19.

"Are you serious about this?" Harry stared at him with a sceptical expression on his face when they were leaving the flower shop after his shift was over.

"Deadly serious" Louis nodded in confirmation, leaning lightly on his bike. "It's a lot of fun".

"What is fun about riding a bicycle?" Harry wasn't buying it.

"Everything. People do this for fun. It makes you feel free and you get to places a lot faster than by foot" Louis tried to make Harry agree to this, his mind shutting off. "Riding is always fun".

As hard as he tried, Harry wasn't able to cover up his reaction. His entire face showed that he was thinking wrongly and exactly what Louis' mind has been wanting him to think. Sometimes he just couldn't help himself. He simply was dirty-minded. Apparently, Harry wasn't any better or maybe he was reading this wrong.

"Fine" Harry cleared his throat, his ears bright red.

"Really?" Louis blinked at him in surprise.

"Yes, show me how to ride that thing" Harry motioned towards the second bike next to Louis' bike. "Although it seems kinda easy".

"Easy, yeah? For someone who has never ridden anything?" Louis cocked an eyebrow at him, a challenge behind his words.

Squirming almost subtly, Harry looked at him with dark green eyes, pupils wider than usual. "Who says I haven't?".

Now Louis was hit with too many mental pictures of possible scenarios he shouldn't think about, especially because they weren't involving him but Liron. He did not want to think about that.

"Besides, you're the teacher, right? It doesn't matter if I ever did this before. The outcome depends on your teaching skills. On your lead" Harry added when Louis kept staring at him blankly.

"And your clumsy legs, Harold" Louis found his voice right in time.

"Oh, please. I may be clumsy but riding this thing shouldn't be a problem" Harry walked over to him and lightly grazed his side before he took a hold of the second bike. "I mean, how hard can it be?".

Apparently, very hard. No pun intended on Louis' side here. Not this time. Harry was really struggling with his bike and keeping his balance and not tangling his legs in places they shouldn't be in.

But no matter how much he was struggling he seemed to enjoy this big time. He had a huge smile plastered on his face the entire time and every time he almost fell down again Louis was right by his side and steadied him or his bike. He wouldn't let him get hurt over something that has been Louis' idea. Even when Louis still couldn't say why or how he had come up with this in the first place.

Maybe the memory of himself learning to ride a bike made him want to share this with Harry. Maybe remembering how badly Luke had wanted to learn it did it for him. Or maybe it has been Zayn mentioning how much fun it could be and how romantic it could be in the future to ride a bike together alongside the beach. Louis really couldn't say what it was but he didn't care because he was having so much fun with Harry that it didn't matter.

"Lou, look at this! I'm doing it" Harry beamed excitedly when he managed to stay on the bike for longer than a minute.

Louis' heart warmed at the use of this nickname but he tried to suffocate that feeling immediately. "You're doing great".

"I think I've got the hang out of this, right?" Harry still didn't fall off the bike although he was still a bit shaky.

"It's looking good, Haz" Louis watched him proudly but froze when he realised what he had just said. Where the hell did that nickname just come from? And why did it feel right? Has he heard that one in one of the other universes? He couldn't remember.

Jumping onto his own bike, Louis caught up to him and together, they slowly rode their bikes all the way down to the beach. Borrowing Zayn's old bike has been one of his best ideas of the year so far. Exhausted, they discarded the bikes and sat down by some rocks close to the shore. It reminded Louis of the place where he had met that one girl, who had helped him see so much.

"I did not think riding a bike could be so much fun" Harry was radiating pure joy and happiness. "Thank you for making me do this, Louis. I enjoyed it. A lot".

"That's no reason to thank me. I had a lot of fun, too. Thank you for doing this with me, Haz" Louis sent him a quick smile before staring out at the ocean.

"A penny for your thoughts" Harry scooted closer to him.

"My mind is a mess lately. So much happened in such a short amount of time and it sometimes feels weird and ... off? I don't know" Louis pulled his knees into his chest.

"In which way?" Harry hooked tentatively.

"All the attacks lately, the demon ones ... it feels odd. The first eighteen months of my training have been mostly quiet and very peaceful. In total, we had three bigger demon fights during that time. But ever since ... The last weeks were full of fights and I don't understand why. What is different now? Why is Josiah targeting us now more than before? If he only wants to kill us wouldn't it have been smarter to do this earlier?" Louis let his mind run free.

