you started to pet chara's head for she had just fallen asleep, and you saw gaster and sans exit the kitchen and while sans sat down on the couch next to you, gaster made his way toward the front door, until you called out "hey, gaster, where are you going?" gaster turned around and said "I'm going to alphy's lab, I need to talk to her about something" 

you nodded, smiled and said "oh, ok, tell her I said hi" gaster nodded and walked out closing the door behind him, you could feel someone looking at you so you turned your head toward sans and found him looking at you, sans gave you one of his famous smiles and said "why are skeletons so calm?" you smiled you knew where this was going, 

"I don't know sans, why?" sans' smile widened as he said "because...nothing gets under their skin!" at this pap came into the living room from his place in the kitchen and shouted, waking up all but one of the muskets, "SANS WHY DO YOU INSIST TO MAKE TERRIBLE PUNS?!" you laughed making sans' smile widen and pap shouted once again

 "OLDER HUMAN DON'T ENCOURAGE HIM!" sans just said "oh c'mon bro, didn't I tickle your funny Bone?" Pap threw his arms in the air and stormed off to his room, agrain soon joined him, knowing what was going to happen, and soon after both you and sans were in a pun war, of course, they were skeleton puns

"why don't skeletons fight each other?"

"they don't have the guts"

"how did you know?" 

"oh, i felt it in my bones"

it went down like this for a while, until both you and sans had extinguished all of the skeleton puns, in which took a very long time, the remaining muskets tried to jump in once or twice but they always were out-punned by either you or sans, after the war, sans had rung victorious, with you a very close second,

 chara had slept through the entire war and was still sleeping with a hand over her feather, as that's how she slept now, after you and sans had diverted from pun-warring agrian had poked his head out of pap's room and back again and after a few minuets both agrian and pap had emerged from the room and pap hurried to the kitchen to start dinner,

~<~<~<~Gaster's pov~>~>~>~ 

after i walked into alphys' lab, alphys was no where to be found, after a little bit of searching, i found her in the true lab right next to the machine that had exploded the first time we had turned it on, apparently she is trying to fix it "hello alphys" alphys jerked up, not expecting someone to be next to her, and almost dropped what she was working on

"o-oh! g-gaster, y-you s-scared me, i-is t-there s-something i-i can h-help you w-with?" she said in her normal stuttering i nodded and replied "yes, in fact there is, it's about y/n's powers," alphys immediately sets down what she was working on and says "really? what about y/n's powers? did something happen to them?" her stutter gone, as a result in talking about something she was very intrigued about, i smiled and shrugged "actually, i don't know, it seems her powers are growing" alphys cocked her head to the side "how so?" i shrugged again

~<~<~<~time skip, your pov.~>~>~>~

After chara woke up, you had dinner and sent the muskets to bed, you had received a text from mom that she was going to pick up azzy, chara, and frisk in the morning, chara had been quiet for the most part but as you were tucking everyone in she asked a question "sis, who was that man?" you paused for a moment glancing around  and you saw everyone looking at you with apprehension, 

you sighed, sat back and thought for a minute, the man did look faintly familiar, you swear you'd saw those red eyes before, that's when it hit you, he was at the old lab checking up on your 'dad' and his work, you frowned, but said "that man, I think, is one of cain's partners, an ally, I remember he came by one time, to check on cain, and he didn't know about me, so cain stuffed me in a closet, heh, guess he forgot I had cat ears"

 chara nodded, smiled, and laid down in her covers, you sang them a lullaby and went into your room,  where your own covers were waiting, you crawled into them and feel asleep, and into somewhere you haven't been before...

you were in a dark space, much like Dreamland, but smaller, you looked around and some instinct told you to go forward, so you did, you walked for about two minutes when you saw something, or rather someone, as you walked closer you realized it was another sans version, this one having a little gold band around his skull, a yellow cape that had a sun in the center, clasped with a light red gem with a white five-point star in the center, yellow gloves, a belt with the letters DS on it a blue top with a white stripe down the middle, slightly darker blue pants, yellow boots with blue strips, and yellow pin-pricks to signify his 'eyes' you could also see he had a staff with two stars at the ends and he was holding it in a apprehensive way

 as you drew nearer you could see this sans was very worried about something and he didn't even see you as you drew nearer, as he kept pacing, you wondered what was on his mind, You decided you would like to find out so you said "Hello? who are you?" The sans jumped, and looked at you, then he broke into a smile he replied "oh, hello, my name's Dream Sans, you must be y/n" you knitted your eyebrows

