I had originally planned on posting this Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, but this part ended up being longer than I anticipated and taking longer to edit as well. This chapter is pretty long even with me cutting it off at an awkward spot in order to keep it from getting too long. Take this long chapter as my late Christmas/whatever you celebrate present to all of you who love and appreciate the shit-storm that is this story/book, and happy New Year Everyone!

A Hot and Sexy Alpha for Arthur Chpt 13: Arthur and His Alpha Go Shopping Pt 2

Alfred walked out away from the store they'd just been in. "Where to next, baby? Or would you prefer I decide."

"You decide," Arthur said a bit too quickly.

"Okay... Would you like to continue shopping for you or take a break and shop for me for a bit?" Alfred asked.

"Well... you've already spent a lot on me, why don't we look at stuff for you?"

"Sounds good to me... though I have to warn you, we're going to a place that smells very strongly of other alphas. The alphas that work there are all females to help soothe and calm omegas, but there may be male alphas there and the scent will probably be very overwhelming for you as it's been a while since you've really been with an alpha. That all being said, do you want me to hold you?"

"I'll be okay," Arthur assured Alfred. "I work with alphas almost exclusively in an office that smells like an alpha's locker room. I doubt it will be anything new for me."

Allan nodded. "I understand... Just promise me you'll say something if it's bothering you, yeah? I don't want you to suffer in silence if it does end up being too much for you."

Arthur nodded, "Okay, Alfred."

Alfred walked with Arthur to said store, Alfred being a regular at this one as well.

Arthur tensed up a bit as they walk in, burying his head into Alfred's side in an attempt to block out the concentrated scent of what could only be described as 'alpha.'

Alpha noticed immediately, sensing that Arthur had likely underestimated just how strongly the stored would smell of alphas. "Do you need me to hold you?" Alfred whispered softly, wrapping his arm tighter around Arthur's waist.

Arthur nodded. "Please," he murmured.

Alfred nodded and carefully picked Arthur up before finding a bench a little ways into the store and sitting down on it. Alfred gently cuddled the smaller male in his arms. "You're okay, little one," he comforted.

Arthur shuddered a bit in the alpha's arms, cuddling closer to Alfred like he was freezing.

Alfred set the bags from the previous store down on the floor next to them in order to better cuddle Arthur. Alfred waited patiently for the omega to calm down.

Once Arthur had calmed he began to shyly look around, slightly nervous about what other store patrons might think.

"Is it okay if I carry you around, for now, sweetheart?" Alfred asked softly.

Arthur shook his head. "No, I'm fine... I don't want to cause a scene or anything."

"You're not causing a scene, baby, and you won't be if you let me carry you around. I'm sure they'll understand you being nervous in a story mainly for alphas."

."I know the workers would understand... But some of my coworkers shop here," Arthur attempted to explain.

Alfred felt slightly hurt at Arthur's reasoning but simply nodded. "No, you're right. You wouldn't want anyone you know to see you in some glorified porn star's arms. I understand completely... Why don't we just leave and go shop somewhere for you some more?" Alfred asked, distancing himself by letting go of Arthur, using the excuse of grabbing their bags as he moved away from Arthur like an injured animal leaving to lick at their wounds.

Arthur noticed and closed the distance between them once again, carefully moving to hold Alfred's face in his small hands. "Please don't be upset or hurt, Alfred. I didn't mean it like that, okay? I'm proud to have such a strong and handsome alpha by my side, no matter their occupation, and I'm especially glad to have you, in particular, by my side. I just would never hear the end of it at the office is any of my coworkers saw me this cuddly with an alpha they'd never seen before out of the blue. They... Let's not talk about this right now. I promised myself I wouldn't think about work while on our date, yeah?"

Alfred nodded in understanding and nuzzled Arthur's hand, "So you're not embarrassed or ashamed to be seen with me?"

"Not at all, love. You're wonderful and I love being with you and being seen with you... I'm just... it's a lot of personal stuff I have to work through on my own holding me back is all."

Alfred kissed Arthur's forehead sweetly. "Can I hold you if I give you my hoodie to hide in and avoid going near other customers? I know the hoodie isn't much since it's sleeveless, but it's something, right?" he asked.

Arthur smiled at how sweet and considerate Alfred was being. "I think I'd like that... though you'll have to excuse me if I'm still a bit jumpy. I'm not used to any of this, really."

Alfred put his hoodie on the omega before picking Arthur up into his arms, resting the omega on his hip so Arthur could still cuddle into him but wouldn't feel quite so awkward or embarrassed. "How's that? You can still see your surroundings, but you're nice and safe in my arms while I get to hold you."

Arthur kissed Alfred's cheek sweetly. "Thank you, Alfred. It's so sweet that you care so much about me and my feelings. It means more to me than you could ever know."

Alfred kissed Arthur's forehead. "It's something that more alphas should take the time to do for any omega in their life, and it saddens me to think yours haven't." Alfred began walking around as they continued talking, the two falling into a comfortable silence as Alfred shopped and mostly avoiding the other customers.
