I was walking alongside the sword named excalibur while he was going on and on about how he couldn't find someone more fit than me to wield him

"This is outrageous!to think that I would be pulled out by a squire of all people"he said

"Thanks a lot mr I was asleep for who knows how long in the middle of the desert with no chance of anyone finding me"i retorted back to him

"I would have been found in a few more years give or take,I just had to be patient and someone would eventually come to get me

Now where are exactly in the desert?some sort of old temple?"

"I don't know what that is but I'm pretty sure it's not where we are right now,with the giant worm crawling around"

"You don't know what a temple is?have your parents not taught you anything?"asked me excalibur

"I never had parents,for as long as I can remember I was always alone in my world'i said

"what?this doesn't make a lick of sense!someone must have handled you when you were a baby,someone must have brought your food for you when you were still new born

"Really?I've been able to walk and talk for all I could remember,I did grow taller,that's something i remember

Other than that I've lived my life happily for years now"

Excalibur stayed silent while still hopping

"What place did you exactly come from?"

"I come from a planet of mine which is super tiny compared to this place we're in"

"And you lived your entire known life alone"he said

"Yup"i said

Excalibur then asked me another question

"Y/n how old are you?"he asked me

"Huh?what do you mean?"I asked him

He sighed

"For how long do you remember being alive?"he asked me

I started to think for a moment there

"How old am I?that's hard to tell,my days have been the same for as long as I can remember and I remember so many days in my life"

"So for all we know you could either be unbelievably young or unbelievably old"

"Probably"i said

Excalibur PoV:

This doesn't make any sense!!just what world does this child hail from that they never aged normally or took care of themselves their entire life?plus eith how he mentioned coming from a tiny world there are variables such as food and water that must be considered,like where would he get it from?

There must be an answer to this

"And what brought you to this world to begin with?"I asked them

"Well it all started when I was going out on a picnic to enjoy my day when all of a sudden a large crack appeared in the sky and before i knew it everything blew up

I then ended in a place that had debris of my home everywhere and thought I could live there which I did for a few days but then people suddenly attacked me out of nowhere

But I was then saved by mr vergil and we've been traveling together ever since  but then as we were walking he told me to cross the desert on my own and as I was running to the direction he went to but then this massive worm came out of the ground and swallowed me and spit me back out and while I walked around I fell down and finally met you"he explained

'Perhaps their guardian can shed more light onto what is happening with this child or maybe he's as clueless as I am'

Y/n PoV:

"Okay let us find a way out of here,perhaps we can track down that worm,I think I already have a plan"said excalibur as I kept walking when we then felt the ground around us shake

"This must be the giant worm!"I remarked

"Good!now is our chance!!now grab me!and when I tell you to stab the worm"

"Stab?"

"It means piercing it,like a knife in a cake!"

"Oh I see!!"I said as I stood in the corner in case it appeared behind me

I then felt the shaking come right in front of me as it got more and more noticeable and it then burst through

"NOW!!"shouted excalibur as I then stabbed the giant worm and I didn't realize that I was slicing until it inevitable pulled me long with I
"HOLD ON TIGHT SQUIRE!!"shouted excalibur as we were ascending through the ground until we finally got back to the surface as we got out and were instantly high above ground to the point I could see the forest ahead which wasn't really far

"WOOOOHOOOO!!!I CAN SEE THE FOREST!!!"I shouted

"DO NOT LET GO RIGHT NOW!!!"shouted excalibur

"WHAT HAPPENS IF I LET GO?!"I shouted back

"WE WILL FALL DOWN TO OUR DEMISE YOU FOOL!!"shouted excalibur

"Oh well then sorry about letting go"i said as we were now falling down to the desert as the worm noticed that and then reappeared again to swallow me whole

"NOT AGAIN!!"I shouted when all of a sudden I was caught and pulled away back to the ground as I was then thrown into the ground as I looked to see mr vergil

"Mr. Vergil!!"I cheered as I ran over to him to hug him but he held me off stopping by grabbing me from the head

"I am not dealing with this

Explain yourself and where did you get this blade?"he asked me when the worm appeared again

"I'll settle this first"he said as he ran straight to the worm as he then pulled out his sword and with several swings he cut the worm evenly into eight parts as it stopped moving

"It stopped!!"I said

"Follow me"he said as I did that while grabbing excalibur

We walked to where the desert ends as mr vergil turned to me

"Explain now"

"Well after you left me I had that giant worm follow me around which was really scary until it swallowed me whole and took me underground where I met excalibur"i said

"Excalibur you say?the holy sword that belonged to king Arthur?"he asked me

"I don't know!"

"Yes the one and only except I do not remember any person named arthur"said excalibur

"Well that is quite curious,to think the mightiest of all holy swords would be here

Well then,this means you do not need my protection anymore"

"Wait but you said you'd take me to a city though!"I remarked

"I did

But I lied,and you have the greatest of all holy swords besides you to assist you after all"he said as he pulled out his long sword and turned around

"Wait but I have questions about this child that I need you to answer!"said excalibur

Mr vergil then proceeded to cut the air in a cross which opened a large crack which is somehow similar to the one in my home but also different in the feeling it sent to me

"I will answer those questions when I either kill this child the next time we meet

Or when they kill me"he said as he then stepped in and it closed down in front of him

I turned fo excalibur as I started shaking

I was alone again

"W-w-w-w-what are we going to do now!we're all on our own!"I said

"Do not sorry squire,I will personally supervise your training until you rank from a squire to a knight!"he announced proudly

I felt myself calm down a little

"Yeah!let's do this!"

"Good!now start by carrying me from here to the nearest fountain"said excalibur

"What's that?

He sighed

"This will be a long journey"
