you stood beside toriel, no longer knowing what was going on around you, the noise faded out, the shuffling of feet going deaf to your ears, only one thing flowed through your veins, one thing was on your mind. anger. why were you angry? well, that's easy to answer, in the center of the shuffling crowd was a burly man, wearing a black shirt with it's sleeves ripped off, a pair of muddy brown jeans torn at the cuffs, dirty combat boots showed,

 this...this was the same man that burst through the nice cream parlor around a month ago, you knew that, it wasn't just the man though, a couple of monsters were trapped in with him, a small, light blue whimsun and a green froggit, the people didn't seem to want to interfere so you growled, not sure if you yourself wanted to do something, it was only when the man spoke, that you decided "heh, you monsters don't belong here, i'm gonna show you, all of you, why"

  he took a step forward towards the monsters, but your mind was made up, racing out of the crowd you stood in front of the man, facing him, your hands balled into fists and you spread your legs apart slightly, you heard shouts from your family and friends to come back, but right now, you didn't care for your safety, these monsters needed someone to help them, and apparently, for now, that person was you, you narrowed your eyes and frowned, the man grinned "move aside little lady, i've got business to do," 

  oh...did he just say what you thought he said? he isn't drunk this time, guess he'll just be able to feel pain now, you pursed your lips, slightly smiling, but it was devoid of kindness and mercy "heh, no way buddy, you think i'm just gonna let you hurt these monsters? not gonna happen, what on earth did they ever do to you?" the man chuckled, making your emotionless smile turn into a scowl, "what did they do? they exist here that's what."

  anger flooded through you but you kept a measured face, though you turned on your mom-mode voice, but it was a tad different, more harsh, strict, and crisp, you've never used this voice while talking to your siblings, only to your 'parents' "so. They, exist? is that it?" the man feigned thoughtfulness and replied "yep, they should've stayed in their mountain, it's where trash like them belong" 

  he gives you a smug smile, making your anger boil over, though, no one saw exactly how angry you were, in fact, as you took a deep breath, and relaxed your hands, most would think that you would back down, but the muskets knew better, from the corner of your eye you saw Elijah tense if only slightly, you another deep breath "alright, i can't help if you think that way"

  the man's posture relaxed, like you knew it would, however the anger was still very much there and so, you ran at the man surprising everyone into silence, everyone stopped whispering, everyone stopped moving, and when you used your shoulder to push him back, the man was pushed back alright, by that you mean he was pushed several feet, and landed on his back, the wind knocked out of him, you straightened up and looked around you,

 pulling your hoodie up when you saw a few cameras, the last thing you needed right now was your secret found out, you turned back to the man still on the ground, everyone still silent, wondering what you would say "but, i CAN help if you try to hurt monsters, how about, and i mean all of you, think about the worst place or predicament you've been in, you don't want to relive it or go back to it, right?" you glanced around seeing more then a few heads bobbing up and down

  "well, the rest is quite simple, monsters have been in that mountain for generations upon generations, and now that they're free, they don't want to go back, and would you? would you want to be forced to go back to that place in your life, many of you wouldn't without a fight...well, I'M fighting for the monsters, if any of you do to, you'll join me, if not, then i'll fight alone" 

  you stood in the silence for a good 10 seconds before four figures came and stood next to you, the muskets, after they stopped beside you, more people came forward, and before long most of the people in the crowd were standing behind you, and in front of the two small monsters that had been in danger of being killed,

 you took a glance behind you and grinned, turning back around, you walked to the man still laying on the ground, you know knew this was one of jabberjay's hench-men, he had recovered and and started to sit up, you stopped right in front of him, he stared at the people behind you, his eyes widening slightly, you grinned "if you, or anyone you know, tries to hurt any more monsters, i won't be as nice...capiche?"

 the man blinked, then scowled, muttering "you'll pay for this" stood up, and walked off, you watched him go and only turned around when you felt a tap on your shoulder, a middle-aged woman stood in front of you and smiled kindly when you looked up at her, "thank you young lady, i wanted to step in myself, but i'm afraid i wouldn't do as good of a job, my name is Mariana"

  you smiled "y/n" two more people were stepping forward, however they were covered with news equipment, you took a quick breath and backed away, looking at Mariana "it was nice to meet you, i gotta go, goodbye!" you took one last look, turned around, and ran for it, spotting your friends and family a ways away, you changed your direction and came to a stop when you were within speaking distance, 

  the news people looking wildly for you, talking to Mariana "y/n? are you ready to go?" toriel asked you nodded and kept your hoodie up as you walked away from the park, you found rose had linked arms with you, and was smiling proudly you chuckled "why the smile rose?"

  rose looked up at you her eyes shining, she unlinked your arms to sign 'because i've got the bestest sister ever!" you smiled "oh? i guess frisk is pretty awesome" frisk looked at you and smiled at your praise, rose however, had a look of disbelief on her face 'yeah frisk's cool, but it's YOU sis, you're the bestest' you chuckled "why is that?" rose narrowed her eyes, frisk looked at her and smiled, rose looked at frisk and they seemed to say something between them with their eyes, when rose faced you again, and signed

'because you stand for what you believe in, even when no one stands with you, you always know what to say, always know what to do, THAT'S why you're the bestest' your smile turned sheepish and you let out another chuckle, rose linked arms with you again and linked her other with frisk's, you just walked on, following toriel and the boys, thinking 

'i don't always know what to do rose, but for the sake of you and the boys, i'll do my absolute best to do so'