 "how do you kno-" Dream interrupted you "ink told me about you, but i'm afraid i have to cut this short, you see, something is coming and it's not the nicest, in fact, it's the exact opposite" you grinned slightly and said "well, consider me warned, thanks" Dream smiled, but then you sensed something coming behind you and turned around, you saw what looked like a sans except he was completely black with one blue eye, and a pure white smile that contrasted greatly against his body, and he had trails of black that floated behind him

as he was walking casually toward you and when Dream saw him, he placed himself in front of you, holding his staff now in a defensive position as this sans saw Dream do this he stopped, and his smile widened ever so slightly, you could see now that the trails of black, that were attached to his back waved about and around him as he said "well, well, well, who do we have here? i was looking for you brother, care if we have a chat?" suddenly

 (a/n PINEAPPLES!!! thought i forgot? nah)

Dream and the other sans were in a FIGHT, you took several steps back and Dream said, looking around him, "it doesn't look like i have much of a choice, sure" you watched in horror as the other sans started throwing attacks, all of them just barely not touching Dream as he dodged them, this continued to come to pass as the two sanses started talking, well, more like the dark sans was interrogating Dream, you managed to catch the other sans's name which was Nightmare 

in what seemed the middle of the battle, Nightmare seemed to be winning, dream was starting to grow tired and you could tell he may not last any longer, before you could make a move however, something like a portal came right behind Nightmare, and out came a very confused mel, but she took one look at Nightmare and the confused expression became one of anger, 

she charged toward Nightmare and summoned the little ball of light that you had seen just last night, the little ball of light whizzed to Nightmare and turned to an angry red, red electricity shot from it and hit Nightmare square in the back, Nightmare, enraged, turned around and when he sees mel, his anger seemed to over flow, so much that his voice glitched slightly, much like error's "i thought I GoT rid of YoU" he switched his attacks toward mel, and the little ball of light, still an angry red, rushed to mel's aid, and you tried to as well, 

but as you neared a wall appeared and blocked your path, as walls do, mel tried her best at dodging all of the attacks but a few were able to nip at her, Nightmare being (if possible) angered even more by this, increased his attacks until, mel was struck down with several bones that simply couldn't be avoided, she stumbled back more of shock then anything else, you clenched your jaw and took several steps back as Nightmare walked forward to finish mel off, which, or course, you were not going to let happen,

 you summoned a tnt kitty and pointed at the translucent wall, the tnt kitty ran and exploded making a hole in the wall, just as Nightmare readied an attack you charged through the hole and from your eyes, f/c and indigo flames emitted, you placed yourself in front of mel and said defiantly "if you want mel, you're gonna have to get through ME" Nightmare's smile faltered and he seemed to be considering something, he finally said "this is not over"

and in a flash he was gone, you turned to mel when you made certain that Nightmare wasn't coming back and found her with wounds spilling blood and dust(?) on the dark floor when you kneeled beside her the ground around you turned a more light grey, just like your Dream Space you checked on mel's HP and the results were not at all good

feeling suddenly scared, you placed a hand on mel's arm and closed your eyes in concentration, from outside of your eye lids f/c flames swirled around mel healing anything they touched, when you finished you opened your eyes and found mel looking at you with a thankful smile, you smiled back and helped her up, Dream was nowhere to be found and you felt the slight tug that came before you went to the button room,

 you widened your eyes and in a flash both you and mel were in the button room, mel looked around and when her gaze reached the glowing buttons she stared, you looked at the Dreamland button and found it almost completely cracked the big crack had grown and a jagged line went in between the letters M and L you looked at the Life button and found it completely fine, you lightly tapped it and you heard a whooshing sound and you felt your self waking up but before you did so completely.....

you heard the sound of cracking and the shattering of glass under immense pressure...

(A/n IIIIIIII'MMMMMMM SOOOOOOOOO SOOOOORRRRRRYYYYYYYY i'm a horrible author i haven't updated in a. whole. freaking. MONTH. and i have an excuse, but i'm not gonna use it, why? because, excuses get you no where, ok, so, on another note, about three weeks ago, my fic was rated #814 in ALL of fanfiction, and just a day ago it was bumped up to #661 in ALL of fanfiction, you should've seen my reaction when i saw it was rated #814, and when it was rated #661 i screamed till my voice was sore, the next A/N will show you that (next time i update) and then, there are the reads................
