It had been just over a week and Chizuru had finally moved into Kazuya's apartment. While finishing up some work, Chizuru came running in all excited.

"Kazuya, you have to hear this" She cried.

"Uh, what is it?" Kazuya asked.

"The musicians who play my favourite song 'Centimeter' will be playing live this Friday" Chizuru said excitedly.

"Ok, that sounds cool" Kazuya replied, knowing who they really are.

"I really want to see them, to see who created that song" Chizuru told him.

"Alright, I can get tickets and we can go with our friends" Kazuya said.

"Yay, thank you, you're the best" Chizuru thanked before giving him a huge hug, followed by a kiss.

When Chizuru went off to take a shower, Kazuya couldn't help but laugh. She was this excited about seeing her favourite song in a live show, yet she never knew that he contributed to making it. While he was writing the lyrics, he obviously didn't know what tune it would have. So, he had help from Asahi and Akane in the tune while Kenji helped in the bass line, Miyuki helped in chords and Masanori helped in the backing track. Overall, they all had apart to play to make the song. They hadn't revealed who they were when they recorded it at the studio because they wanted to remain anonymous. Now, after gaining so much popularity in the charts, they decided to do their first live show.

"I cannot wait to see the look on her face when she sees us" Kazuya commented.

2 Days later

Right now, Kenji and Kazuya were looking around at the stage that they were playing at. Rather than playing at the Institute, they were going to perform on a stage placed in the main area near Tokyo Train Station. They liked the look of the place, and it had enough space for a very large crowd to watch.

"I really like the look of this place" Kenji commented.

"Yeah, it fits so well" Kazuya agreed.

"Hey, is Chizuru and your other friends going to watch?" Kenji asked.

"They sure are" Kazuya answered.

"Do any of them know that we are the people that created this?" Kenji questioned.

"Nope, I like the idea of surprising them with this fact" Kazuya explained.

"Alright, that sounds cool" Kenji stated.

Afterwards, they went to get things set up for Friday.

Friday

Today was the day that the musicians will perform a live show of their song 'Centimeter' in the main area stage. You could tell by all the people crowding up to be let in that everyone was extremely excited. Chizuru, Ruka, Sumi, Kibe, Kuri and Umi were making their way towards the audience area. It was great that Umi could come because he had been needing some time to take a break from doing work. Kazuya said that he needed to use the bathroom, so they went on without him.

"Man, I cannot wait to hear the song live" Ruka exclaimed, "It's probably my favourite song of all time"

"I couldn't agree more" Sumi agreed, "I will say, it is strange that they never revealed who they are"

"Well, there are many faceless musicians, so the added reveal is quite exciting" Umi stated.

"Yeah, this show will surely be a banger" Kibe added.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Mizuhara" a female voice called out.

Upon hearing that sentence, Chizuru slightly stiffened, she knew that voice all too well, and so did the others, apart from Umi. They all turned themselves around to see Mami Nanami standing right in front of them, with a huge smirk on her face. Normally, Chizuru would have really tried to keep herself from going violent, but the affects of dating Kazuya now helped keep her composure a lot more.

"Mami, what a surprise" she said sarcastically.

"I see you are here to see the live show" Mami commented, "Where's your boyfriend? He seems to be missing"

"Well, Kazuya just needed to go to the bathroom and will be back soon" Chizuru answered.

"Look, if you are trying to taunt her, don't even bother" Ruka told Mami, "Her and Kazuya are actually in a relationship"

"Really now, my that is some news to hear" Mami exclaimed, "But is it real though, or are you deceiving him again?"

"Back off Mami, we know what's been happening and no matter what you say, Chizuru loves Kazuya more than you ever did to him" Kibe pointed out.

"Not only that, he knows more about Chizuru than you do and has made clear that they wouldn't break apart" Umi added, now knowing who she was from what Chizuru has told him.

"Ok, shame that he doesn't seem to be joining you guys now that the show is starting" Mami informed.

