"Wow it's so beautiful." Said Ami looking at the glistening blue sea. They had only just arrived. Even though at the beach Kei was still texting on her phone. Tomoe and Mizuki did end up coming with the four girls but Tomoe didn't look happy about being there. Mizuki was of course still smiling like a goof ball. Hikari was in a light blue bikini that Kei had lent her. It went well with the colour of her eyes. Nanami had no a cute bikini with green, red and orange bubbles on it. She had said that it was the same one she had borrowed from Kei last tome the came to the beach. Just as Tomoe had promised that morning he had used his transformation magic to make Hikari's infection vanish. She could almost imagine that it was gone completely but she knew that was stupid. Tomoe had simply hidden it not got rid of it. Ami was the only one in a swimsuit which Kei seemed fine with.

"Why exactly are you fine with Ami wearing a swimsuit but not me?" She asked Kei angrily.

"Because Ami has nothing to put in a bikini like that, she's so flat chested. Plus she looks cute in it but it you wore something like that it would just look weird. Listen you have a body that most mean will drool over so why not show it off?"

"Because I'm not that kind of girl." She responded in a huff.

"Well I think you look good in it." Said Mizuki with a smile. "Don't you Tomoe?" He said turning to the fully dressed fox who had been looking Hikari up and down the whole time. He seemed to snap put of whatever day dream he was in when he noticed everyone but Kei, who was still on her phone, staring at him.

"It makes no difference to me what she is wearing." He said forcing himself to look away from her. She didn't know why but him saying that hurt Hikari, it sent a small pain through her chest. It was just like being rejected but then again she couldn't be rejected by someone she didn't love, but if she didn't love Tomoe then why did him saying that hurt so much. Was she falling for Tomoe? Or had it already happened?

"Come on let's go in the sea." Said Nanami wanting to cheer her down trodden friend up. Hikari smiled at her and Nanami took her hand and the four girls left for the sea.

"You really are ridiculous Tomoe." He said with a sly smile.

"I am not."

"Why can you not just admit that you thought she looked good?"

"Because I do not."

"So why stare at her like that?"

"I was not...shut up snake!" He said in a rage. Mizuki smiled to the side at him.

"Well I think I will do explore since there is nothing to do here anyway." And with that he left Tomoe alone...

Nanami and Hikari sat side by side on the rock pools. They were at the bottom of a cliff and there were many small caves behind them. Ami and Kei had left a while ago to go and get ice cream. They had been playing in the water all morning and were feeling pretty tired. They had all decided to pick a place far away from everyone else and especially Tomoe's grumpy eyes, he had been grumpy ever since they got there. Mizuki had gone off somewhere and still wasn't back, god knows where he had gone.

"Are you feeling better now Hikari?" Nanami asked.

"I never felt ill." She replied feeling confused.

"Not that kind of ill. When Tomoe said that it made no difference to him what you wore you looked really hurt."

"Oh...I wasn't I'm fine honestly." She said with a reassuring smile.

"It's okay Hikari. If you love Tomoe that's okay too."

"I-I don't l-love him." She stuttered and Nanami smiled.

"It really not like you to stutter. I understand how you feel I love him too but I would be very happy if you and Tomoe got together."

"Why?"

"Because you always seemed so alone. I get that I am here but there is only do much a best friend can give you. If you and Tomoe do get together just promise me that you will look after him."

"I would of course but weather or not I have feeling for him is irrelevant. Nothing will happen between us, that I am certain."

"Hikari why do you hate men so much?"

"I don't hate them I just don't really like them. I guess I'm scared."

"What are you scared of?"

"Falling in love. It is such a useless emotion it only opens you up to a lot of pain."

"Yes but it also opens up a lot of happiness and laughter. If you really do love him and the chance comes...take it..for me too."

"Nanami I couldn't..."

"Hikari you have given up so much for me. Please don't give Tomoe up too." Hikari thiught for a moment and then said...

"Okay Nanami...I...I won't." Nanami smiled at the but then the rocky floor beneath then became like water and the two sunk through the no longer solid rock and down into the black abyss below...
