Chapter 12
The next day after lunch, Akina found herself staring up at Aizawa eagerly.
"Today's traning will be a little different. You'll have three instructors. Me, All Might, and nother faculty member will be keeping tabs on you."
Three? Is that because of the security breach yesterday? Then that must mean it wasn't just reporters. Then again, I might be over speculating. That is a bad habit of mine.
"Sir! What kind of training is this?" Sero called out.
"Rescue. You'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, stuff like that.
"Rescuing, huh? Sounds like fun." Akina muttered to herself as the class started chattering excitedly.
"Guys, I'm not finished yet." Aizawa said, getting the attention back on him. "What you wear in this exercise if up to you, I know you're excited about costumes, but keep in mind you haven't gotten used to them yet, and they might limit your abilities." After the costume cases were moved out of the wall, Aizawa looked back towards the class. "Today's traning will be held in an off campus facility, so we'll be taking a bus to get there. That's all. Start getting ready."
At the words bus, Akina felt herself tense up. While she had been in some transportation in her time here, she had managed to avoid it due to her jr. high and U.A being within walking distance from Mina's house, and whenever she was in a car, she would keep the window open and that would slightly lessen the effect. But since she didn't know Troia like Wendy, she was subjected to the plague of DSMS, or Dragon Slayer Motion Sickness.
After everyone changed into their costumes, they boarded the bus, Akina sitting in the back and laying across a few of the seats.
"Yo, you alright?" Jiro asked, looking back at the sickly dragon slayer.
"Yeah, peachy." Akina strained. "Just some motion sickness. All Dragon- I mean it runs in my family. Kind of."
"That sucks." Jiro muttered, and Akina nodded, just waiting for the bus ride to be over, wishing for death.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
"Oh man! I never thought I would be this happy to see the ground again!" Akina shouted, jumping out of the bus and almost instantly feeling better.
"You really have a wicked case of Motion Sickness, Aki." Hagakure said, placing a hand on the mage's shoulder.
"Yeah, well, it's something I have to deal with." Akina said, scratching the back of her head before joining the rest of the class and seeing a man in a space suit waiting for everyone.
"Hello everyone! I've been waiting for you!" He said with his arms outstretched.
"That's the pro hero Thirteen!" Midoriya said from in front of Akina before mentioning some things about the man that Akina didn't bother listening to.
"I can't wait to show you what's inside." Thirteen said, motioning to lead everyone inside the building in front of them.
Walking inside, Akina couldn't help but be in awe about everything she was seeing. There were simulated natural disasters, a shipwreck area, a landslide zone, a storm area, a fire area, a collapsed building, almost everything that comes to mind when people say natural disaster.
"I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters! I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint! But you can call it, USJ!"
"Hey, shouldn't All Might be here already?" Aizawa asked as he walked up to Thirteen. "Let me guess, he booked an interview instead."
"Actually, it's something else." Thirteen whispered, Akina straining to hear what he was saying, "Apparently he did too much hero work on the way to school this morning and used up all his power. He's resting in the teacher's lounge."
"That man is the height of irresponsibility." Aizawa muttered with annoyance, before turning to the class. "Clocks ticking. We should get started."
"Excellent. Before we begin let me just say one thing. Maybe two things, possibly three, four, or five."
"We get it." The class inturrupted.
Suddenly Akina's gut feeling went off. As thirteen was talking about how his quirk could kill anybody, just like how many other quirks could, Akina instead focused on the feeling. Normally it was instinct, telling her if something bad was going to happen— after years in FairyTail, learning to trust her intuition was a useful skill— mainly when it came to a table being thrown in your direction or a wizard sneaking up on you. It worked as kind of a danger alarm system.
"Right, now that that's over-" Aizawa said, interrupting Akina's thoughts just as the lights around the USJ flickered, and the fountain in the middle of the area surged with water and a dark purple portal appearing in front of it.
The scent of fear rising from Aizawa gave Akina all the information she needed, this event wasn't in the plans.
"Stay together and don't move!" Aizawa commanded, "Thirteen, protect the students."
"What is happening?" Kirirshima asked. "Wait, has the training started already? I thought we were rescuing people."
"We are rescuing people. We're rescuing ourselves." Akina muttered, she was trying to look timid, like she didn't know what to do, but she, in Natsu's words, was 'fired up'. The multitude of villians coming out of the back mist was making her want to fight, bringing her back to when she went in jobs against dark guilds.
"This is real. Those are villains." Aizawa said, causing the class to start to panic.
Clenching her fists, it took everything she had not to jump into the middle of the villains. If anything from this world taught her anything, it was that these villains were nothing compared to the dark wizards she had faced, then again, this event could prove her wrong. Her eyes were trained on one villian in particular, a blue haired man with hands all over his body. It was then when a voice came out of the mist.
"The only real hero's I see are Thirteen and Erasurehead. Perplexing. According to the schedule we recived from U.A, All Might should be here as well."
"So you scumbags used the press as cover and snuck onto campus." Aizawa asked.
Aizawa's scarf unraveled itself from around his neck, and he jumped into battle.
"What, real villains? No way. How could so many of them get into a U.A facility this secure?" Kirishima said, seeming to be in slight denial about the whole situation.
"Yeah, Thirteen, why aren't the alarms going off?" Yaoyozu asked.
"Good question. I'm not sure."
"Is the entire campus under attack? Or is this their only target? Either way the alarm sensors aren't being triggered, so one of those villains must have a quirk that's masking their presence here." Todoroki observed.
"They obviously have a plan." Akina stated, looking down at the villians with a serious look on her face, looking intimidating to the others who were used to her usual happy of shy expression.
"Thirteen. Get the students out of here and alert the main campus. Actually if they've got the ability to block out sensors, then they might be jamming the radio waves. Kaminari, try using your quirk to contact the school." Aizawa ordered,
"Yes sir." Kaminari said as he placed his hand to the headphone like earpiece in his ear.
"What are you gonna do? You can't fight them on your own! There's too many of them, even if you can nullify their quirks, your fighting style's not suited for this! Your power works best in stealth and one on one fights. It's not going to hep with a group." Midoriya said.
"Can't be a pro if you only have one trick." Aizawa said before jumping down the stairs.
But still, going into a wave of enemies like that isn't smart. Akina thought.
Everyone was frozen, watching Aizawa fight the villians one on on, until everyone started running towards the door, Mina dragging Akira along with her. Though just before they managed to get to the exit, the same black mist that transported the villians into the USJ appeared before them.
"There's no escape for you." He said, beady yellow like eyes staring down at the class. "It's pleasure to meet you. We are the league of villains. I know it's impolite, but we decided to invite ourselves into this haven of justice to say hello. And besides, isn't this a fitting place for All Might, the symbol of piece to take his last breath? I believe he was supposed to be here today, and yet I see no sign of him. There must of been some sort of change in plans we're could not of foreseen. Ah well," the black mist expanded form the main figure like wings. "In the end i suppose it doesn't matter. I still have a role to play."
Before Thirteen could act, Bakugo and Kirishima attacked the mist villian, a giant explosion coming from Bakugo's hands.
"You think we were just going to sit by?" Kirishima asked.
"You really do love by your schools reputation. But you should be more careful children. Otherwise, someone will get hurt."
"You two, get out of the way right now!" Thirteen shouted.
"I'll scatter you across this facility to meet my comrades, and your deaths!" With that, black mist surrounded everyone, an Akina felt herself fall through a portal, landing roughly on some grass. Looking around it seemed she was at the foot of the landslide zone, fallen trees, piles of dirt, leading up to rocky type area.
"It looks like we've just been sent our first piece of newbie hero prey."