"It sounds like everything changed for you the moment Niall and I showed up here and I'm really sorry. I never meant to make your life harder ...".

"Don't put this on you, Haz" Louis cut him off, facing him now. "I don't think you or Niall were the trigger for this. It's bigger than that. Bigger than us. Bigger than me. I just can't see the bigger picture here yet but I can see that something is wrong".

"You have that feeling too?" Harry looked surprised.

"Yeah, for a while now" Louis nudged Harry's knee. "There are things that make no sense. Things we obviously don't know and I've been trying to figure these things out but ... I feel like we're being kept in the dark. There is something Aurelio isn't telling us about Josiah and his past. And with knowing about that memory that Sean can't access it's obvious that it's freaking important. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same thing".

"But why are we not supposed to know about this?" Harry frowned cutely.

"I have no idea but do you remember what he said to Zayn back in the dungeon?" Louis felt the need to smooth out that frown.

"He said Zayn wouldn't defend humans the way he does if he knew what happened to his parents. Well, not with these words but you catch my drift, right?" Harry recalled funnily.

"Where the fuck did you hear that saying? You spend too much time around weird people" Louis chuckled endeared.

"I'm mostly around you lately ..." Harry trailed off cheekily.

"Ey!" Louis pushed him playfully, making him fall down into the sand with a laugh. "But yes, that's what he said to Zayn and I feel like it's very important. Maybe it is part of what we are not supposed to know. But that only makes me wanna know even more. We need to help Sean unlock the memory. And we need to find out who betrayed us".

"Betrayed us? What are you talking about?" Harry sat back up.

"I don't know how to say this but I think we have a traitor somewhere in the academy. Someone who works for Josiah and spies on us. Think about it. Every time we had a mission planned in secret they somehow knew. At first, I thought it was a coincidence. Like, when we rescued the pack. Maybe it was coincidental that the wolves were already in attack mode and knew we were coming. But it happened again and again" Louis opened up to him about his suspicions. "The mission where Àmbar and I got hurt? These demons were sent there. They did not just show up out of nowhere. No one knew about this mission apart from people at the academy. Third-class demons attack humans randomly but everything else is always planned. Too many planned attacks coincidentally at the places we were at, don't you think?".

"Mh, now that you're saying that I can see it. I thought demons might be solely focused on attacking guardians or something" Harry admitted meekly.

"Good thought but no, they're not. I shrugged it off until the attack in Famumria. Someone told on us and warned Josiah that we were looking for Sean's dad to get access to that memory. So, he sent the demons and got him killed. Someone betrayed us and I wanna know who but I can't seem to figure it out. Zayn also has no idea but we need to know ...".

"Lou, breathe" Harry crawled even closer and rested his hands softly on Louis' shoulders to ground him. "In and out. Calmly. Everything is fine".

Inhaling deeply, Louis closed his eyes and exhaled shakily. All these thoughts were driving him crazy and his anxiety had kicked in. He hated when that happened. Most of the time, he had it under control but lately, his control has been slipping. Feeling Harry's gentle hands on his shoulders helped calm him down though.

"Thanks, Haz" Louis opened his eyes, noticing how close Harry was to him but right now, he didn't care.

"Are you feeling better now?" Harry tilted his head aside.

Louis nodded slowly. "Yeah. Sorry you had to see that".

"You have nothing to be sorry for, Lou. It's fine" Harry told him determinedly. "But can I ask if this happens often?".

"Every once in a while. It's anxiety and it sometimes hits me out of nowhere. When I worry too much" Louis confessed shyly.

"You worry a lot about things you have no control over" Harry stated the obvious softly.

"You got me with that one" Louis chuckled lightly. "I just can't help it. I feel like I need to know everything and know what's going on and be prepared for everything and ... I don't wanna fail anyone".

Shutting his eyes closed, Harry looked a bit pained and when he opened them again, Louis was met with sad eyes. "I feel like that's my fault, our fault. We made you feel like a failure and now you have that urge to prove that you're not a failure. At all times and every setback hits you hard although it doesn't have to because no one can always win ... What I'm trying to say is that you're not a failure if you can't figure this out or if you can't protect everyone every time at all hours of the day. You're only human, we all are. We make mistakes and no one is perfect but you're close".

