Chapter 6- Hunger Strikes

You stared down at the demons under you, all seven, walking around like zombies.
"Disgusting demons, having no purpose in this world but to be nothing but mere targets," You grumbled, reaching up to your face and touch your scar on your cheek. You saw the lift getting lowered and the imps held the guns out, aiming at the demons.

The demons turned to them, and they slowly advanced towards them, you could smell the fear radiating from the imps.
"Sweet fear, I want to taste their fear... I want to eat their fear filled flesh," You muttered, wiping drool off your face.
"FIRE!!" You suddenly heard, and the flashing lights and loud sounds boomed across the room.

You covered your ears, and saw the seven imps jump down and strike the demons from the necks. Five demons went down dead, but two still stood tall. A buzz cut imp and a brown haired imp didn't cut their necks deeply, and the Titan turn to attack
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry... IM SORRY!!" The brown haired imp yelled in terror as the Titan was about to crush them.

SLASH

'WOOOOOO!! THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!!' The voice cheered, and the second sighed in relief as you swooped in and took the demon down with the blades.
"Shut up," You hissed, not wanting them to talk anymore. You landed on the ground and stared at the blood on your hand.
"I'm hungry," You whispered, as your stomach grumble a little more. You leaned in to lick it, just to lower your hunger down a little, and-

"HEY!!" You looked over to see a brown haired girl with a ponytail in tears.
"YOU SAVED MY LIFE!! I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH!!" She cried, and then she grabbed your shirt as she continued to cry. Alarms in your brain started to go off.

You really didn't like people touching you.

"Crying is futile, you're alive, care for it," You told her, and grabbed her hands to push her off. But as you did, a sudden shock was sent through your body and through her too. She slightly gasped as she felt it and looked up at you.
'Woah! That was weird!' The voice said, surprised as if they could feel it.

'Definitely, maybe it was but nerves?' Before you knew it, Jean told everyone that they could get more gas now since the demons were gone. You then saw Marco faint and you dropped your blades. The group refilled their gas tanks and talking about how they're going to live.
'Look at that (Y/N) (L/N), these people are doing what they can to survive, they have hope. They will see one more day of life!' The second voice told you happily.

"Hm," You hummed, not caring at all. Why should you feel happy when others are? You don't live their lives, it's not something you need to care about. These imps are going to die, but they just want a crutch to hold onto so they won't feel so pathetic. You latched the gas tank onto your 'ODM' gear, and you walked the opposite way the others are.

"Wait! Where are you going?" You turn to see Marco and brown haired imp, looking confused and worried.
"Getting the kid, he's important to me," You told them, and you left. Unfortunately, the two didn't understand your true intentions and smiled as you ran upstairs.

"That civilian truly cares for the boy, I wonder if they're family," Sasha said, still thinking about that shock that happened. It felt... kinda good for her, like an internal feeding for her body.
"Who knows? But at least there is another spark of hope for humanity, they are an example," Marco smiled.

You made it upstairs and found Tenko hugging your backpack.
"The demons are gone, let's go," You grabbed your bag, slung it over your shoulder, and grabbed his hand. You picked him up and made your way downstairs to see the imps gone.
"They already left, if I could find the imp Jean, he could take you back to a refuge," You explained.

Tenko wanted to argue, but then you shot hooks out and got onto a roof. The both of you stopped as you saw demons eating the demon traitor.
'That's rough buddy,' The voice said, making you hiss at it.
"Such a shame, I thought I found my new toy," You sighed, and shot a hook out and swung across the building.

Then, a huge shock hit your body, making you freeze up and hit a roof. You both tumbled down and Tenko  shot up to see you shaking, and your back facing him.
'Oh no,' The second voice mumbled.
"Cannibal?" The boy asked worried as you doubled over and clutched your stomach.

"Hungry... I need... to eat," You managed to croak out, and your eyes dilating, trying to search for meat. Tenko scrambled up and he dug in his from pocket.
"W-wait! I have the granola you gave me, h-here!" Tenko ran in front of you and tried to give you the granola bar from his pocket, but then you snapped your head up, eyes filled with hunger and you tackled him.

He gasped as you pinned him down, legs on each side of his waist, and hands pressing down harshly on him arms. You stared down at him, drooling so much it spilled on his shirt. He whimpered and cried as he struggled to get out of your grasp.
"Cannibal!! Cannibal!!" He cried out, tears pouring down.
'(Y/N)!! (Y/N) STOP!!' The voice yelled in your head, but you can't hear at all.

'YOU NEED TO STOP YOU'RE GOING TO KILL THE BOY AND YOURSELF!!'
'FUCK!! THEY CAN'T HEAR US AT ALL! THEY'RE IN THE DEATH TRANCE!!' Death trance, as you call, your killing mind. Where you can't hear anything but your heart eating and your prey's fear filling their bodies.

"Flesh... FLESH!!" You gripped tightly Tenko's arm, and pulled it forward with force, intending to eat it first. Tenko cried, but no one was around, no one to save him from you. You scowled in hunger as you opened your mouth, more saliva dripping, you licked your teeth and sunk your teeth in.
'(Y/N)!!'
'STOP!!' Tenko shut his eyes tightly, bracing for searing pain that you caused.

But nothing.

He opened his eyes, to see you staring at him again, but your eyes were normal again. You still had his arm in your mouth, but you didn't sink your teeth in at all, drool still dripping down.
"W-Wh..." The breath that he didn't know he held was finally released and he gasped for air. You heavily panted, like you were out of breath too, and your held onto him a little less tightly.

"Flesh..." Was all you said, before passing out on top of him.
"Ack!" He yelped and pushed you off of him. He sat up and scrambled away from you. Eyes still wide, he grabbed your bag, and turn to find help, but then stopped. He turned his head to see you, unconscious and laying there. With no help if he takes your bag.

'They tired to eat me... they wanted to kill me... they don't care about me... but why do I feel like I need to help them...' Tenko weighed the options, and he then decided to turn back and jumped off the roof, leaving you alone.

'I'm sorry,'

Meat.

You smell meat.

Are you actually dead?

Wait, that's the smell of a corpse.

Not fresh, but only a few hours old.

That's... Tenko?

You opened your eyes and saw you were still in the shitty down world, still on the roof, still hungry. You heard something scrape against the roof, and you snap your head to see Tenko, and he was pulling... a dead body. He threw it in front of you and took a step back, sitting down and stared at you.
'Woah... I... actually didn't expect that,' The voice said shocked.

You give him a look, a faint curious and a 'really?' Look. Did he really go out of his way to find a corpse, carried it by himself, and got onto the roof just for you to eat it? Your stomach was in pain with hunger, and you quickly snatched the corpse, ripping the skin and diving right into the muscle.

Tenko hugged his legs and watched you devour it like... like a Titan. Tenko Shimura has a guardian, a guardian who is a Titan like killer, and who he'll want to stay by their side.
"Cannibal... I don't want to be away from you. I want to be by your side and not in some stupid refuge! I'm going to be with you even if it kills me," He said, a determined look, making you stare at him.

"Risky move kid, but this will be amusing for me,"
