You trick your lovers
That you're wicked and divine,
You may be a sinner
But your innocence is mine.

Lie with me, my love
Let me in, and I'll show you
How to let it all out.

I've never quite understood the thrill teenagers get by sneaking out during school trips. Is it the excitement of doing something you're not supposed to? Or is it the fact that it makes you feel badass?

It was exactly 10 p.m. when someone knocked at my hotel door, and exactly 20 minutes later I was standing outside a dingy looking run down pub, near our equally shady motel. Everything happened so fast- one minute I was sitting on the couch listening to Radiohead and another, I was out of my hotel room faster than "The Flash".

"Can someone please tell me, what exactly are we doing here?" I asked my imbecile group of friends.

"Oh Colours, would you shut up? It's a pub. We're going to drink, dance and have fun," Nina said, smiling like a Cheshire Cat. I didn't argue any further, simply because I knew it wouldn't change their decision and so, we proceeded to 'have fun'.

The moment I entered the dusty looking place, all my judgments about it were promptly thrown out of the window. There was a long corridor that we had to pass through, which was covered with different types of graffiti, the ceiling was painted with a shade of bright turquoise, and there were colored glass lanterns that hung on it. Overall, the place emitted a quirky and hippy vibe, which immediately drew me in.

We were greeted by a black door with various Tumblr quotes, written all over it as we reached the end of the corridor, and as soon as we stepped inside the stuffy room, the sound of a popular EDM song welcomed us. The rotating red, yellow and green disco lights flashed on us, and soon enough all my friends rushed towards the bar.

"I can't believe this place! Why don't we have something like this in our town?" Sarah exclaimed, while staring at the interior of the big hall in awe.

"Oh man, if we did, I would totally be a bartender at such a happening place." Arthur said, while grabbing a bottle of beer from the bartender.

"Well, too bad we don't, let's just enjoy what we got! You up for shots Bella?" Nathan asked, with a teasing smile. I knew that one too well, it wasn't just an ordinary innocent smile, it was a challenging one.

"Why wouldn't I be, Brown?" I wasn't going to back down from a challenge.

"Oh yes girl! C'mon, show this ass who's the man." Nina piped in, getting quizzical looks from all of us.

Nathan just shook his head and ordered four shots, since Nina doesn't drink. As soon as our order came in, we cheered loudly and drowned it all in one go. A burning sensation passed down my throat, but was soon replaced with adrenaline pumping through my veins. A crazy smile took over my features and feeling a bit risqué, I ordered a Long Island Ice Tea for myself.

"Look who's having a good time."

I turned back to come face to face with Talon, who wore a genuine smile on his face. I smiled back, and was about to say something back when someone beat me to it,

"I didn't know the soccer team is here." Sarah spoke up, her eyes scanning the room for someone. That irked me and my instant reaction was to spot Arthur, who had absolutely no emotion on his face and soon left to buy another drink.

I need to talk to this woman.

"More than half of our year is here, Sarah. Which reminds me, should I tell the lover boy you're here, Colours?" Talon teased me, causing me to roll my eyes and shove him playfully.

"No need, he'll find me." I winked at him and continued to sip my drink.
Talon just shrugs his shoulder and walks away, while saluting me. I turn to my left to talk to Arthur about Sarah, but the spot is empty. I guess he joined Nina and Nathan on the dance floor.

"Finish your drink sweetheart, we are going dancing after that," said Sarah. I glanced at my friend, shaking my head.

"Sarah, what are you doing?" I ask the question I've been itching to get an answer of since the past few days.

She looks at me with an uncomfortable smile and answers, "What do you mean?"

"With Gregg. What are you doing?"

Sarah just rolls her eyes. "Fucking around."

My face scrunches up at her crude response, I'm pretty sure the whole school knows that fact. "Last time wasn't enough for you?"

Her face immediately turns cold, and she looks at me with a cold expression. "I don't like him. You know that. I don't care about what you think. It's just sexual activity."

I sigh, exasperated at her behavior. "Why do you do it with him out of all the people? Why not someone better, someone who's not a jerk?"

"Like who? Arthur? You think I don't know? I'm not blind Bella." She retorts.

"Then why don't you see that you're hurting him."

She looks at me with a dejected smile. "Because I want him to move on. I don't love him Bella, I don't see him the way he sees me."

I close my eyes, deep down I kind of knew what she would say, I just hoped that it wouldn't be true. "But Gregg really? He could have STD's for all you know. That man has slept with half of the school!"

"Bella drop it. I'm not you, okay? I'm not the girl everyone wants. I take what I get."

With that, she leaves me standing there alone, with a drink in my hand. I just down the rest of my drink, my friend circle was far too complicated and for once, I wanted to not think about them or the competition, or Braydon. I just wanted to focus on me having a good time.

"Will you dance with me, beautiful?"

I smiled at the familiar voice and turned around, accepting his outstretched hand, I made my way to the dance floor, where all I wanted to do was lose myself in the music with Jake by my side.

1:16 a.m.

I locked my phone shut and zipped it back inside my sling bag. It was getting late, which definitely wasn't a good sign since our chances of getting  caught are increased. I had to find everyone and take them back to the motel, I could still see a couple of students from our school, loitering about but my friends were nowhere to be found.

After I danced with Jake, he got a call soon after from his coach so he excused himself and for some reason, I didn't see him after that. The thought of him leaving me like that unsettled me a bit, but then again, it was very unlike him to do that so I assumed it must be something important.

I was currently hanging out with a couple of my classmates from Micro Economics and had completely lost track of time, until now. Excusing myself from their scandalous gossiping, I went outside towards the lawn to search for Nina, Nathan and Sarah.

Arthur had left a while back with a bunch of others, stating that he was tired and needed his sleep. I could see right through his lies, though, I saw him chat up a girl from his homeroom before and knew that he just wanted to spend his time with her. Whatever the case may be, I was just glad that he was moving on.

Opening the huge glass door, I entered the lawn and breathed in the fresh air. It felt good to get out of that tiny space in there, the entire lawn was decorated with fairy lights and there were these cute paper lanterns that  hung down from the trees. It was brilliantly decorated.

Glancing to my right, I spotted a figure hunched over and sitting on the porch. From the small cloud of smoke, and the stench of tobacco that filled the air near them, I could tell that they were smoking. I walked towards them, and upon closer inspection immediately recognized them.

"So, music isn't your thing, huh?" I said, while plopping myself down on the porch with him.

Braydon shrugged while taking a drag from his cigarette. "I don't like that song, that's all."

I nodded and looked ahead. "What are you doing here anyway? Weren't you the guy who liked to be 'alone'? "

He smirked, shaking his head, and answered, "Talon dragged me to it, I had no intention to stay for long. Trust me."

"Why are you still here then?"

"Because I can't find the fucker who brought me here. Now can we stop with the 21 questions?"

He looked piqued by my curiosity, which I guess, could definitely bug anyone out, so I shut up and sat there. I didn't know how long we were sitting there in comfortable silence, but it must've been quite a bit because soon after Braydon shot up and held his hand out for me.

"C'mon Colours, it's time to go to bed."

I laughed but took his hand nonetheless, holding it tightly and walking towards the exit. It was a two minute walk to our motel, and Braydon made sure to drop me till my room, since he figured out I was slightly buzzed from before. It wasn't until I changed into my pyjamas and settled inside the cozy blanket that I realized an important thing-

I left my drunk friends at the bar.
