As Hayden walks into his house, he couldn't stop thinking about Rachel. When he finally reaches inside, Toothless wails his tail as the black dog pounces on the boy, as Hayden laughs. 

"It took you a while just to get home." A voice said, which causes the boy to get the dog off him, as he saw Scott . 

"What, I just want to take the long way home, is that a crime?" Hayden asks his cousin as the jock smirks. 

"Just wondering, I am quite curious about how my little cousin is doing on his first day ." 

The boy rolls his eyes, knowing that his cousin just wants to tease him, just because he was lonely. 

"I'm going to finish my homework and head to the basement." Hayden said, as the dog follows him. 

"Gee, I wonder how the geek will do in the basement?" The Jock jokily asks as the young boy ignores him.

He settles down his backpack as Toothless looks at him with a curious expression. 

"I don't know , Toothless. Things haven't been easy for me. " He said to the dog as he was his only companion. 

As he finishes his homework , he went down to the basement. 

In the basement, he was constructing something, an electronically toils arena with a cage to save himself from being electrocuted. 

It was one of the projects that he wouldn't let Scott know, it was something that he wouldn't understand. 

As he was constructing the toils, his cellphone message text beeped. 

He opens up the text box, to reveal the message.

"Hey, Hayden. I was wondering if.. you could like to come over, I need a study buddy. -Rachel"

When he saw it was from Rachel, he couldn't say no. Immediately he races over as he took a deep breath as he makes a knock on the door. 

When the door opens, a man looks directly at the young boy. 

"Uh, Hi, Mr. Thorston. Is Rachel home?" Hayden asks nervously as the man yells, "Rachel, you have a visitor!" 

Rachel mumbles, "I can't believe that I ask Hayden for help with my studies. What was I thinking?"

She went downstairs to see the boy who was looking at her outfit. She wore a lightly green shirt and dark blue skirt. 

"H-Hayden. I'm glad that you came." She said, as her father walks away from the teens as Hayden looks at him.

"Is your dad always like that when there's someone new?" Hayden ask as Rachel said, "He's not used to new people unless it's someone he knows. 

It's nothing to be concern about." 

Hayden follows her into her bedroom, as he notices a dog who pounces on her. " This is Barf. He's a little ... uncontrollable." 

Hayden knelt down to the dog as the dog licks his hand. 

"Amazing! It seems Barf likes you that quickly." She said, amazed as he rubs his head. 

It was silent, as they don't know what to say to one other. 

"So, what you need help on?" Hayden finally asks. 

"Math. I'm not entirely smart." She said, turning red.

"Math, huh? Well, you're looking at the genius here." Hayden said, which causes her to laugh. 

As she opens the textbook, their hands intertwined , which causes both of them to jump and sit across from one other. 

As they finally finished, their eyes meet as Hayden comes a little closer, almost tempt to kiss Rachel, Timothy barges into the room. 

"Hey, what's he doing here?!?" Timothy exclaims. 

Hayden quickly got up from his seat, "I'm just helping Rachel with her math homework. I'll be leaving now." 

Rachel looks at her brother with an angry look, "What is your problem? Hayden is just a friend. Why you have to be protective?" 

"Because, 1, you're my little sister, Rach, and 2, you should be hanging out with Ashley and the other cheerleaders." Timothy replies to her question.

She got angry as she threw her pillow at her, "Get out of my room!" 

Timothy quickly dodges the pillow throw as he closes the bedroom door behind him. 

The next day, Hathor notices Rachel. "Hey, girl! What's been going on?" 

Rachel, who still not sure what these feelings she has since she invited Hayden to her house. 

"It's nothing." She said, as Ashley notices something suspious. 

"It seems like the dweeb has found something important than cheerleading." She said. 

Rachel flex her wrist, trying to control her anger with Ashley, Hathor pushes her best friend to the side, getting avoid attention from the other students. 

"What's up with you today? Did something happen with the new kid, Hayden?" She asks.

Rachel said, trying to hide her blush, "Maybe." 

Hathor couldn't handle her excitement, "Girl, I want the juiciest news, all of it!" 

Rachel said, "Come on, Hathor, there is nothing between Hayden and me. Besides, I barely know the guy." 

As they continue walking through the hallway, she bumps into Hayden!

"Rachel! Hi, Hi!" Hayden said, stammering nervously. 

Hathor said, "I'm going to leave you two alone for a bit." 

Rachel said, "Wait, Hathor!" But it came too late as the young teen was already gone from their sight. 

"Listen about yesterday, I'm so sorry that Tim interrupted us." Rachel said, turning to Hayden.

"It's ok. I mean, he's your older brother, isn't he? 

It's like his job to protect his sister like that. I.. um, was wondering..." 

Rachel's eyes grew in wonder of what Hayden was going say next. 

Ashley bumps Hayden hard, causing him to fall into the floor. "Look at him. Listen Rach, you don't have the time to go with this dork. C'mon, let's get to practice." 

Rachel gets uptight about what she has done, but Hayden touches her shoulder to reassure her that he would be all right. 

As she walks away , her phone beeped in a text. It was from Hayden. 

"Do you have any plans later? I'm free and I have the house to myself." - Hayden" 

She hesitated. Can she be able to go to Hayden's house without Ashley or Tim to force her against her will?

But she knew that she has to see Hayden, just for a while. 

She quickly makes a text reply before the school bell rang. 

She hopes that Hayden would get the message.
