Revealed

You tried to kick yourself free of the two guards who were holding you by your forearms but as they were taller than you. You couldn't and it didn't help that they had attached a strange anklet that canceled your magick no matter how hard you tried to summon it.

'So flipping close' You thought bitterly.

You had underestimated the staff here entirely. After you ran out, there were five buff men waiting already and while you managed to knock out three of them, using their own strength against them. However, you were no match for the other two. Now, they were taking you to who knows where.

It didn't help that Gloria was totally shell-shocked. The words she said were still rumbling inside your head. You, powerful? Seriously? That little trick you pulled had been because your emotions went haywire, the same thing happened when you burst out of Warrior's hold on your soul when she threatened to kill your family.

The two guys holding you above the ground turned down multiple hallways that left your head spinning. Finally, they opened a door and what you saw looked achingly familiar to the training ground you saw Warrior using.

The only difference? More than thirty Cowls were in the room. Just standing there.

They all turned around when the door slammed shut and started murmuring to each other. Your eyes darted through the entire congregation. Seeing all types of cat and owl variations. A cheetah and Great grey, a lion and great horned, tiger and whiskered screech. Your eyes couldn't see them all and your head couldn't process that there were more people like you.

"Amazing isn't it?" A chilling voice boasted. You slowly turned your head towards Cain.

"..."

"Of course, you should be the one leading them. Since you were the first." He gave you the side-eye his cold stare boring into your own. (F/c) sparked in your crystal and the entire Cowl population jumped back like they were shocked.

You continued your little staring contest until Cain strode forward and snapped his fingers.

"Start the program." He ordered.

Two men and a woman in lab coats and glasses ran to a large metal box at one end of the room and started fiddling around with it while Cain addressed the group of altered Humans.

"I hope you all have liked the first impression number zero has performed and are excited for what is about to happen." The crowd slowly affirmed, sounding a little more scared than anything.

You were brought up, still held above the floor, and dropped unceremoniously onto the ground in front of a black door. The beefed-up dudes returned to a place beside Cain and a Plexiglas box lowered. You whipped your tail around and once the cage touched the ground the anklet popped off.

Surprised that your magick filled your reserve so quickly you prepared to lob a volley of Owl Claws but Cain raised his hand. He was smiling.

You shoved the magick back as far as you could after sensing a trap. But it was too late. The black door opened and you saw a machine frighteningly similar to the one that changed your life forever roll out and charge up. There was a hole carved to fit perfectly for it to shoot.

"You know, the original purpose for this creation was to dislocate the limbs without human contact for interrogation purposes, but on that fateful day when you broke into my shed...Well, you opened a whole hallway of possibilities." Cain informed.

You took a shaky step back and looked to the right seeing all the Cowls watching in awe, as if they've never seen someone like you.

"I've modified the design since then, if you'll cooperate, I promise no harm will come to your family." You scoffed and glared at him through the slightly foggy plastic.

"Like you could. My friends would never let you lay a hand them. You'd get blasted, impaled, and turned to ashes before you spoke one word." Your voice sounded stronger than you felt, but it had the effect you wanted. The Cowls shuffled uneasily glancing at each other and whispering.

Cain narrowed his cold grey-blue eyes and nodded once. Signaling the scientists to push a few more buttons. The gadget whirred a little more loudly and you stared straight at the center where a bright white glow resonated through the metal.

Now, fear was a common thing you felt when the topic of Cain came up. Anger was another one. Both went hand in hand. Not this time. This time you felt a strange sense of calm. You didn't know what this thing would do, knowing Cain it wasn't good, but as it gained so much energy that particles started to drift towards it, you got into a battle stance and let something happen that you were always afraid to try.

Let loose.

You knew, from the first day you found you could do things normal people couldn't with your magick, that you were dangerous. The main reason you kept your necklace on 24/7 was that you never got to know your full potential, and never wanted to try again. It nearly killed your siblings.

You wondered... Was that what Gloria was talking about? The words she said, they had stirred up memories and made you remember why you even have your crystal in the first place. Yeah, it was a normal plastic thing you had gotten from some gift shop, but it was your leash. One to hide the fact that you weren't normal.

A loud, sharp crack resounded through your cage and you saw one expression flit across Cain's face you had thought you would never see again...Worry.

Tendrils expelled from your very being (F/c) mist surrounding them. Your eyes felt white-hot but you were fully conscious and felt very, very in control. The machine sputtered, then the energy it was gathering leaked across the floor. You heard shouts of despair and slowly looked to the side. Cowls were shaking, most of them on their knees. You couldn't understand why.

You looked down and saw that your crystal had one large split down in a jagged spiral. That's new. Magick filled your veins and a dark presence stood right outside the box.

"Where was this back in the human city?" Warrior called. You looked up and straightened. Your face burned, so you kept it emotionless and quiet.

