They want me back?!
I got up on my tip toes, as I kissed him passionately, clutching onto his shoulders with one arm as he ran his hands through my hair. The kiss lasted forever, as I felt my whole body light up like fireworks. I've missed him so much. I smiled, tears welling up in my eyes as I pulled away, wiping them from my eyes. I pushed him away gently, but I was still in his arms, turning to face the notorious host club.
"So, what's up?" Was all I said to them, as I looked Tamaki in the eyes, daring him to try talk to me.
This seemed to stun the rest of the host club from moving or speaking. All except for Honey.
"Hibi-chan!" Honey shouted, as he launched himself at me, as he clung onto me and hugged me, tears in his big brown eyes.
I hugged him back with my one arm, holding him close to me. "Honey-senpai. I missed you." I said, and it was true. I did miss Honey and Mori. They didn't do anything, they were just there when it happened.
"We were all so worried!" Honey said, sniffling. I gave him a small smile as I ruffled his hair with my free, but broken arm, gently.
"How worried was my family?" I asked him, as my blue eyes grew concerned for them. What if something happened when I was gone? What if Aunty was caught again? What if my siblings were all taken away and put into the foster system?
"Their a-ok!" Honey-senpai said, smiling, making me sigh in relief.
Kyoya cleared his throat. "We've had my private police force monitoring your house in case of any break ins or danger." Kyoya said, giving me a look, before going back to writting in his book.
I gulped, my blood suddenly running cold, despite the heat of new Mexico. I leaned back more into Ritsu, my shoulders tensing up in case the heartless tax collector decided to say anything else, like how he might have seen my siblings sneaking out or something. My secret could be out, and I'd lose my family once more.
But he said nothing else, seemingly dropping the topic entirely, as he continued to scribble in notes and balance money for the club, which I was grateful for.
I was just left confused, as Ritsu relaxed my shoulders, and I smiled up at him.
Tamaki had seemingly snapped out of his daze as he started to walk closer.
"Ritsu's been going nuts since you've been gone, my beloved son!" Tamaki said, as he started to get too close to me.
"Thats good to know. We're you guys worried at all? Wait, why am I asking you guys, you clearly don't care about me. You guys have made it crystal clear that gay men aren't wanted in your prestigious and flirty cosplay wannabe family since you kicked me out!" I screamed, thinking of the right words that described what I was feeling. I internally smirked, feeling victorious at getting a jab at them, those horrible homophobic host club, feeling somewhat better as my anger ebbed off.
Kyoya stopped writting, a bit shocked at what he heard.
"Hibiki." The twins said in unison, their voices dropping and turning into a more vulnerable and upset tone.
"Hi-chan, you don't mean it, do you?" Honey asked, tears in his eyes, still on my side.
Mori's eyes darkened slightly, but said nothing.
Even Haruhi looked a bit shocked that that came out of my mouth, as her brown eyes widened at my harshness.
Tamaki didn't say anything, absorbing those words like poison.
The looks on the twins hurt faces, the tears threatening to fall down Honey's cheeks, and the sorrow in Tamaki's eyes, melted the internal smirk and caused that anger to melt into a puddle of sadness, as I sighed, ashamed and embarrassed for feeling happy at laughing at others pain.
I am not like him. I'm better than that.
"I'm sorry guys, I got a bit ahead of myself there. I didn't mean...." I started to explain, but Karou put a hand on my shoulder.
"We get it. Your mad at us. You have every right to be. Let's just go home, ok?" He said, his eyes full of hurt. I was about to say something in response, hoping to make them all feel better, but Honey, suprisingly cut me off.
"Kao-chan, stop and let him apologize. We're not going to do this again. Just put yourself in his shoes for a second. He litterly got kicked out of club that we bribed him into joining. He was probably starting to like being apart of and then he got yelled at for something he can't control, and we expect him to be nice to us? I don't think that's how being friends works. Let's go home and have some cake to make everyone feel better, ok?" Honey asked, his cuteness returning at the word cake, still clinging onto my side like a little bear.
Mori hummed in agreement to what Honey said, and I smiled, putting my bad arm's hand on his head as I held him.
Everyone was silent, as I took a deep breath, prepping my words carefully.
"Guys, I'm sorry. I'm not mad at you anymore. Look, I understand why you guys would kick me out of the club. I'm different, I'm gay. People don't like that. If girls knew that, they wouldn't come, am I right? So, I guess we can go home, and I'll just not come back, right?" I asked, my voice cracking at the end from the emotion. It was clear they still didn't want me in the club.
"On the contrary, we have officially changed the rules to allow you to be in the host club. And we have confirmed with Renge that the girls will not be turned away just because you are homosexual. In fact, it actually appeals to some girls because then they can ask for tips and other stuff she incessantly babbled about. You are free to come back, if you wish too." Kyoya suddenly said, snapping his book shut as he looked up, his eyes less icy than normal.
"Really?" I asked, truly not believing it myself. They still wanted me in the club?
"Yea. We were going to throw you a big party" "before you got kidnapped, that is." The twins said, as Hikaru smirked, but Karou wasn't smirking.
Karou wasn't satisfied.
"What do you mean, put ourselves in how shoes Honey-senpai? He litterly made us travel half way across the earth to find him!" He shouted, as I winced slightly. He's right.
Ritsu snorted. "Karou. Drop it." He said, darkly.
I looked up at him, startled at how dark his voice was, as I got up on my tip toes and I kissed him on the cheek. "It's ok, Ri. He has a point." I said, as I looked him in his amber eyes.
"I'm sorry for causing you guys so much trouble. Thank you for coming to get me and the others." I said, bowing slightly.
Karou was silent before clearing his throat. "Well, I'm glad your ok." Karou said, slightly taken aback, as he scoffed, satisfied with that. He went over to his brother. "Let's get you in the helicopter, brother."
Hikaru nodded, as he limped to the helicopter, using Karou as a crutch. I guess the pain was really getting to him.
I smiled, as I set Honey down for a moment. "I'll sit next to you and Ritsu in the helicopter." I said, as I smiled.
"SQUIRREL!! SILICA!! ED!!!! TIME TO GO!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, causing me to cough and pant afterwards.
Ritsu was immediately by my side, rubbing my back as I coughed my lungs out, it felt like.
Once I was done, I sat up, seeing the circus gang coming over the dune, racing towards their salvation.
Squirrel was on all fours, scampering as fast as she could, as she lept into my arms, before running quickly into the helicopter.
Silica, not as fast, gestered rapidly at the helicopter.
Ed was running, carrying the sack behind him.as it chartered around. He looked frantic, his small eyes now wide open.
Something was wrong.
I was about to start moving again when I felt a horrible, frightening, terrible glare settle on my back, making me shiver despite the heat.
"We need to go." I said, as I grabbed Ritsu's hand and I tried to run as fast as I could, but I wasn't strong enough to pull him fast enough.
"Why, what's going on?" Ritsu asked, on high alert.
"C'mon guys, move!" I said, as I kept tugging, hoping the others would see my urgency and get in the helicopter.
"Silica! Hurry up!" I shouted, as I watched Silica sprint faster, as she dived into the helicopter.
Tamaki grabbed Haruhi and got in as quickly as he could.
Honey was picked up by Mori, who looked deadly scary right now.
The twins were in the helicopter already, and Kyoya hopped in the co pilot seat.
I was about to get in as well, but a fimilar sound echoing in the noisy air, above the sound of the chopper starting up.
A gun.
"Well, well, well.....Habuku Takenaka." I heard a voice say behind me, and suddenly, I was hit with a sense of deh ja vu.
This was my nightmare, and it was turning into a reality.
