Alyssa stood by Kaycie on the astronomy tower while they waited for class to start.

"So, what do we even do in this class?" Alyssa asked Kaycie "I dunno, don't ask me."

After class, Alyssa was rubbing her eyes and Kaycie was yawning.

"My eyes hurt from looking in that telescope for an hour..." Alyssa said "That class was just boring..." Kaycie said.

"I have charms next, you?" "Potions." "Bummer. See ya." "See you."

Alyssa finally reached the charms class room and looked at the schedule.

"Charms with the Ravenclaws"

She walked into the classroom as she folded her schedule and slipped it into her bag.

She inspected the room and spotted Mason sitting by an empty seat.

Alyssa walked over and sat down by him. "Heya Mason!"

He was lost in thought, and started at the sound of her voice.

"Oh, hi Alyssa." He said as he realized who she was.

They quieted down as Professor Flickwick got on his pedistool.

"Today we will just be reading our Textbooks introduction to Charms. Please open to chapter 1 please." Flickwick instructed.

The class read aloud in unison. At the end of class Alyssa said her farewells to Mason and then looked at her schedule.

"Defense against the dark arts with the Slytherins"

Maybe I'll have it with Kaycie! She thought as she walked down the hallway, looking for the Correct classroom.

She eventually found it and pushed it open. The classroom was really big, though Alyssa heard the Potions classroom was bigger.

She looked around but didn't see Kaycie. She looked for empty seats and saw a table with a blonde girl and a brunette boy.

She walked over and sat down across from them. "Hi! My name is Alyssa." Alyssa said cheerfully to the, according to their robes, Slytherins.

The girls eyes immediently fell to the Hufflepuff crest on Alyssa's robe.

She looked back up to meet Alyssa's eyes. "I'm Grace, this is Braden." She said pointing with her thumb at the guy.

"Nice to meet you." Alyssa said. "Our pleasure." Braden said

"So, tell me, why did the sorting hat put you in Hufflepuff?" Grace asked.

"Well I don't really know." Alyssa responded "It just told me it was deciding between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Didn't tell me why..."

"I see..."

Then the teacher, Professor Lupin, walked out of his Office.

"Okay everyone! These will be your permeant seats unless you give a good reason to move you." He announced.

"Please pull out your Textbooks and turn to page 5, that is where the introduction is."

As we pulled out our books, Grace asked "Do you think it was wrong?"

"Was what wrong?" Alyssa asked as she flipped through the pages.

Grace rolled her eyes. "The sorting hat?"

"Oh, I'm not sure, like I said it didn't tell me why I qualified for those houses. It could be for being Hardworking, being friendly, it could be anything that makes a person qualified for Hufflepuff." Alyssa said, looking up.

"...Okay..." Grace said.

After class Alyssa exited the room followed by Grace and Braden.

"See ya later, Hufflepuff." Braden said with what sounded like surpressed laughter and grabbed Grace to drag her away.

Alyssa stared after them confused. She shook it off and took out her schedule.

"Herbology with the Gryffindors"

Alyssa set off through the hallways looking for an exit that lead the way to the Greenhouses.

She found it and looked through the glass on the Greenhouses in awe.

There were really pretty plants inside the Greenhouses.

She approached the rest of the group, which consisted of Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs.

She recognized one of her Roommates in the crowd.

After that she had History of magic.