Warrior smirked and summoned a Crow Claw. You looked at it and a tendril shot out to disintegrate it. Melting the Plexiglas.

Warrior looked at her hand then back at you. The tendril slid back to its spot right beside you. You were certain that if someone took a picture, you would've looked like a white and (F/c) Slender woman...Without the slender. It wasn't like you grew.

The magick stayed with you as you took one step, then another. You felt heavy and light at the same time, your fur and feathers stood on end with energy and small crackles like lightning arched over separate bristles. As you neared the wall, it started to melt, then evaporated.

Warrior took several steps back and everyone else in the room fell down, including Cain.

"W-What is this?" Warrior stuttered looking frightened for a fleeting second. Then, she cackled.

"This is exactly what I wanted!" She crouched down and all the shadows in the room seemed to bend towards her. Her eyes looked wild, and her body was engulfed in such a rich black that it seemed to swallow light.

A shiver went down your spine, and you could feel the Shadows' power strengthen. Then realized something even more horrible. Warrior was the Shadows. Well, you always knew that, but it seemed that she wasn't like some kind of henchman...She was the physical embodiment of the Shadows.

Once the black receded from her form, she looked totally different. For one, she wasn't Cowl dipped in punk emo sludge anymore. She was a monster that seemed to be chiseled straight from obsidian. She towered over everyone in the room, even on all fours. Her hands were now like dragon claws. Huge and ferocious.

You took a step back. Cain raised to his feet and demanded: "What are you!?" Warrior looked at him as if he was a bug.

"I have what I want. Mortal." She said in a horrible rumbling voice that shook the ground. She directed her attention back to you and grinned.

"So, chosen one of the light, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. Both have you and your world charred and dead so whichever works fine." You took another step back. What the what!?

"Your protector has kept you away from me for too long... Once I'm finished here, I'll go and deal with her. So give in." You closed your hand into a fist and willed for ten Boom kitties to appear, they did before you finished your thought. Warrior eyed them.

"No." You commanded.

You weren't sure what this whole 'chosen one' business was about, you've read enough fantasy books to know it wasn't something to be tossed around lightly. But if the Shadows were planning on torching your home, and you, why give her what she wanted? You didn't move as the BKs rushed around and under Warrior, sparking.

Your magick expanded, and you spread out your wings. Unknowing where this strange calm was coming from, usually, you wouldn't be like this.

Saving the questions for later, you silently commanded the Bks to explode. When they did Warrior winced, but slashed forwards with a dragon claw and you had to jump back to avoid it.

You heard a scream and instinctively looked behind you to find the other Cowls shakily getting up and back to the far end of the room. You locked eyes with one that had a Lynx and Borrowing Owl mix and he froze. You broke the contact when Warrior nearly sliced you in half and ducked.

Once again cursing yourself to not have enough training, and variety of weapons, an Owl Claw vaporized into your hand and when Warrior made her next strike you dug the hook into the blacker than black forearm and let her swing you up into the air.

Flapping your wings once, twice, three times, you ripped the Claw out and threw it into the fiery eyes of Warrior. Earning an ear-splitting screech. Something strange happened though, something unexpected. A bright light emerged from where the Owl Claw struck Warrior and transformed into a small ball no bigger than a fist swirling around her head and flitting right towards you.

'(Y/n)' a soft voice echoed, making the Shadow monster cower. The ball of light stayed right in front of your face and you had a strange sense that it was where the voice was coming from.

'(Y/n), you are more powerful then you've ever realized, even now, you've unlocked something major that you had hidden from yourself. But you are not quite ready yet, I'm sorry, but this must be done for this plan to work.'

You never got to ask what it meant before the ball of light shot forward and connected with your head. Making the world twist and turn.

Next thing you knew,  you were in a field. A giant willow tree stood tall right in front of you and a memory struck you like a brick.

~

"where in the world am I?" I asked myself.

"Outside your world." Came the answer, I whirled around and saw a figure with shiny white hair, wearing a robe of royal purple that faded into bright turquoise at the hem.

The cloak looked about three sizes too big and when the figure assumed focus, they didn't seem more than fifteen. With youthful amethyst eyes, a mild case of acne, and a smile that stretched out across their face in a friendly manner.

They were taller than me, by about two maybe three inches, but seemed so innocent and cute that they appeared shorter.

"W-Who-" I started, staring at the sudden person. Last I remembered, I made The Shadows that were bugging Chara to disappear.

"Who am I?" They interrupted, their voice sounding female. Her smile only widened.

"Oh, just someone who adores your work, you know, the way you handle things is truly marvelous." I blinked and she fumbled with the sleeves of the robe.

"You won't remember being here or meeting me, but take my hand and you'll be fine." She offered a pale hand her wrist decorated with an assortment of bracelets and hair ties.

The last I remembered I grabbed her hand and I was on the tan couch of the Dreemurr's home:

"What Just Happened?"

