It was a week , that Rachel and Hayden had their Spring Prom, as Rach was thinking about Tim . 

"Still worried about your brother, babe?" Hayden asks his girlfriend when they walking home from Berksville High. 

"Yeah, I guess. It's really hard on my mom, though. She intends to take off from her work all the time, and wanted to know about Tim's situation. 

It's hard to believe that Ash has abusive parents like that. That would explain her behavior in school. 

Why she hid it from the school for so long, and doesn't seek help?" The Cheerleader asks in total confusion. 

Hayden smiles a bit, as he slowly touches her hand, to reassure her, "It was too hard for her to bear, and I kind of understand it from her own perspective.   

She was trying so hard to blend in, she was invisible , just like I was. I didn't know what to do, what to say. 

But then everything I do seems to change." 

The teen looks at his green eyes in total confusion, "What changed your mind?"

That was when he leans over and kiss her on the cheek and replied, "It was because of meeting you, Rachel Thorston." 

Her cheeks seems to turn red by that comment as she said to the amputee, "H-Hayden! C'mon, that's totally embarrassing!"

As they approached the Thorston Household, Mrs. Thorston came home from the hospital. 

"Oh, Mom. I didn't know you're back." Rachel said. 

"Hm. There is something you should see. " 

We looked at each other, unsure by her voice as we were relieved by seeing my older brother in bed , asleep! 

"His injury isn't serious . The doctor said that he needs to stay in bed for a few weeks before he can use crutches . Ash is watching over him until he can be allowed to be back at school." 

Hayden said, "That's a relief. I'm glad that he'll be fine. Scott and the others would be relieved by this news, don't you think, Rach?" 

"Yeah. " Rach said, as the teen begin to smirk. 

Rachel and Hayden went back to Berksville High, as Rachel and Hayden had separate class periods, it was hard for them be apart. 

Although, Rachel felt at ease, of knowing that her brother is going to be all right, due to the horrific prom night that her abusive father had done. 

As the class was done, Freddy and Scott was waiting for Rachel and Hayden.

"Hey, you guys. I'm sorry that we're late." Hayden said, waving at their friends. 

"It's no biggie, it's not easy of trying to get together since we had sperate classes, and I had basketball practice later in the afternoon. So, what happened with Tim? Any news?" Scott asks.

"I hope nothing bad happens to him." Freddy said, as he was totally nervous about it, as Hayden and Rachel seems to laugh at the worried students. 

"Actually, it's awesome!" Hayden exclaimed, as both of the boys were confused by the amputee's excitement. 

Rachel said, as she said, "Tim is still out of commission for a moment, but the doctor said that the injury he had isn't too serious like Hayden had. He just needed to be in bed for a few days until he has crutches . " 

Scott said, in total relief, "That's good. I don't like of having another accident again. " 

Rachel nods, concurring , "I hope so too. Ash is taking care of him as we speak." 

"I just hope that everything is going well with them." Hayden said, "I know firsthand that having an accident really does an effect on people. " 

Rachel said, pouting at the amputee, "You really have to push that far, didn't you, Haddock?"

"Hey, I was just saying." Hayden said, trying to cheer everyone up as he possibly can , but he still wonders of what is happening right now, with Tim and Ash. 

Ash was waiting patiently for Tim to wake up. She held his hand as to being worried for the teen to be awoken. 

Then , all of a sudden, Tim finally opens his eyes to be shocked of seeing her in his bedroom. 

"A-Ashley?" He said softly , as Ash saw him was finally awoken. 

"Oh, thank god! Tim, you're finally awake! You literally scared everyone back at Prom." She said, as the memories came flooding back to him like a train running through the tracks. 

"Ash, I... " He begins to apologizes to her, but the teen quickly raises her hand, "It's quite stubborn of you to get yourself hurt like this, Timothy Thornton. 

You really have to get some rest, ok?" 

He said, "But seriously, Ash, how long was I out for?" The teen asks, as the former cheerleader seems to be distant before answering that question. 

She took a deep breath, "A week. It's been a week since that encounter with my... Dad. You're lucky that you got shot on your leg and didn't have any more serious injuries." 

Tim raises his eyebrow, "Oh, like with Hayden did with his car accident? I guess that is some improvement. " 

She laughs at that comment, as she realizes that she had to text the others about Timothy's sudden change on his condition. 

"I have to text the others about you being awake. I been monitoring you since you were in your coma state, and besides, Rachel was quite scared about you being shot." 

"Oh...." He said, realizing how much his sister must've been worried so much . 

"Go ahead. I'm not going to stop ya." He said. She nods as she sends a group text to their friends about him. 

As she ended the text, she was about to leave the room, she felt Tim's hand to prevent her from leaving. 

The teens look at each other for a moment, then without a second thought, they kissed, not as good friends , but like a couple would do . 

They were in total silence for a long time, until a beep of Ash's phone beeped, interrupt the lovely moment. 

"I have to go." She said, as the teen leaves , as Tim was all alone, leaving to his thoughts of what just happened to them. 

He thought in his mind, "Am I really falling in love with Ashley Hofferson?"
