Ch. 8: Crystal

You make it upstairs and you get to the door Fritz told you about. You knock and you hear a feminine voice saying, "Come in." You open the door and you look to see a woman with a green dress, a small hat on her head, light brown hair, etc.

(Crystal's outfit is more likely the one on the lady on the far right.)

You say, "Hello. Crystal Dahl?" She looks over and she says, "Yes. That's me. Might I help you with something?" You say, "Actually... I came to ask you a few things if you don't mind." She says, "Sure. Come in here and we can talk."

You walk in and you shut the door. You walk to the chair in front of her desk and you sit down to face her. She looks at you. You say, "Hi, Crystal. My name's (Y/N) (L/N)." She smiles and says, "You must be Richard (L/N)'s daughter." You say, "Yes. I am. I have questions to ask of you if you don't mind." She says, "Go ahead."

You say, "Well... How do I put it?" You look at her and you say, "What was it like working with... you know who as the mayor?" She sighs and looks away. You say, "You don't have to answer that if you don't want to. I was told you were his assistant and that raised concerns towards me."

She looks at you and he says, "The former mayor, Mayor William Afton made me his assistant for all the wrong reasons. You see... My parents died a year ago and I'm raising a younger sister on my own. Her name's Judy. She's eight years old." You say, "So is my sister, Doris. Go on."

She says, "Afton forced me to do him some... favors. Disgusting ones for that matter." You say, "My god. Why didn't you just leave?" She says, "He'd threaten to get me evicted or kicked out of my home to live on the streets if I didn't do these things for him. He..." She sighs and says, "He would make me stay behind to even give him... head."

You say, "That's disgusting. This bastard sounds like he should've lost his privileges as the mayor and had been sued for that." She sighs and says, "It was the only way I could keep my job and my house to help raise Judy."

You say, "Crystal. I'm so sorry you had to go through that with Afton. Sounds like a sexist, murderous pig." She says, "He was. I'm thankful he's behind bars, now for the murder of those two women. That Hector Springtrap's mother being one. The other was his girlfriend."

You say, "We've got Hector out of the woods, now. That's where he was hiding for two years until we convinced him that he's innocent and they got the real perp." Crystal says, "And where is Hector living, now?" You say, "With us. Our home was his before he vanished into the woods."

After you guys talk Crystal says, "I appreciate this, (Y/N). I knew somebody would ask these things of me, at some point." You say, "It was nice to meet you, Crystal. I'm sorry you've had to deal with that disgusting man. Things must be better since Fritz Smith became the new mayor, huh?" She says, "Oh yes. Much better. Come by again and see me, alright?"

You smile and you say, "I sure will." You stand up and you say, "You can come to my house anytime if you'd like. Have dinner with me and my family. You can meet Doris soon, too." She stands up and says, "I'd like that. And you can meet Judy. I'm sure she and Doris are in the same class together."

You say, "I'm sure they are. In fact, why don't you come downstairs? You can meet my mother." She says, "I'd like to." You and Crystal walk out of her office and you head down the hallway. She looks back at the main office which is now Fritz Smith's.

She sighs and says, "Boy, am I glad those days are over." You put your hand on her shoulder and you say, "What he did was disgraceful and absolutely nasty." She smiles and says, "I thank you for your support, Miss. (L/N)."

You and Crystal head downstairs and you see Fritz, Hector and your parents. They see you and your mom says, "Ah, there you are (Y/N) dear. I see you found Miss. Dahl." You say, "She told me everything about... you know who." Your mom approaches Crystal and she says, "Hello there, dear. I'm Loretta (L/N). Richard's wife and (Y/N) and Doris' mother."

They shake hands and Crystal says, "Very nice to meet you, Mrs. (L/N). (Y/N) told me she too has a younger sister." They let go of hands and your mom says, "Yes. Doris is eight years old." Crystal says, "So is Judy. Our parents died last year and I've been taking care of her on my own since."

Hector says, "Don't feel alone, Miss. Dahl. My mother's death took a toll on me, too." Crystal says, "She was such a nice lady, too. I had no idea it was Afton who murdered her until I found the photos, myself while he was in the bathroom."

You look at her and you say, "Wait. You're the one who found them?" She says, "Yes. As his assistant and him having me in his office a lot... I've decided to snoop around. I found photos that sickened me and I immediately ran out of there and went to report them to the police."

Your dad says, "Wow. Sounds like you saved everyone around ya, hon." Hector sighs and says, "I knew him only too well. Since I was a kid. He's been a psychopath from the beginning. He was my... classmate. But a year older than me. We'll put it that way. He was always torturing ME of all people."

You put your hand on his shoulder and you say, "I'm sorry you guys had to deal with such a monster." Fritz says, "Oh, speaking of which. Mr. (L/N). The police wanted us to send them the files of William Afton. He's being held there in their prison. Would you care to take them?"

Your dad says, "Not at all, Mayor Smith. I can do that for ya." Fritz smiles and says, "I appreciate it, pal. The police will definitely need those files of his within two days if you'd like to get it to them, tomorrow. They'll be able to check his background history and all. The files are located at the post office. You've got mine and their permission to retrieve them. Just give 'em your name and mine. They'll understand." Your dad says, "Thank you, sir."

After all of that, you say your goodbyes and you, your parents and Hector head out. You get to the car and you all get in. Your parents in the front and you and Hector in the back. Your dad starts the car and he says, "How about some music, huh?" You say, "Yeah. Sure."

He turns the radio on and it plays San Fernando Valley by Bing Crosby. You smile and you sit back, singing to it. Hector does a bit, too. Your mom says, "You kids today sure like Bing Crosby." Your dad drives off and back to your guys' house.
