Chapter 11: Making a new group of friends!
We walked to Sheherazade's door. Ella, Freya and Luna stood back as I knocked on the door. I held my breath, hoping there would be an answer.
"Who's that?" Came a scared voice behind the door.
Aww! Bless her!
"Just us, Sheherazade," said Ella. "We might of found you a friend."
The door opened. Then a timid little girl looked out. I noticed that she looked slightly brown. I think she was Asian, maybe? She was covered in scars and trembled something crazy. She stared at us all and made to back into her room.
"It's okay," I said, finding my voice after the long silence. "I won't hurt you!"
The girl relaxed slightly. But I could tell that she was hiding something.
"I'm Elsa," I said putting my hand out for Sheherazade to shake. "I've just got here."
Sheherazade shook my hand, relaxing even more.
"Mean people," she said.
"What do you mean?" I asked as the older girls left us to it.
"Did you live with mean people?" Sheherazade asked, pointing at my own scars.
"Yeah," I sighed. "Very mean people."
"Me, too!" Sheherazade lead me into her room.
Does this mean she wants me to talk to her?
"How old are you, Sheherazade?" I ventured to ask.
"Two," came the reply. "My mummy and daddy hated me. Dumped me outside. Nice people picked me up and bought me here. I feel safe here. But scared!"
I looked at the skinny girl.
"Want a hug?" I asked her. "Or don't you like that sort of thing?"
"What is a hug?" Shehereazade asked.
It made me think! Sheherazade didn't know a hug?
"Here," I said sitting on her bed and beckoning her over.
The smaller girl made her way over. I saw that she looked afraid. I may be four, but I can see that the younger girl didn't know what love was! Or friendship for this matter.
"It's okay!" I reassured her. "I promise i won't hurt you."
That did the trick. Sheherazade climbed onto my lap. I hugged her gently. I felt the girl relaxed.
"Is that a hug?" She asked me, her eyes brightening up.
"Yes," I said. "Is it too tight?"
The girl shook her head. I was quite surprised at that. I slightly tightened the hug.
"Is that better?" I asked as Sheherazade leant her head on my shoulder.
"Yes!" Sheherazade snuggled into me.
I felt tears hit my neck. Was she crying? I rubbed gentle circles into her back.
"Is this what you wanted?" I asked gently. "A friend that cares about you?"
Sheherazade nodded, sniffling. I held her close and let her cry. Bless her! God knows how long she's not been cared for?

When I found the others, Ella smiled at me. They were in the most comfortable room with comfortable sofas and a television which was currently playing The Lion King.
"Was it a success?" Ella asked me as I joined her and Freya on the sofa.
"Looks like someone's magic worked," Freya said with a grin. "Good job, Elsa!"
"Thank you," I said finding myself smiling. "What happened to make her so scared?"
"Aww," said Ella. "Your magic did work."
She pointed out the tear stains on my t-shirt.
"All I did was give her a hug," I admitted.
"Poor girl!" Luna joined us. "I feel so bad for her. Her parents did throw her out and if it wasn't for Ella here, she would have died. But the poor thing won't eat!"
"Bless her," I said. "I'll take something up to her later. She trusts me."
We all stared at the screen as the film ended. I couldn't help but think of Sheherazade. Maybe if we all made friends with her and build up trust, then she might come out more.

A/N:
Here is chapter 11. Now, you may have to read the Mill Brook OC book on my main account to know more about Sheherazade. I will link it here or on my message board. But Sheherazade's story is very sad. Good job in deed Elsa!
See you for chapter 12 which I hope won't be as long waited for. In fact I will link her part in the comments if I can!
Wolfie out!