Flabbergasted and absolutely speechless, Louis was staring at Harry. His mind was empty and he had a hard time registering what Harry had said because it felt so foreign and strange to hear him say this and mean it. And with his mind totally quiet Louis could hear his heartbeat going crazy and his pulse racing. He felt like he might die any second right here at the beach. All because Harry had said they were all only human and Louis was close to being perfect to him. What an odd thing to say for him.

At a loss for words, Louis threw all doubts, fears and any kind of hesitation out of the window and threw himself right into Harry's arms, wrapping his arms tightly around Harry's neck. Obviously caught off guard and shocked, Harry wrapped his arms around Louis and pulled him even closer. Like this, Louis ended up fully sitting on Harry's lap with his legs wrapped around him and his nose buried in Harry's neck while Harry's arms were safely secured around Louis' waist and his nose was also tucked into Louis' neck, his breath shaky against it. It felt perfect.

But perfect never lasts long. Their moment was interrupted by a phone ringing. Startling at the sound, Louis untangled himself from Harry but stayed on his lap because he didn't know what to do or how to act right now. Seemingly having the same struggle, Harry kept one hand on Louis' waist while he fished his phone out of his pocket with the other hand. The phone Louis had gifted to him. Seeing him use it made Louis feel stupidly warm over nothing. Maybe he was getting sick.

"It's Abby. She asked if I can cook dinner because they have to stay at the academy a bit longer than planned" Harry read off the screen. "Nice way to say she doesn't want to and simply can't cook. As if I didn't know that".

"I can't cook either. She might be embarrassed about it" Louis found himself defending Abby's non-existent cooking skills.

"She doesn't know how it feels to be embarrassed, especially not about that" Harry put his phone down. "Are you?".

"Embarrassed about what?" Louis squeaked out, fiddling with his fingers in lack of something better to do with them.

"That you can't cook, of course. What were you thinking about?" Harry looked way too amused, his hand still on Louis' waist.

"That, what else" Louis looked down at him, fully realising that he was still sitting on Harry's lap for no reason at all and wasn't doing anything about it because it felt nice. "So, you're gonna head home now and cook?".

"No, we are" Harry was simply looking up at him.

"I just said I can't cook. Is your brain not working or something? Am I that distracting?" Louis placed his hands now lightly on Harry's chest, much to his own horror. And he was about to make it even worse. "Or my bum on your dick?".

"No!" Harry exclaimed in a high-pitched voice, eyes huge.

"You don't have to be embarrassed. My bum has that effect on people" Louis cackled idiotically.

"You're horrible" Harry huffed poutily, pushing Louis off of his lap and onto the sand but he was too busy laughing to care.

"No, I'm great and sexy. Don't deny it. Your dick probably agrees with me" Louis couldn't stop laughing, feeling so light-headed.

"Are you quite done? We have a meal to cook" Harry tried to look stern and annoyed but he couldn't hide his smile.

"You have to cook a meal. I can come along and look pretty" Louis contradicted him but stood up nonetheless, dusting off his clothes.

"I bet you can" Harry muttered under his breath while standing up himself. His words made Louis blush but he willed it away.

"You wanna ride?" Louis asked dumbly, realising too late how that sounded and hoping Harry would think it was funny.

"Excuse me?" Harry turned back around to him. And there went the hope. Damn it ... Wait, did he actually think Louis was asking him if he wanted to ride him? That was ridiculous. He would never.

"Do you wanna ride the bikes back to your place or open a portal instead?" Louis reworded his question, trying very hard to clear his mind of any inappropriate images of Harry and riding.

"Portal would be nice" Harry coughed strangely, his face twisted and his body kinda tense. Louis could also pick up an odd scent coming from Harry but couldn't say what it was. Did he make him uncomfortable now? That wasn't the plan.

"A portal to your kitchen is coming right up" Louis tried to save the situation with nonchalance.

Ignoring Harry's eyes on him, Louis opened a portal to Harry's kitchen and one to his own basement to put the bikes back before they walked through the other portal and right into the kitchen. And just like that, the odd tension was gone and they were back to normal. Sitting on the counter, Louis watched Harry cook a big meal for everyone and he was impressed by his skills. Not once did Harry try to make Louis assist him or help him. He let him sit on the counter and throw in his comments. And it felt normal and weirdly like this was how it was meant to be between them.

