Chapter 10
Glancing over her shoulder to see who was on both of those teams, Akina placed her fingertips together. Those two are against each other. She thought, seeing Bakugo glare and Midoriya. I never thought I'd have to say this so soon, but I hope to Mavis that nobody dies today.

It wasn't long until Akina was with the others in the monitor room, watching as All Might started the exercise.
Staring at the screens intently, Akina watched as Bakugo stalked the halls looking for the Hero team, who wasn't far off from him. It wasn't long until he jumped around the corner and threw an explosion at Midoriya.
"A surprise attack rom the start?" Someone asked.
"Bakugo, that's cheating!" Kirishima shouted. "A surprise attack isn't manly at all!"
"Everything's fair in battle." Akina muttered, not taking her eyes off the screen.
"A surprise attack is a strategy, too." All Might said out loud, confirming what Akina had just said, "They're in the middle of a real battle right now."
"Midoriya avoided it!" Mina exclaimed form beside Akina, an excited smile on her face.
Watching the fight, Akina noticed Bakugo was going for another attack, running towards Midoriya with his hand outstretched, though just before he was able to set up an explosion, Midoriya countered it with ease, turning and throwing the explosive blond over his shoulder to the ground harshly.
"He must of read his moves." Akina stated out loud.
"Why'd you say that?" Sero asked.
"They went to the same jr. high, right? Well Midoriya seems like he studies everything, from a person's movement to their quirk. So if you put that fact that they practically grew up together, Midoriya must know a few fighting habits of Bakugo. It's simple really." She explained, all the while not sparing a glance from the screen that was focused on the two's fight, unaware that everyone was looking at her in shock.
The fight continued on, Midoriya sent Uraraka away and she ended up capturing the weapon— though not before Deku made a giant hole in a couple floors and Uraraka used the debris as baseballs to distract Iida.
Unfortunately, her team was up next. She wished she could of been a bit later, and not right after the first battle. But despite her wishes it wad time for Akina and Todorki to go up. Looking at her opponents, she saw it was the guy with a tail— Ojiro— and Hagakure. Her team was the hero team, which Akina was thankful for, being a hero was much easier than a villain in her opinion.
The two headed to their designated building, standing in awkward silence for the villain team to get ready.
"What can you do." Todoroki asked breaking the silence between them.
"What do you mean?" Akina asked.
"Your quirk."
"Oh, that. I can control nature to some extent as well as use some offensive attacks. That and heightened senses." Akina explained vaguely.
"Alright then. You'll scout where they're hiding the weapon and I'll do the rest." He said, not sparing her a glance.
He's thinking of going in alone? Akina thought. "I don't think so." She said, narrowing her eyes slightly. "This is a team exercise, Todoroki. That and I plan on improving as well."
"If I do it, it'll be over quickly. We won't be wasting any time."
"But it's not smart to go in alone, no matter how strong you think you are you have to learn how to work with someone else." Akina said, looking away from him and staring at the building towering over him. "People have done what you're planning on doing before. You know what happened to them? They never fucking returned."
Todoroki looked at her with bland expression, noting the dark expression on her face. "Fine. But you better not let me down." He said coldly, not wanting to waste time arguing with the fiery haired girl.
"I promise you I won't." Akina said, her dark expression turning into a determined one, a toothy grin now on her face.
"All right, teams B and I, start!" All Might's voice boomed over the two and the hero team walked into the building.
Lifting her nose up into the air, she took in every scent she could, as well as listening for footsteps, perking up once she heard the sound of bare feet against concrete. "Hagakure is on the third floor moving around, most likely planning a sneak attack. Ojiro is on the fifth, stationary. That's probably where the weapon is located. You go after the weapon since you're more than able to beat Ojiro. I'll go after Hagakure, since I'll be able to sense where she is." Without allowing him to protest, Akina moved forwards and headed through the building, allowing her nose to lead her to Hagakure.
