Crawling desperation.

Miyo woke up completely sleepless this morning. She was constantly plagued by nightmares of thousands of people crying and begging. She dressed up and went to the kitchen to make breakfast. There was already Mineta bowing.
"Good morning, princess."
"Good morning to you."
Together they made breakfast. They were ready and ready to serve Kudou when the phone rang. He went to the phone and picked it up.
"Hello!"
"Master Kudou!" Godou. "An emergency has broken out."
"Explain."
"In the midnight hours of last night, the grotesquiers burst out of the legendary military graves. The Emperor has issued a dragon-level alert. We will be waiting for you at the special forces building as soon as possible."
"Understand and on my way."
Kudou hung up the phone and ran into his room and dressed immediately. He didn't think he'd have to deal with such an emergency while he was on duty. The last time a dragon-level alarm went off at the Himuro castle was 50 years ago, and it was reported to have ended with massive damage. He went back to the dining room and sat down and quickly ate breakfast, thanked them, and kissed Miyo's mouth as goodbye. Mineta's brain had difficulty understanding the events.
"Holy molly. He's fast running, like he pissing kerosene."
"Yeah." Miyo agreed with him, who was also in shock. Mostly because of the kiss on her mouth.

According to the program, Miyo continued his ethics classes in the morning. Mineta trained repeatedly, but in the meantime, he put together in his head the books that corresponded to her request, which are necessary for her culture expand. It would have made it easier for you if you knew her taste. Yurie's voice interrupt his thinking.
"Forgive me, young mineta, for interrupting your training, but I need your help. We need to get some stuff off the attic."
"Sure thing. By the way, I have a question." he said and jumped down next to her. "Is there a show in the nearby theater?"
"Good question." She was thinking, when they going back to the apartment. She finally remembered one thing. "Tomorrow afternoon, Romeo and Juliet will be performed in the Kyoshiro Theater."
"How relevant is this to Kudou?"
"He love Shakespeare's works, whether it's tragedy, king drama, comedy or tragic comedy."
"Do the Japanese play the Westerners? I jumped centuries back, but the method have not changed."
"What do you mean? Is there such a mix-up in your time?"
"Much worse." Mineta sighed, whey they arrived at the attic. "Some studios are doing such outrageous sh*t, that sometimes even my patience is being challenged. Anyway, what should I bring down?"
"The bonsai shear scissors and a bag of vegetable formula. Kudou ordered it from Europe. It's called a miracle, but it's no better than what's available here."
He nodded and get what she needed.
"May I help with the gardening?"
"No, thank you. Hana and I will work it out together. Go back to your training."
"Alright." he said and goes back the training area.

Turning back time, Kudou reached the special forces building, including his office, in record time. Kazushi, Godou and Arata was already waiting for him. After a quick greeting, he started.
"How many Grotesquiers do we have?" he asked and put up a giant map of Japan.
"More than three thousand." Kazushi answered. His smile are gone right now.
"Any damage so far?"
Arata fixed his glasses and pointed his finger at the map.
"Not yet. At present, nearby villages have been evacuated and emergency units have successfully maintained the line. But the 12th squad sent me a rather disturbing report."
"What do you mean?"
"There are signs of sabotage of the cemetery area. Seventeen of the twenty people assigned were torn apart by grotesquiers. One died of a stabbing. The last one is gone."
"This is not good."
Then a solider runed to the office and salute.
"Sir Kudou!"
"Stand down, soldier. Did you get the first front-line reports?"
"Yes, sir! Right now, we can hold them off until the Emperor's special forces arrive."
"How much time do we have to count?"
"At least two weeks."
"Understand! You can leave now."
Kudou's head was lined up with possibilities. It was impossible for there to be sabotage. More like an ambush by some crazy cult. Now he have to work on the threat.
"Kazushi! Set up a surveillance team immediately. I want to know everything from this point!"
"I understand."
"Arata! Take over the evacuation program. Our main goal is to make most of the villages completely depopulated! This will ensure that the damage is minimal."
"Consider it done." he said with a bow.
"Godou! You'll be my second in command. While I'm gone, you'll be running the operation. You don't take any action on your own, and if anything gets out of control, you'll call me anytime."
"Yes, sir! Thank you for your trust in me."
"The meeting is adjourned! You can go now."
Except for Arata, they all left. He was just looking at Kudou, who was pulling out the other reports.
"Is there any problem?" he asked with impatient.
"To be honest, I'm curious about something."
"Make it short."
"How's Miyo?"
"You saw yesterday with you own eyes."
"I'm just asking because she's a really pretty girl. A diamond in a huge pile of coal. And I'm a little afraid you can't give her the security, that she needs."
"What are you trying to say?" He asked a little nervously.
"As long as you're here almost every day, she's helpless."
"That's not true. My house, just like every other high-ranking man in the Special Forces, are protected by spells. And then there's my servant, Mineta."
"You referring the midget? Fair point, if he was able to made it draw with your duel."
"I think that dispelled your concerns."
"Naturally. I'll do my job."
He left, after bowing down. Kudou was able to focus on the reports again, but he felt a little strange about the whole conversation in his head.