Everyone turned to see that the live show was about to start, and this made everyone worried. Chizuru was confused at this point; she knew that Kazuya would always be by her side and never leave her. So why, why would he not be here with her? To watch the first ever live show of her favourite song. That all changed once the curtains opened. It was hard to tell at first due to the dim lighting, but Chizuru was able to make out the silhouette of Kazuya on the stage. Everyone was shocked at first, but they smiled knowing that Kazuya was in fact with them. Mami on the other hand was shocked because she thought Kazuya ditched them.

"Everyone, I bring you the makers of 'Centimeter'" The MC announced.

The starting of the guitar strum began the familiar song to all the fans before moving onto the iconic beginning. The bass added very nice background music, the drums added to the beat and the keyboard gave the melody more strength. The crowd was cheering for the amazing music and how good it was in real life. Chizuru was mesmerised by the sound made and Kazuya playing really added to it. She was really happy to have a musician for a boyfriend, seeing him do what he loves made her smile. Once it got to the guitar solo, everyone watched Kazuya play quickly yet smoothly and brought cheers from the crowd. Upon ending, Mami was still in so much shock. Chizuru turned towards her general direction and smirked before making her way to the backstage with her friends.

"That was amazing you guys" Ruka exclaimed.

"I never knew you made such a well-known song" Kibe exclaimed.

"We all had our contribution to it" Kenji replied, "Though, the whole thing was Kazuya's idea"

"Really?" Chizuru exclaimed, looking at him.

"Yeah, the lyrics that I wrote were kind of inspired by our relationship at the time" Kazuya explained.

"Oh, I see" Chizuru said, knowing full and well what he meant.

"Marvellous performance all of you" a voice suddenly called out. Everyone turned to see a middle-aged man in a suit.

"Um, who might you be?" Masanori questioned.

"My name is Hiroshi, I am a music agent" Hiroshi introduced.

"How can we help you?" Akane asked.

"Seeing you perform such an amazing show made me want to work with you" Hiroshi explained, "I was thinking that you can sign a contract with me so you can go on more live shows and tour around the world, make lots of money, it will be a one in a lifetime opportunity"

The six musicians all looked at each other with knowing looks, they all knew what was going through each other's minds and had their answer.

"No thank you" Kazuya replied. This in turn shocked everyone around them.

"What do you mean?" Hiroshi questioned, "You could be famous in doing this sort of thing"

"Look, we appreciate the offer Hiroshi" Kazuya started, "But that's not what we set out to do"

"Yeah, we just wanted to play music in the Institute because we enjoy doing it, not to be famous" Kenji explained, "And we are still young, so we want to spend our time the best way we can"

"Not only that, but a lot of us also have people that we care about here, because it's our home" Miyuki added, "We don't want to leave them for fame"

"Our main goal was to have people enjoy our music" Akane stated, "And that's what we plan on doing"

"Well then, I respect your decisions, you all have valid reasons" Hiroshi said happily, "Goodbye everyone, till we meet again". Afterwards, the musicians packed up and made their way back home.

Back at the apartment

"She really tried to make us sound bad and then after I showed up on stage, she was silent?" Kazuya questioned.

"Yup, you should've seen the look on her face" Chizuru replied.

Chizuru ended up telling Kazuya about the encounter with Mami and he was laughing quite a lot. It was true that Mami saw him as a pathetic loser, but she never knew he was a musician. So, appearing on stage, playing a song that she loved was quite the unexpected moment for her.

"Are you really sure about not going with that agent?" Chizuru asked.

"Of course, I want to stay here because playing music with everyone at the Institute is what I enjoy doing, so I don't want to lose that" Kazuya answered, "And I also don't want to be away from you, you are more important to me than anything"

"Aw, Kazuya" Chizuru exclaimed as tears started to form, "Thank you for thinking about me"

"It's because I love you" Kazuya said, holding her close.

"I love you too" Chizuru replied, kissing his cheek.
