Chapter 2: Meeting Luna and Scarlet
When we got in to the restaurant, I got excited. Dad smiled at me with a knowing smile.
"Daddy," I said pointing at the menu. "That thing, please."
I was pointing at the Boneless Banquet. Dad smiled. "Do you want to share it with me?"
I shook my head. My long blond hair that I seemed to develop at nine months old tickling my face which was scarred. "I can manage it, Daddy!"
"That's good," said Dad smiling. "what kind of drink does my Ice princess want?"
"Er ... Pepsi?" I pointed to the Pepsi.
Dad chuckled. "Okay. Anything for my favourite girl!"
He ordered the meal as I started feeling hungry. I looked round the restaurant. There were a lot of people. I was so glad I had my glasses on because without them, I couldn't see a thing. There were people with bright coloured clothes and some with dark. I did see a few children. But I didn't feel safe making friends.
Dad had noticed that I was quiet. "What's wrong, honey?"
"Mummy won't let me make friends," I said. "But there are children there."
I pointed to the happy families in the place. They were all laughing and having fun.
"Well, just ignore what Mummy says," said dad. "You are allowed to make friends."
I sighed with relief. Then two girls looked over. One had brown hair and twinkling blue eyes. The other one had the same shade of brown hair but was taller and had dark blue. They came over and stared at me eyes. I felt nervous as they did this.
"Er ... hello!" I said shyly.
The bright blue eyed girl giggled and smiled. "Hi."
"Oh, don't mind Scarlet," said the older girl. "Very bubbly."
"ah, okay," I said.
"I'm Luna," said the older girl, shaking my hand. "And that's Scarlet."
"I'm Elisabeth," I said looking at Luna. "You look pretty."
"Aw, thank you," said Luna. "That must be your Daddy." She stared at Dad. "My Mummy knows him."
"Hello, girls," said Dad smiling at Scarlet and Luna.
Scarlet smiled at me. "Are you Visually 'impaired?"
I nodded. "How can you tell?"
"You are wearing Glasses like me," said Scarlet.
"That makes sense," I said. "You don't look it, though."
"We are here with Daddy today," said Luna to my dad. "Mummy is doing something. Or that's what she told Daddy anyway!"
"There are cruel people in this world, Luna," said Dad. "Very cruel. Elsa's Mummy abuses her."
I nodded. "Just because I'm different."
Both girls gasped.
"Food's here, girls," came their dad's voice. "Ah, hi, Will. Brought little Elsa?"
Dad nodded. "I couldn't leave her with Diana. She's drunk from last night."
"She and Emily are the worst people." The man came over. "Hello, Elsa."
I smiled. I knew him from Dad's work. "Hello."
HE hugged me gently. "Do you and Daddy want to join me and the girls?"
"Can we, Daddy?" I asked dad.
He nodded. So I walked with Scarlet and Luna to their table. I felt happy that I made two friends. But little did we knew that all our lives were about to change for the worst.

Sorry for the short chapter yesterday. Hopefully this one is better.
How did you like it anyway?
P.S: Luna and Scarlet are the ones from Mill Brook series. I thought to introduce them now.