After lunch, Mineta told to Miyo to come to Kudou's bedroom as soon as the dishes were finished. The books were in good order, but that didn't surprised him. He didn't waste any time and immediately took down the works of William Shakespeare, the Sherlock Holmes book and put it in a pile. When he was thinking about what to put down from the ancient Rome and Greek works, Miyo opened the door.
"I'm here as you asked."
"Thank you. You already have the chosen one right there." He said and did not look back. She looked at the book next to the futon. She thought it was part of it, so he took it in her hand and looked into it. Then her face turned red and started shaking her hands.
"Are you sure I have to read this?" she asked with stammering tone."
"Yes. Why?"
Mineta had a hard time turning around, and that's when he realized, what kind of book Kudou was trying to refer yesterday. For he saw that Miyo was holding the Kama Sutra in her hand. He immediately grabbed and closed it.
"I'm sorry, I didn't realize that. But, if you ask me, I'd include that. It's not a good thing to jump into your wedding night unprepared. It is irrelevant to our subject right now."
He went back to the bookshelf and put the book away."
"Kudou, you idiot. You could have said the title of the book." He murmured to himself, then took a deep breath and turned around. He gave a lecture on what he should read. Then he saw that Miyo did not sleep very well, but she was still able to listen.
"I understand and try to read as much as possible of your suggestions."
"We will replace one tomorrow. In the afternoon, Romeo and Juliet will be given in the nearby theater."
"Have you ever seen that? I mean, I might be asking stupid questions."
"Yeah. Plus future adaptations as well. We're talking about a real cult classic when it comes to Shakespeare's works. Come to think of it... why don't you start with a comedy?"
He take one book and give it to Miyo.
"Twelfth Night, or What You Will." She red loudly.
"Exactly. I think it would be good for you to have fun and laugh. I'll take the rest to your room."
"Won't Kudou mind to taking these?" she asked silently.
"What I learned from his morning rush, that this is the least of his problems."
Mineta stood up and stretched, then picked up the books.
"Right now, I'll put these down on your room and go shopping. And good reading for you. What you're done with, give it to me. I'll put it back."
"Okay. Thank you for your help again."
"It's really nothing. After shopping, I stay and read. If I don't have any more tasks."
She just smiled and stroked his face.