~

"So, here you are again!" The girl with the robe piped up, not looking a day older than when you last saw her. She was sitting in the tree kicking her legs into the air and making the cloth flutter around her.

"Who are you?" You asked the girl merely giggled.

"I told you already, just someone who admires you. But enough with this chit-chat." She swung off the tree and landed gracefully on the grass.

She came forward and spread out her hands... At least you think she did, the sleeves were hanging off her fingertips by a few inches.

"You heard me before I summoned you here right? That little ball of light that had Ms. Shadows all trembling?" She said this light-heartedly but it only confused me.

"The stuff about me being more powerful then I thought?" You answered uncertainly. The young girl nodded her head.

"Right now, I'm controlling your body by using a little bit of my own powers, just so that Warrior doesn't kill you. But man!" She started clapping and jumping up and down.

"That release of magick? That was Awesome!! Who knew you had it in you? Well, besides me of course." You blinked and shook your head.

"What...?" The girl opened her mouth to say something but took one look and your baffled expression and stopped bouncing, rolled up her sleeves and clasped her hands in front of her... To which the sleeves fall back down covering them up again.

"Okay. You need answers, and unlike every other book out there, I'm gonna give them to you. You, my dear (Y/n), are not just a Cowl, you are kinda sorta a person that I chose because I knew what kind of a heart you have. The whole 'your protector has kept you from me for too long' part of the Shadows' speech, well, I'm your so-called 'protector' I have been watching you, and made sure everything went according to plan and made sure that you were safe with your family." She smiled and you started to ease up, even though it was still kinda confusing having all this happen way too fast.

"I also made sure that you would have some sort of a normal life. Siblings to care for, a boyfriend to love, a stable place you call home. Of course, now that's gonna have to change for just the tiniest bit. Because I need you now."

Shock burst through you and you looked around, hoping that someone else was with the two of you. But no such luck.

"Why me?" You asked after turning back around. The girl's smile turned grim.

"Believe me when I say if I could do this alone I would. I would turn you back to a normal human and let you live the rest of your life without any complications, but Warrior is making that quite hard. It's not just your world she has infected. It's hundreds of Alternate Universes that have the Star Sanses working round the clock. But her source is here. This is where she started. And now, she has revealed herself. It's only a matter of time before Warrior wins."

You just stood there, trying to make sense of this all. You just decided to roll with it.

"Hold up. You're saying that you need me to save the world?" The white-haired female chuckled.

"Heavens above no! I'm not gonna send you to do something like that. That a job for experienced fighters" She squared her shoulders and a sudden feeling of energy you've never felt before swirled around the field making the grass wave in a small whirlwind.

"But I am asking for help, I'll give you all the necessary things you will need. I will do whatever I can. I just need an extra hand," For emphasis, she waved her covered hands around her, flopping the extra fabric and accidentally whacked herself in the face. One of her eyes closed from the impact and the grass stopped moving to give the previous impression of a naive, childlike, teenager. You had to cough back a chuckle.

"Anyway," She resumed her composure, "You have the option to say no, of course, you were dragged into this by you so-called 'father' if you want. I could probably take away your powers, your add-ons, and return you to your human state. I could direct all of Warrior's attention to someone completely different, I could and will do all that if you think you can't handle this." You were about to say something when she spoke again.

"And this isn't a trick, by the way, I can legit make so you and your family are never bothered again by Cain or Warrior." While it was something that was never offered to you, and yes, it struck you hard. You couldn't help but ask:

"How old are you?"

The girl looked confused for a moment, like she hadn't exactly been expecting that, but it was soon replaced with a smile.

"Fifteen. But don't worry I'm perfectly capable-" You interrupted her, because you had too.

"FIFTEEN?! You can't even drive yet, and you're saying that you can do all of that? You can reverse something I've been living with for five years? AND you're gonna take on a beast that you say has been terrorizing entire universes?!" The girl kept her smile and nodded.

"Yes, now dear (Y/n)-"

"You're saying that you, a minor, is able to take all of this crap away from me. That you can help my problem in a blink of an eye and everything with it and I'll get to live a normal life?!"

"(Y/n)-"

"There's no way that can happen, I'm pretty sure I've tried all the possible ways to get rid of this. One of them almost killed my siblings, so don't give me hope because that's just-"

A sudden flash of energy flared from the girl, shutting you up. The robe transformed into a kind of cape that leaders in old wars would wear to show their status. A light cream-colored tunic and dark leggings with umber boots were underneath. The power that you had felt before came back in ten-fold the strength it was. When the light dimmed down, you could see the girl's eyes pure silver, and her white hair flowing all on its own, she was also now floating above the ground just a little. With the new get-up, and magick emanating from her, you could only feel intimidated.

"I said I am perfectly capable to handle myself." She boomed, her voice echoing in the vast field, making it sound like multiple people were speaking.

"I know what I can do, what you need to worry about is if you want to help me or not." You froze.

What should you say?