Right in time for dinner, Abby and Bella came home and had Luke, Jessica and Colin in tow. After greeting all of them, he was told that Niall was still with Sean and wouldn't join them for dinner today.

During dinner, Louis felt better than expected. This was the first time this combination didn't lead to horrible tension in the room. No, they had a great time and Louis was able to enjoy the presence of Abby and Bella more than ever before. On top of that, spending time with his foster family was always nice. Seeing Luke was always nice and he was relieved that everything was still the same between them although they had cut off their benefits.

But somehow Louis had the feeling that Harry wasn't too happy with their normal and innocent interactions at the dining table. He picked up on a slightly distressed scent and knew it wasn't Luke. Everyone else also seemed to be relaxed and unaware of what Louis could sense, which was odd considering they were all werewolves and should be able to detect Harry's scent.

After dinner, Louis dragged Harry out of the room and towards the door, which he thought led to Harry's bedroom. Thankfully, he was right and ended up in the desired bedroom and not somewhere else. Closing the door behind them, Louis was met with Harry staring at him with a weird expression on his face.

"I can't believe I actually have to ask this but do you have a problem with Luke? Or me and Luke being close?" Louis leaned against the door for support because he felt a bit dizzy.

"What? No!" Harry's face morphed into a look of pure horror. "I don't have a problem with Luke. He is great and I feel bad for not seeing that sooner".

"Then why were you so weird towards him and me during dinner? I could sense that something is off and I shouldn't be able to do that but I did anyway and now I wanna know what it is if you really have no problem with him and ...".

"You could sense that?" Harry blinked stunned.

"Yeah, as soon as Luke and I started talking to ourselves. And even right now I can sense that something is ... not wrong but definitely off. What is it, Haz?" Louis stepped away from the door.

"It's nothing, I swear. I feel a bit off in general lately but I really don't have a problem with Luke. Or you two together. If you're happy together I'm happy for you. That's really all I want and ...".

"Luke and I are not together" Louis cut his rambling off.

"You're not?" Harry raised an eyebrow at him.

"We're not. I know it looked like it from the outside and we did hook up. Everyone knows that. We had some kind of friends-with-benefits arrangement going on that we had started in the pack for obvious reasons" Louis told him honestly. "But we stopped. We're only friends now. We're better off like this. He is very important to me and I don't wanna lose him. I'm glad I didn't yet. I'm not sure it was the best idea to continue this for as long as we did but we stopped now. Better late than never, mh?".

"I really don't know what to say" Harry sat down on his bed.

"You don't have to say anything, Haz. I only wanted you to know because we're somehow friends, mh? And friends are honest with each other" Louis sat down next to him. "Besides, I'm not ashamed to talk about this and you two live together. It's better that you know. No awkward post-sex encounters anymore".

"It wasn't that awkward. Wolf senses are just a bit more sensitive and smelling that on someone isn't always nice" Harry replied a bit more relaxed, the odd scent long gone.

"I can imagine," Louis thought out loud. "So, are you sure you're fine and there is nothing? Are you really good, Haz?".

Harry smiled at him. "Yes, I am good, Lou".

"No, it looks great. It really suits you" Zayn assured Àmbar that her newest haircut looked great.

"Thanks. My hair was annoying me and I just thought fuck it and cut it off" Àmbar explained why she had cut her hair shorter.

"Sometimes that gut feeling is the best leader" Niall noted. "In your case definitely".

"See? I told you, Am. It looks amazing" Louis nudged her side with his elbow.

"It's stupid that I'm overthinking this now when I've had this hair for a few days already but that's just me, mh? Overthinking stuff when it's already too late to regret it or undo it" Àmbar laughed at herself.

"I know that feeling" Louis raised his glass full of alcohol, clinking it against her in a toast.

"We're both pretty good at it" Àmbar winked at him, a strand of her now chin-long hair falling into her blue eyes.

"We're also pretty good at fighting demons, guys. Don't forget we're here to celebrate our latest win" Maribel reminded them, signalling to the waiter that they wanted new drinks.

"That was our easiest battle to date and the inhabitants of Patrum were very grateful" Liam chucked down the rest of his drink.

"Maybe a tad bit too much" Harry chuckled amusedly.

"True, true" Niall nibbled on his glass.

