye contact with the brown haired imp, who's eyes were wide.

"I only just arrived but I am aware about our current situation. Gather reinforcements, at least give these soldiers the favor of hearing them out." He said with a smile.
"Soldier, lead them to the lift of the walls," He motioned to you, making you say nothing but put your blades back into your gear.

You walked passed the grey haired female and the captain, giving them a blank, yet deadly look that could strike the most bravest down in fear. Whispers gathered around you.

"It's the civilian! Or were they a soldier all along?"

"I thought so, no poor person could ever master the skill of ODM gear just by putting them on!"

"She is so cool!"

"She? Only a man could strike down Titans and be bold enough to face the captain."

"I wouldn't think so, men would kiss on their boots for special treatment."

'What naive humans, thinking gender would make any difference on a murderer,' The voice commented.
"You three," You said as you reached them, and the lifted was getting lowered down.
"On the lift now," You told them, Tenko peeking from behind you. They all stood up, and cautiously walked backwards.

You took Tenko and got onto the lift with them, and the dolly got lifted up into the air. You didn't say anything else to them as you leaned against the railing and watched the destroyed city in front of you.
"Hi..." Tenko mumbled out to the trio, making them look at him.
'What the hell? Why is a kid here? Did that soldier brought him here against his will? Bastard,' Eren thought in anger.

"Hey... Why are you exactly here kid?" Armin asked hesitantly, giving you a look, but you ignored him.
'Are you going to say anything? Like, telling them to back off or something?' The voice asked you a little curious.
"Let them, I don't care," You mumbled, and Eren looked at you weird.
"Don't worry, ca- the soldier is always like that," Tenko said, not wanting them to know the name he gave you.

He may be young, but sure as hell he knows what they'll do to you if they know what you do.
"I am around because the soldier saved my life, and I didn't want to leave the soldier's side." Tenko explained.
"But it's not safe, why didn't you bring him to the refuge?" Eren asked you with anger in his voice.
"Eren," Mikasa warned him, but agreed with him.

"I don't control what the kid does, if he wants to die, let him," You simply replied. Before Eren could say anything else, you all made it to the top and you walked passed him.
"Come on," Just by making contact, you saw already, how much the demon changing imp hates you with a passion.

Perfect.

Pyxis was already there, and took a swig from his flask. He started to talk to the three imps, but you didn't pay attention at all. Like you cared at all about them. You heard a growl of Tenko's stomach and looked at him.
"I thought you are the granola," You told him, making him nod.

"I did, but... I haven't exactly eaten in days," He choked out, feeling guilty that he wanted more.
'Poor kid,' The second voice sighed, but you swore you heard amusement from it. Strange, it's usually the reasonable one and doesn't like this sort of stuff, but you ignored it.

You heard Pyxis walk to other imps that just got up the wall and the three imps were talking to each other.
"Look sharp, the fate of man kind rests on your shoulders," He told them, and they saluted.
"Hey there, 'cadet'," You heard Pyxis walk next to you to the edge of the wall.

"Hello there, is there anything you want to say? I could see it in your eyes," You told him, and he sighed.
"You could read anyone with your eyes," He commented, making you nod.

"So soldier, you already know that I know that you are not a real soldier?" Pyxis chuckled as you stared into the city.
"Just by looking into your eyes, you didn't believe me at all," You explained, giving a granola bar to Tenko, who happily opened to eat it.

"Right, and I knew you took that jacket and gear from a dead cadet," Pyxis continued, making your hand twitch slightly. No witnesses, no witnesses, no witnesses.
"Yet you asked me to stop the captain with dangerous force," You retorted.
"You are an interesting one, coming out of no where with a child by your side." He turn to you.

"I would want to know more about you, but as of now, let's regain this part of humanity,"
