Soundwave took a deep breath as he wrapped bandages around his chest. He tried his best to hide his.... feminine chest as his two minicons were putting stuff in his bag.

"Frenzy, do you remember the extra bandages for carr- I mean sire?"

"/Rumble./"

Rumble turns his helm towards his sire, holding his bag open.

"/You can still call me carrier. At least when we're alone./" Soundwave smiled softly at him.

Rumble smiled back at his carrier as his sister, Frenzy, put bandages and extra stuff for her carrier's big day.

"Everything's in the bag, carrier. Are you really gonna do it?" She asks.

Soundwave nodded. He knew it was going to be hard. Especially with his transition.

"/Alright. I'm off./" Soundwave lifted the bag over his shoulder. He walks towards the door. He turns around to give his kids once last glance.

"/wish me luck.../" He left as his kids stayed behind in their cottage.

"Do you think he'll pass?" Frenzy asked.

Soundwave was walking towards the entrance of the castle, seeing other participants walking ahead or saying goodbye to their families. Many seemed to be peasants as well. Seems he wasn't the only desperate one. He sighed heavily, already worried over his kids. He wasn't someone that would abandon his children. He loved them. This is why he's trying out to be a knight. To give them a better future.

"LINE UP!" One of the Royal guards yelled.

Soundwave quickly went into line as two more guards showed up, the king walking right behind them. Soundwave stared behind his visor, already in fear. The rumors about the king were true. He really is terrifying.

"I see that a lot of my citizens want to honor our kingdom against the Iacons. I hope to not be disappointed."

His gaze landed on Soundwave. He moved towards him.

"What is your name?" He asked.

Soundwave gulped as he quietly spoke.

"My name is Soundwave, Your Highness." Soundwave bowed slightly.

He smiled as he went down the line. Soundwave let out his breath, not even knowing he was holding it in. The person next to him nudged his shoulder.

"Pretty intense, huh?"

Soundwave looks over at him.

"My name is StarScream. What's yours?"

"/Soundwave./" He spoke.

"Lovely name." He said.

Soundwave smiled behind his mask as StarScream smiled as well.

"Alright, everyone! Let's begin your training!!!" The guard from earlier yelled.

After a few hours later, many participants were being taken out of the walls for not being able to complete the tasks. Soundwave saw StarScream catching his breath, holding a wooden sword as his opponent was lying on the ground. It seemed StarScream won. Soundwave faced his opponent, someone larger than him. He could have easily been defeated if he hadn't trained earlier. Soundwave dodged his opponent's moves quickly. He stabbed him with the wooden sword, catching him off guard.

"Match set. Soundwave wins!"

Soundwave laid down as his opponent was taken away.

"That's it! Everyone who's left here will come this morning to be honored by the king and become a knight."

Soundwave smiled behind his mask as everyone around started to cheer. He got in. He passed every test. He's going to become a knight.

"You hear that, Soundwave!? We're gonna be knights!!!" StarScream yelled.

Soundwave nodded in excitement. He can't wait to tell his kids.

Frenzy and Rumble jumped in joy as his carrier shared the news.

"I can't believe you got in, dad!"

"Are we gonna live in the castle?"

"Are we gonna meet the king?"

"Will we be able to live with you?"

Knock, knock!

Everyone turned their helms towards the door. Soundwave opens the door, Frenzy and Rumble gripping onto his legs.

"/oh!/"

Starscream was at his door. .....wait-

"Sorry for the disturbance Soundwave! I was wondering if-" StarScream notices the two small sparklings grabbing onto Soundwave.

"I didn't know you were a sire." Starscream said.

Soundwave smiled nervously as he let StarScream in.

"/How did you know I live out here?/" Soundwave asked.

Starscream rubbed the back of his helm nervously.

"I followed you."

Red flag. Soundwave held his sparklings close to him, defensive.

"No wait! Not like that. It's that- I don't have a place to sleep and also-" StarScream held a small bird in his hands. Soundwave leaned over, looking at the small bird.

"You seemed like someone that likes animals, so I thought maybe you'd be interested in taking care of her?"

Soundwave took the small chick into his servos. The small one chirped as it nuzzled into his servos.

"/I can take care of her./" Soundwave pet her little head. Starscream smiled.

"You wouldn't mind if I sleep here, right? I don't have a place to stay for tonight so-" StarScream trailed off as Soundwave got curious.

He's not from here. Maybe the neighboring kingdoms or villages.

"/sure. Just don't overstay your visit here./"

The next morning, Soundwave and StarScream headed to the castle, Frenzy and Rumble tailing behind him and Lazerbeak (the chick) in his servo. The guard stops Soundwave.

"Sorry. No sparklings in these castle walls." He said.

Soundwave looked back at his sparklings, worried.

"/But I have no one to take care of them./" He said.

The guard rolled his optics as he didn't let him in. That was until someone placed a servo on his shoulder. He turns around as both Soundwave and StarScream look behind him, their optics both wide. The guard quickly turns around to greet him. "Captain! I- I didn't know you were back from-" The knight held his hand up, signaling him to be quiet. He pushed the guard to the side to get a better look at Soundwave and his sparklings. He pointed towards them.

"/They're my sparklings. I don't have anyone to-/" The knight moved to the side to let him and StarScream in, plus his sparklings. Soundwave quickly looked behind to see the knight following behind them, along with the other guard.

Soundwave stood in his new armor, covering most if his body, which he had hoped. It wasn't exactly comfortable, but it got the job covered.

"C'mon Soundwave!" StarScream yelled. Soundwave followed behind him, carying his helmet with him. They stood in line as the king held a sword as the other knight from earlier stood next to him. They seemed to be whispering to each other. The king seemed upset but decided to return his attention to the ceremony.

"We're gather here today to welcome our newest knights who will serve our kingdom with great honor. May Soundwave stand forward."

Soundwave walked forward as StarScream kept watch of his two minicons. He lowered down to his knee, his hand crossed over his chest.

"Will you, Soundwave, serve my kingdom and bring us honor to us all?"

Soundwave looks up, speaking with confidence. "I will, King Megatron."

Megatron placed the sword on each shoulder, giving him the title of knight.

"I pronounce you as..."

"Sir Soundwave of Kaon..."