To loosen up and celebrate correctly, they ordered another round of drinks for all of them. In Louis' eyes, they all deserved it after today's fight in Patrum. They have all been in harmony and have shown everyone why they were the best team. That deserved some kind of reward and they had decided on a night out. This bar was filled with people and Louis could feel more than one person checking him out but he ignored it. He was here to have a great time with his friends and not with some stranger in a bathroom.

Three or four drinks in, they were all at least tipsy and some of them were already on the verge of being too drunk to think clearly. That's why they started to play Never Have I Ever in their corner booth.

"Never have I ever woken up in last night's clothes," Maribel asked the lot of them, taking a sip herself.

"Guilty as charged" Louis and Zayn drank in sync.

"I've never been drunk enough for that" Aria crinkled her nose.

"Similar question but never have I ever woken up in a stranger's bed" Zayn addressed all of them. "Not necessarily in a sexual way. Can be in any way".

"Definitely me" Maribel took a sip.

"Once, yeah" Aria drank surprisingly. "Never have I ever lied about something important".

Looking down at his glass, Louis considered his answer. Ignoring a certain feeling and not admitting it to even himself wasn't technically lying, right? He took a sip anyway, feeling the need to get pissed off drunk.

Surprisingly, Àmbar and Harry both took a sip too and Maribel looked like she was debating whether she should or not. That Liam, Niall and Zayn didn't drink wasn't surprising at all. But Harry's next question hit him unprepared.

"Never have I ever lied about feelings".

Reluctantly, Louis took a sip at that but tried to be subtle. Luckily for him, almost everyone else drank at this as well, except for Maribel. Interesting. Louis knew what Zayn and Liam meant, each other obviously. And Àmbar and Aria probably as well. But what did Niall mean? And what did Harry mean to begin with?

"Never have I ever smoked weed?" Louis threw in to stop his own thoughts from getting too suffocating.

"You know I did" Zayn raised his glass before drinking.

"Zouis smoking weed together shouldn't be that hot to imagine" Maribel cackled tipsily.

"It was hot" Louis winked at her exaggeratedly.

"Damn it".

"Never have I ever puked from too much alcohol" Zayn opened another round, emptying his own glass.

"Oh, hell yes. And definitely tomorrow morning" Maribel downed a big gulp of her drink.

"Cheers to that" Louis nodded at her, trying to locate the waiter to order new drinks. Instead of the waiter, he spotted a guy in a corner obviously checking him out. Blocking him out and making it obvious he wasn't interested, Louis waved a waiter over. "One more".

When their new drinks were on the table, the next question was asked. "Never have I ever kissed anyone and thought about someone else?".

Raising an eyebrow at Liam for such a question, Louis gave in and took a sip, knowing he had done that. Even though he had only recently realised that and wasn't ready to talk about it any time soon. But maybe sooner than he thought when Harry took a sip as well, just like Zayn and Niall.

"Never have I ever regretted a kiss. Or better even, a hook up" Harry asked a bit slurred.

And what? He regretted a kiss? A hook-up? Louis' fuzzy mind immediately went to Liron and wondered if Harry was talking about him or someone back in the pack he had slept with. He really shouldn't be thinking about this but there was nothing he could do about it. His mind had a life on its own sometimes.

"Never have I ever had a threesome," Maribel asked giggly.

"Wait what? You said you only ever had sex with two people" Aria gaped at Niall when he drank while Liam hesitated a bit too long.

"Yes, and that's still true" Niallgrinned smugly.

"You dog!".

"That, I am".

"Liam?" Zayn studied him closely. "Did you have one or not?".

"Kind of, in a way? Not really though" Liam cringed at his own words and Louis could see Zayn's face falling.

"How in the world is that possible? You? No way in hell" Maribel wasn't buying it.

"It's none of our business" Àmbar threw her a dark look.

"Didn't you say you only ever had sex with one person?" Niall was openly staring at him.

"Yes but ... I said in a way, okay?" Liam was getting defensive now.

"Are you alright, Joey?" Louis had to make sure he was okay.

"Will be. I knew I never stood a chance but tonight made it all the more obvious" Zayn sounded defeated.

"Don't say that. This doesn't mean anything. It's in the past and has no importance, whatsoever" Louis tried to cheer him up.

