(Hello World! It's been a while since I've written in this.
A while ago, I don't know if anyone remembers, but a Hermitcraft god AU was brought up on Discord and I remember writing a lot about the concept but feeling very unmotivated to actually write it. So I sort of scrapped the idea and kept a few pieces around for later. Maybe for an original story.
But for now, since the topic was brought up, and I miss writing poetry, (and writing in general considering how much I've been drawing a lot) I decided to write a poem based on the story I had for this god AU. The poem was also slightly influenced by this song, We Rule The World, by the amazing Phil Lober.)

We don't know how this world came to be
All we know is that it was ours
We built the world and gifted the life
We ruled the world

But we eventually went too far
And the cost was
our power
Memories from unknown times attacked our minds
We lost control

One day we woke up to a lost world.
But, somehow, we knew it was ours
And we weren't alone
Across the world
We all woke up
We will wake up

We'll travel the skies and the seas
Just to reach each other
We'll face hardship
but never alone

One day, we'll stand atop a statue
Built just for us
And watch the sunset
In our world
Together
We rule this world
