I followed Bera into the building, holding my breath. Even inside was beautiful. It felt so more like a home that I felt safe. A girl walked up to me and smiled in recognition.

"No way!" She said. "So you broke free from your mother?"

She threw her arms round me. It was Luna. I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah," I admitted. "Did you hear about what happened?"

"It wasn't just you that lost a parent that day, Elsa!" Luna sounded sad.

"Oh," I said hugging her back. "I'm sorry! How is Scarlet?"

"I mean, I know she's living with our dad at the moment," said Luna. "But I don't talk to them that often."

She gently squeezed my shoulder.

"Wow," she said. "More scars? You poor thing."

"Who is this, Luna?" Came a girl's voice.

A girl with long blond curly hair and green eyes came into the hallway. She wore a dress with flowers. She seemed kind.

"This is Elisabeth," said Luna. "But more responds to Elsa!"

"Er ... hello!" I said.

The girl smiled. Then came over.

"I'm Ella," she said. "And this is my sister, Freya!"

Another girl walked out of the room that Ella came from. She had darker hair but dressed the same. She smiled.

"Hello, Elsa!" She said. "Welcome to Ottershead Orphanage."

"Thank you!" I said.

Bera came over at that point. She smiled.

"Seems you know someone, Elsa!" She said.

I nodded. So did Luna.

"Why don't you girls show Miss Elsa round?" Suggested Leo who came out of the kitchen. "Dinner won't be ready until six!"

"Alright!" Said Ella. "Which room is she in?"

"Next to Sheherazade's room." Leo confirmed. "Please get her out of her room! She needs to make friends."

The girls nodded. I felt confused. A girl not wanting to make Friends?

"And this is your room," said Luna as we opened the door.

I stepped in. It was a pink room with two beds. I saw that only one was made. It was close to the window and it had a great view. It felt homely. There was even a television in it. When I got to my bed, I knelt on it and peered out the window. It looked down at a swimming pool. It was closed for the moment. It had a cover over it. But beside that, there was equipment for us to play on.

"It's so much better here!" I said. "Doesn't look like someone's been killed or whatever!"

"Do you feel safe, then?" Asked Ella!

I nodded. Then noticed that her eyes were clouded over. She grinned.

"You are wondering if I have a sight impairment?" She asked.

I nodded, pointing to my broken glasses.

"My condition is unknown," said Ella. "But I got abused like you. Our parents must know your mother. Or did!"

I looked at her and saw faint scars. Poor Ella!

"We should introduce you to the shy girl, then!" Said Freya. "Sheherazade isn't that talkative. She looks like she had a rough bringing up, too! We don't want to exclude her. But she's worried to come out!"

I nodded. "Maybe I can help?"

"You can try!" Said Ella. "You seem like someone she'll get along with."

I got up and walked to them. Then they lead me out.