"I'm not so sure about that, Tommy. We're just too different to ever work, even if we ever have the guts to address our situation" Zayn had a different opinion on the matter.

"Oh, Joey. I'm here if you need me".

"I know, Tommy. Same goes for you. Whenever you're ready".

"What is that supposed to mean?".

"You know that".

"Never have I ever hurt someone intentionally and then regretted it" Harry's voice cut through their mind conversation.

Staring at him in shock, Louis was left speechless. It was obvious that Harry was very drunk but drunk words were sober thoughts, right? Not always but there was a chance he might mean it. Which did not mean he was talking about their past but it would fit into what Harry had apologised for. Something they wanted to leave in the past and ... Woah, Louis' thoughts were getting heavy and started to make no sense. The alcohol was hitting him now.

Which reminded him that Harry and Niall shouldn't be able to even get drunk. Werewolves couldn't get drunk due to their healing powers. Was that different for betas or for werewolves outside of their pack? Was he even making sense? Were they even really drunk? Was the world spinning or was he spinning? It didn't really matter. He felt like he was about to fall over although he was sitting, so he grabbed onto Harry's arm for balance, leaning into him.

"Lou? Are you alright?" Harry sounded a bit worried.

"I'm fine. The room is just spinning a bit" Louis mumbled, happy he was sitting next to Harry and could bathe in his warmth. It made him the tiniest bit sleepy but Harry didn't seem to mind.

"Holy fucking mother of Jesus! She's hot" Àmbar exclaimed suddenly, startling him a bit but Harry wrapped an arm around him and pulled him into his side, letting Louis rest on his shoulder.

"I did not expect that reaction. Weren't you demisexual?" Maribel was visibly out of her mind but not too drunk to talk yet.

"Yes?".

"Sorry, my mind isn't working anymore".

"It's fine. And yes, I am. You remember that right. But everyone can see that Elizabeth Olsen is hot. Doesn't mean I wanna sleep with her" Àmbar tried to explain herself although she was tipsy.

"Obviously not because she has me" Aria interjected cutely.

"More like she would need to have a certain level of trust with little Beth here" Maribel sniggered nastily.

"Both true, technically" Liam threw in matter-of-factly.

"Naw, don't pout, Baby. They don't know what they're talking about. You know I only want you" Àmbar cooed at her girlfriend.

"Me and no one else?" Aria checked adorably, obviously drunk.

"Only you, my love" Àmbar caressed her face tenderly.

"Urgh, you two are so disgustingly cute" Niall gagged showily.

"They don't really care if they bother you or not, Nialler. Give it up" Zayn shrugged unfazed.

"Oh yeah?" Maribel's eyes were sparkling mischievously. "Then never have I ever found my soulmate".

And there it was. The word Louis had tried to avoid for some time. Of course, right now it had to come back again and hit him when he was defenceless. And drunk. And his pounding head was resting on Harry's shoulder in a crowded bar. Harry, who tensed up as soon as she uttered out the word soulmate. With both of them frozen in place, Louis had no idea how to react or act.

"I have" Àmbar drank from her almost empty glass.

"Me too" Aria did the same, gazing into Àmbar's eyes.

"This is your fault" Liam pointed at the loved-up couple.

"Not my fault they're so over the top cute" Maribel justified herself.

Zayn and Niall were both silent and Louis knew they were looking at them, probably waiting for a reaction from any of them or wondering why they were in the position they were in, to begin with. Valid concerns but Louis's mind was empty. The only word he could hear was soulmate. Ironically, he was as close as never before to his soulmate but that wasn't what Maribel had meant. Her question was about romantically involved soulmates, which they weren't.

Fearing he would puke any second, Louis sat back up straight and avoided looking at Harry but he was still frozen to his spot anyway. Shortly, Louis made eye contact with Zayn, who was really watching him closely but Louis only sent him a tiny smile. Niall was also watching him now with an unreadable expression on his face. Before he could question that he heard a new voice.

"H? Hey, what a coincidence to meet you here. How have you been?" the voice belonged to a handsome guy, who looked like he was even taller than Harry with dark eyes and dark skin. Way too attractive to be walking around freely.

"Good, very good. And you, Liron?" Harry focused his attention on the guy in a heartbeat.