Back at the entrance, Todoroki had an even colder look than normal on his face. He couldn't believe that she just took charge like that, acting like she knew more than he did about being a hero, when he knew that he had more experience and strength than the girl. It annoyed him to no end. There was no way she was more experienced than he was.
Walking through the halls, Hagakure's scent was strongly surrounding her. Listening, she heard some footsteps behind her getting closer, and a quiet giggle. Jumping out of the way and turning in the air so she looked in the direction of the invisible girl, Akina gave her a smile.
"If you're trying to sneak up on someone, try not to giggle, 'Kay?" Akina said.
"Wait, you heard me and knew immediately where I was?" Hagakure asked, a piece of white tape being flung around in the air.
"You can't fool my nose." Akina said, tapping her nose. Now just to distract her. Shouldn't be too hard for someone like her. Though I could always just capture her and not have to worry. Sniffing the air again, Hagakure's scent drifted over from her left, it was obvious the girl was trying to sneak around to her behind Akina. Not wanting to waste time, Akina reached her hand out forwards and a magic circle appeared at certain spots of her body as vines shot out of her arm, wrapping around Hagakure's torso.
"H-Hey! This is cheating!" Hagakure shouted, the vines around the girls waist moving from side to side as she tried to escape.
"All's fair in battle." Akina said simply, a small smile on her face.
"Young Todoroki has successfully captured the weapon! Team B wins! Both teams please return to the monitor room for a quick evaluation." All Might's voice boomed, and the vines retreated back into Akina's arm.
Reaching her hand out forwards with a friendly smile, "You could of gotten me if you've been a bit quieter. But you really do have a talent for stealth."
Grabbing Akina's hand, Hagakure shook it, and the two parted ways— Akina to head to the monitor room while Hagakure went to grab her gloves and shoes.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
"This battle was quick, but I have determined the true MVP." All Might said once everyone was gathered for the evaluation. "Akina, you were able to take charge and make a plan quickly, as well as refusing to let young Shoto to do this exercise alone, which— if this were a real villian attack— he could of injured himself severely. With the battle between you and young Hagakure, you were able to scope her out using your enhanced senses and retain her movements with one quick move. Good going, you truely have a talent for strategies."
Bowing her head in thanks, Akina felt an icy glare at the back of her head and glanced over her shoulder towards Todoroki, their eyes meeting for a split second before he looked away.
And with a few more words from All Might about the others who participated— praising Todoroki on his freezing the room to get Ojiro frozen in place and get to the weapon, Hagakure and her plan to sneak around, and Ojiro got a good try, which was not encouraging for the tailed teen— the rest of the battles continued.
By the end of the day, Akina found herself comparing training results with some of her classmates, until there was a commotion by the door., sniffing the air, she realized Midoriya had returned and she walked up to see him, noticing that kids were introducing themselves to him.
After Sato introduced himself, Akina walked up beside Sero and nodded in greeting. "Hayashima Akina. Please feel free to call me Akina though."
"Oh- I- um- It's nice to meet you all!" Midoriya said, seeming to be nervous about all the people around him, until he noticed that Bakugo was gone.
Sighing, Akina watched as Mina headed over the the window along with some of the other girls, probably going to watch if something happened between the two. Deciding that she couldn't care less, she stretched, hearing her back pop, setting herself on a desk
"So, Akina, you doing anything after this?" Kaminari asked.
"Yes. Not hanging out with you." Akina said with an unamused expression. "Sorry, but your attempts at flirting are not only terrible awful, but I've been desensitized to this flattery." Hopping down from the desk she was sitting on, she glanced over to where Mina, Uraraka, and Tsuyu were looking out the window, muttering to each other.
Looking over her shoulder, she saw that Todoroki was glaring at her and she groaned to herself before heading over to stand right in front of him.
"Look, I guess we got off on a rough start." She started, ignoring the glare's intensity. "But can we put that behind us and maybe become friends?"
