Chapter 17- The Wrong Time To Explore

"I'm scared Canni..." Tenko mumbled as he pulled his blanket over his head. He was on the carriage while you were on a horse, hands chained to the leash, with the other Imp soldiers ready for the expedition.
"We've cleared away the Titans in the vicinity, 30 seconds until the gate open!" Someone shouted, and you hummed at the imps around you.

'You ready (Y/N) (L/N)?' The voice asked you.
"More or less," You muttered, feeing the stares of Eren, Marco, and Sasha.
"The time has come! From this moment, mankind takes another step forward! Show us the fruits of your training!" Darius yelled and the soldier imps cheered.

"Begin opening the gate!" The gates to the walls opened slowly, and you took a breath in, knowing that death is very near.
"Fall in! The 57th expedition outside the wall begins now!" Erwin shouted, and with that, you all charged out into the outside, away from the walls, away from safety.

"What safety are those cattle fences?"

'I sense something wrong here, you think there's any enemies nearby?' The second voice asked you.
"Doubt it. No one here is deemed an enemy here," You mumbled, pushing your horse to run along side your Imp squad.
"Smoke signals. Green. Oluo, pass it on," Levi announced to the two tone Imp, who agreed and shot a green flare up.

You still noticed the stares coming from Eren, which made you turn your head slightly to see him giving you some weird eyes fill with emotions.
"What?" You bluntly asked, and he quickly turned away.
'You don't need to be cold to me like before... I want to see you vulnerable again,' Eren thought with a lovingly sigh.

"Reporting sir!" You turned back to see another soldier Imp riding along Levi.
"An oral message! It appears that the right wing spotters had been wiped out!!" He explained in a panic, which made Tenko gulp.
"The early warning network is compromised! One of you need to relay the message down the line!" Levi nodded and turned to Petra.

"You heard the soldier, Petra, go along," Petra obeyed and sent her horse down the other way.
'Oooooooo! Now this is getting good!' The voiced cackled, which made you sigh a little.
"Black smoke!" Tenko exclaimed, seeing the smoke and ducked inside the wagon.
"Eren! Fire the signal," Levi commanded, and Eren quickly shot out black smoke.

"We're going to stop those titans! Right, Canni?" Tenko asked you as he lifted his head up from the blanket.
"More or less, if these imps are competent enough," You told him, which made the squad glare at you, but Eren did a low hum.

You all continued to run through the lands, until you looked to see that you're driving into a very big forest.
'Now that's impressive!' The voice said in awe as you pulled your horse into the woods, the path faded and banged up.

"Captain! Captain Levi!" Eren shouted to his superior.
"What?" Levi asked if irritated.
"Come on sir, we're in a forest! We won't see a Titan until it's right on top of us! The center ranks are totally cut off! Something is coming up on the right, isn't it?!" Eren managed to choke out as you groaned in annoyance.

"Quit whining and move on from the obvious. Neither of those is an option anymore," Levi bluntly told the boy.
"Use your head dumbass, and think for the first time," You said to Eren, who simply nodded.
'Anything for you, my prey,' He thought

"Canni... the squad... they looked as confused as Eren," Tenko pulled your cloak as you looked around to see them all nervous and confused.
"Well shit," You hissed, knowing that they won't let you go anywhere if they don't even know what's happening.

Suddenly, a flare gun was shot and you saw black smoke
"It's right behind us!" Gunther exclaimed.
"Damn thing's been on our tails since we came in here!" Eld scowled, but then the other boy looked behind him.

"Where's (Y/N)?!" Gunther shouted, and they all turn to see you gone, along with Tenko missing from the wagon. The chains broken off and they saw your muzzle hanging on the side of the horse you were riding on.
"Dammit!" Levi hissed, and told the others to keep moving.

"Be ready!!" He yelled, as a soldier flew across the trees, and then swatted down by the Female Titan, who started to run down the path they were in.

'Shit!! Where are you (Y/N)?! We could really need that hunger of yours!!'

"So it didn't work?" Tenko asked as he swung his legs back and forth, everyone outside and drinking some tea after Eren's failed transformation.
"Should've known, might as well throw him in a cage full of those demons and except him to fight them at once," You said through your muzzle.

You and Tenko sat on one table away from the others, and they didn't not trust you at all.
'Hey, even if the boy can't transform, it's nice and quiet for once,' The second voice pointed out, and you nodded, before-

BOOM

A giant explosion was sparked next to you, blowing everyone away and you moved to Tenko's side in a swift movement, holding him close to your chest as your back took the blow on the very hot steam.
'Holy shit!!' The voice exclaimed in awe as the steam settled, where Eren had his hand stuck the his half transformed Titan arm.

"Canni, your muzzle!" You heard Tenko exclaim as you realized your muzzle was blown off, along with your chains breaking off.
'Now this is interesting!' The second voice mumbled in wonderment.
"Amusing," You mumbled, standing up as steam came off from the back of your shirt.

"Dammit, why now?!" Eren said in a panic as you saw the soldier imps with their blades out, ready to attack you and Eren.
"The situation is complicated, so calm down," Levi sternly told the imps, who didn't back down yet. You turned your head to look at the torso of the Titan muscle, steaming and ribs showing.

You took a step closer, and Eren snarled at you.
"Don't get any closer!!" He shouted at you, which made the other scouts raise their blades.
"Stay right where you are murderer!!" You heard Oluo shout, but you ignored him as you set Tenko down and placed a hand on the Titan's muscle.

"Stop it!! Don't touch me!! I didn't mean to transform!! So don't get near me!!" Eren shouted at you, but you just pushed your hand harder into the muscle, burning your hands as you leaned in.
'Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it!' The voice changed as everyone started to shout at you and Eren, but mainly you as you ignored every word.

Munch

Tenko gagged slightly as you took a bite on Eren's Titan muscle, which steam was let out from your mouth.
"ERRREEEEENNN!! (YYYYYY/NNNNNN)!!!" You all turn to see Hanji running towards you with sparkling eyes and a blushing face.

"I wanna touch the arm! I wanna touch the arm too!! Pretty please!! Let me touch this glorious thing!!" Hanji drooled all over as Eren stammered.
They already placed their hands on the muscle and immediately reeled back from the heat.

"Son of a bitch!! That's hot without that skin!! Best day ever!! How did you ever manage to touch it without getting burned (Y/N)?!" Hanji rambled on as they shook your rapidly.
Eren then struggled and eventually ripped his arm out of the Titan muscle, which Hanji cried in despair.

"So... how was the taste?" Tenko whispered to you, in which you just shrugged and stuck your tongue out to show the disappearing meat.

"A little airy,"

"Why did you taste it?" You leaned against the doorframe, turning your head to see Hanji walking up to you with a smile.
"Shouldn't you be worried that I'm not in my chamber?" You asked them, looking up in the stars.

"Why do I care? You could easily leave here, so why bother?" They chuckled, and stood next to you.
"It's been a while since I've had meat. Human meat. It's either eating gross and airy meat than going off ripping your throats while sleeping," You explained to Hanji as they hummed.

"If you don't mind, do you actually eat anything else but human meat? You had to eat something before you discovered your love for humans," They questioned, and you nodded.
"Lobster," You muttered, and they titled their head a little.

"I've haven't heard of lobster before, is it a rare animal?" They asked you. You gave them a blank look, not wanting to continue talking, but there was this feeling in your stomach, like you were totally okay with talking to Hanji.

"Not really.... But they do live in the ocean..."