Flabbergasted, Louis followed their exchange but didn't catch on to what they were even saying. He only saw their looks and glances and knew Harry would leave in a minute. With Liron. Deaf to the world around him, Louis drowned his thoughts and feelings in alcohol but his glass was empty way too soon. Too soon because Liron was still there, suddenly looking down at him.

"Huh?".

"I asked if you could let me out, Lou" Harry tapped his shoulder lightly, gaining his attention. "You're kind of blocking my way".

Of course, he was. That has been their seating arrangement for some stupid reason. Louis and Zayn were sitting on opposite ends of the booth and the rest of the group was between them against the wall. Right now, Louis was questioning whose idea that has been. Probably his own because he had a weak bladder. But then again, so did Àmbar and she was 'only' sitting next to Zayn and not at the very end of the booth, like Louis. What was the question again?

"Sorry. Very drunk here. What?" Louis tried to make his brain work for only a moment but he couldn't focus on Harry and Liron.

Instead of repeating his words, Harry placed his hands on Louis' waist and manhandled him into a wobbly standing position while standing up himself. The touch was not helping Louis' fuzzy mind at all. Too soon, Harry's hands were gone and replaced by Zayn's, who were pulling him back down into the booth but now next to Zayn instead. Louis' mind wasn't following.

"Is it okay for you all if I ...?" Harry didn't finish his sentence.

"Of course. Go and have fun. We're good. About to leave anyway" Maribel waved him off.

"Fun. Good idea" Louis stood up way too abruptly but he couldn't endure this any longer. Seeing Liron touching Harry even the tiniest bit was too much to handle when he was drunk.

"Tommy!".

"Louis!".

Ignoring Àmbar and Zayn's calls, Louis marched directly over to one of the guys that have been watching him all evening. He could feel Harry's eyes on the back of his neck but he shrugged it off. Didn't he want to leave with Liron to have some fun? What was he waiting for? Liron was obviously already in the mood and made no move to keep a secret about what he was up to. And that was sex.

"Hello there".

"Hi. You have been watching me all night, right? You want me, right?" Louis came straight to the point, way too drunk to think this through but the guy looked nice enough leaning at the bar.

"Um ... yes" the guy was a little caught off guard.

"Good" Louis stepped closer to him but not without glancing over at his friends.

Zayn and Àmbar looked worried and even a bit shocked but tried to hide it, in vain. Niall's face was unreadable and Maribel, Aria and Liam were talking to each other, completely unbothered and drunk. Right in front of their table booth were Harry and Liron, already way too touchy and Harry did not look drunk at all. Has he even been drunk at one point or has Louis been wrong? Did his healing powers kick in and he was sober again now? Would he tell Liron about that? Did he know by now that he was a werewolf?

Demanding his mind to shut up, Louis ignored Harry and Liron starting to make out and focused on the strange guy. Before he could overthink this, Louis kissed him and he kissed back. While kissing heavily Louis glanced back over at their table and met Harry's eyes for a split second before he left with Liron. Blocking out his need to cry, Louis tried to fall into the feeling of kissing this dude but it wasn't working. This wasn't his thing. He wasn't being himself and had no idea what had made him do this in the first place. Alcohol was evil and feelings were even worse.

Like he was slapped in the face, Louis broke away from the kiss and simply walked away. He passed their table but kept walking. With his last remaining bit of focus, Louis opened a portal to his flat and disappeared from the bar, leaving his friends behind but he knew they would get it and understand even though he himself didn't. He didn't know what was wrong.

As soon as he was inside the safe walls of his bedroom Louis could feel his eyes sting. He was such an emotional and way too overdramatic drunk and that was kicking him in the ass now. With the images of Harry and Liron leaving together, their hands all over their bodies, Louis threw himself onto his bed and started crying out of nowhere. He felt so sad and devastated although there was nothing to be sad about. He and Harry were nothing, not even real friends yet but here he was, crying over him like some lovesick fool. Louis felt like an idiot. A heartbroken idiot.

With that feeling taking over his entire body and mind, he kept on crying until the tiredness took over him and he fell asleep. With tears on his face and a heavy and empty heart. Screw soulmates.

What is going on with Louis?

Who is the traitor?

BTW, Part 1 of this story is almost over. I'm gonna finish it tomorrow. Do you want me to post part 2 separately or still here as one united story? ( because it is but it's getting very long obviously because it's still a real book I'm writing). It's up to you, guys.
