in the darkness that was under your eye lids you felt serene, completely calm, uncaring, you let your body go limp on the couch, as you did, you thought about your life so far, how it came to you sitting on a couch that didn't belong to you, the first thing that came into your mind was a picture, or rather a frozen memory, in it there was a younger version of you sitting next to your 'father' a hand placed on his, and head looked up at him, a smile stretched across your face and it looked bright and cheery, your eyes twinkling, your 'dad's' head was turned to face yours, a smile was on his face as well, and his light blue eyes were kind, loving, and protective,

  you exhaled deeply remembering that once, your father was a kind man, not perfect, but kind... that all changed when you found out he was using animals, and you changed as well, after that happened, your 'dad' had turned around like a ballerina doing a pivot, another frozen memory appeared and it showed your wings spread across your siblings so they wouldn't see, you were screaming in anger, as tears streamed down your face, your ears folded against the back of your head, your tail frozen in mid-swish in front of you, your father was holding a bat and your mother was across the room holding a knife in one hand, and a beer bottle in the other,

  behind your wings were your slightly beaten brothers, blood was dripping from agrian's nose, and Elijah was badly bruised, rose, rose wasn't touched, the brothers protected her, standing in the way of your 'parents' so they wouldn't hurt her, the memory drained of color and the next frozen memory was when you were moving out of the house to an apartment to be closer to the lab that the government wanted your 'dad' to work, that took you to Mt. Ebott City, you had figured out how to apply your magick shield and when you reached the city, you and your siblings attended school, you had the highest grades of all, passing all of your classes,

  you reached college work when you were just 16, that same year the barrier broke, your 'dad' despised the monsters, your 'mom' not sober enough to care, you and your siblings never met them, but you saw them as a people just trying to fit back into the world that had changed so much, you cared for them, and since your siblings looked up to you more then anyone else, they liked them too, that earned you a lot of bullies, though, since you had the highest marks in P.E you were able to get yourself and the muskets out of tough situations,

  the next frozen memory showed you meeting jabberjay for the first time, the coloring wasn't there, everything was black and white, making it an unwanted memory, one that you deeply regret having, he was in his usual shabby clothing, black leather jacket tied around his waist since it was a hot day, you were talking to him at the park, walking around, the next memory had a bit of color, as that was the day jabberjay asked you to be his girlfriend, though you never thought what was going to come after you said 'yes' he used you, trying to get you to steal from your 'father', he never found out about your add-ons, and still has no clue to this day,

  that memory faded and another black and white one took it's place, it was the day your 'mom' got the news that your 'dad' had died, she wouldn't come out of her room for days, always shouting from within it, that memory faded once again replaced with another, this one however, was a bit more colorful, this...this memory contained the day when you smacked jabberjay in the face with a frying pan, oh that was a good one,

  you smiled at the scene, your face was filled with anger and the fairly big pan you were holding was frozen on jabberjay's face, a couple of his hench men were sitting on the table, completely flabbergasted, the memory faded and you were met with the inky blackness of your eyelids, until a bright memory came up, it was full of color and it showed you on the sidewalk picking up food and a short skeleton monster helping you,

  you smiled at this one, since it was really bright, it contrasted greatly over the others, the memory faded and well, snip-it's of what happened after you met sans came, your 'mom' being arrested, jabberjay shattering your arm, gaster healing it, and even making breakfast this morning, when all you saw was the black behind your eyelids you opened your eyes, smiling, the wild ride known as your life was still going, and you realized you wanted to ride it til the end, contemplating can really do wonders

  after a few more hours alphys, undyne, mettaton, and napstablook all decided to head home for the night, though....frisk didn't want to, she and rose were signing so fast that if you tried you could only capture bits and pieces of their conversation, it seems that frisk and rose have become best buds in only a few hours, and finally toriel was able to drag frisk home... literally...

  after you said your goodbyes you closed the front door, and sat back down on the couch, before everyone left they convinced you to stay at the skele-bros. at least until your arm healed and no longer needed the cast, when they did this it seemed like they had all of it planned, it could've been turned into a formal debate, they had counter points to attack your own, they had the approval of the house residents (aka sans and papyrus), and they would not stop...

  their persistence was the main fault of why you caved in, what can you say? peer pressure wasn't your best to stand firm against, your father and mother yes, but when it came down to continually asking, eventually you would say yes, you really hated to bother someone with your worries and insecurities, after papyrus heard that you agreed to stay he was in the kitchen making 'celebration spaghetti' and he apparently was extremely excited to make it,

  from where you sat on the couch you sank into it, instantly feeling the warmth from it envelop you, after a few minutes agrian came in and stood in front of you holding a plate of spaghetti in his hands "y/n, the spaghetti's ready, come on" you sighed and got up, remembering a time when you didn't and agrian held a piece of pizza inches away from your reach, when you entered the dining room you found everyone already eating, you smiled and sat down, sans next to you as always, grabbing a plate you filled it with the pasta and started to eat,

  afterward you put your siblings to bed, rose and agrian on the floor in sleeping bags while Elijah was on the twin sized bed, when you finished you kissed each of them good night and went downstairs, cuddling into your soft red blanket you fell asleep, once again going to the black of Dreamland...