Around midnight, Kudou's car parked outside his house. But he didn't even have time to enter when he sensed a huge power spike from Miyo's room. He immediately ran, but to his surprise, Mineta got there early and opened the door. She trembled and constantly said that I was sorry. They woke her up.
"Miyo! Are you alright?" Kudou asked with worried tone. Her eyes slightly opened.
"Yes, danna-sama. I just had a bad dream." she whispered. Mineta touched her forehead with his left hand, then his own with his right. After a while, he lowered both hands.
"She has no fever. Thank goodness."
Kudou noticed that Mineta waved with one hand, so that they would not mention what they had experienced before. He quickly smiled and caressed her face.
"Drink some water and go back to sleep."
"Or green tea. One word and I'll do it" Mineta suggested.
"I don't need it. Thank you for your concern, but I just had a nightmare. Good night."
"Good night." They both responded and left the room. Then they went to the dining room, where Mineta served Kudou's dinner, before he started his.
"Did you feel the same, as I did?" he asked, when they sit down.
"Yes. I felt a powerful force around Miyo's room." he answered and took the chopsticks. "I ran there because I suspected an intruder."
"I can't find any physical or mental damage to the spells surrounding the mansion. But one thing is very strange. Can Quirk users feel the Gifts?"
"I don't know. If you have to ask me, I'm susceptible to what we call paranormal in our time."
"What do you mean?"
"I can feel the force projections, whether it's negative or positive. Saved from the long explanation, I can see the ghosts. It is also called the third eye."
"How long have you known this for yourself?" he asked, after eat a bite.
"From the age of six. There was a rumor in the orphanage that a little girl died last year, from the time I got there. In addition, in the bed that was my bed. I did wake up one time, sitting next to me, staring at me with grey, empty eyes. I didn't have the strength to move, either to scream. She was harmless, and all she cared about was who was lying on the bed. Within a few minutes she was literally gone."
"Is it possible that you were half asleep?"
"She appeared 20 times a year. It would be a strange coincidence."
Kudou can't say anything about this. Finally, he wanted to change the subject.
"Did you start Miyo's education classes?"
"Yep. She started the "Twelfth Night, or What You Will." comedy by Shakespeare. By the way, you're a rare moron."
"Why do you said that?"
"That you left the Kama Sutra in your bed. And I only noticed it, when Miyo read it. So I don't take responsibility..."
"Okay, I get it." he sighed and finished his meal.
"By the way, tomorrow we'll go to the Romeo and Juliet play with Miyo. I thought you could come with us.
"I'm sorry, but we're on the verge of a huge crisis. I will hardly be home."
"Oh, I see."
"Nevertheless, have fun with that. I'm going to sleep."
"Good night, master."
"Good night."

By the next day, Miyo's eyes began to ring. Because there was no ethics today, Mineta thought it was time to put his ace for insomnia.
"You should sleep a little before lunch."
"But I'm not sleepy." she whispered, when he look of her face.
"I can see in your eyes that that's not true. However, I know the perfect way to relax."
They went to her room, but on the futon, it was felt that it was soaked in cold sweat. So Mineta laid her in his own futon. Then took out his phone and started explaining.
"There's a very old musician in our time who's known as the Aindulmedir. Two of his three albums are considered by professional press to be the most magical album, which allows anyone to fall asleep. I'm going to play my personal favorite, the Lunar Lexicon, but I'm also going to run Star Lore. Fortunately, I have these and they helped me when I was suffering from insomnia."
"It's very kind of you to try so hard to help me."
"This is what friends for. I won't make it too loud and I'll be right here with you. Okay?"
In response, she just smiled. Mineta started the music and watched the battery charge. Since it was only turned on every three days, there was plenty of half in it. Put it down so that the speaker is not blocked. She held out her hand to him. Deep down, he knew two things. One is that Kudou would misunderstand, and the other is that he used it to make a little commercial for Dungeon Synth's best album.
"It's really like, what you said." She whispered with closed eyes. Finally, Mineta couldn't take it anymore, and he fell asleep sitting, in the middle of the song called Libarian. Hana woke them up. ?Miyo found this effective because he really didn't have nightmares. They thought it was a success, but hoped that it would not be a temporary solution.

Five minutes before 3 pm., Mineta, Miyo and Hana went into the Kyoshiro theater. Because Kudou knew about this, he paid for the tickets to Mineta this morning and gave him more money for a restaurant. It's a four-hour act with one break (at least Mineta remembered it that way.). When they sat down, they were surprised.
"Oh, you guys? Good to see you here. A coincidence, but a great pleasure."
Arata sit down behind them. Mineta turned to him.
"What are you doing here, if I may to ask?"
"Relax, why else? That's why you're also here, isn't it?"
"True." he whispered and turned to the stage. He knew in his head that Arata was lying. If he believe Kudou, he'll have to solve a great crisis, and theoretically, he's in the Special Forces. Then the question is, what the hell is he doing here with? At this point, he did not believe that this was a coincidence, but his thoughts were disturbed by Miyo, who poked his shoulder.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"I'm not finished "Twelfth Night, or What You Will.", but it's funny."
"Glad to hear that."
"Is Romeo and Juliet is comedy too?"
"To be honest with you, it's not. But you will see that."
When the lights went out, the play began. Everyone watched the first half with great attention, but Mineta reaped five minutes before the break by Arata.
"Can we talk in the break, please?"
His only answer was a thumbs-up. He didn't want to rip his tidy hair and call it a jerk, or he'd get Kudou into trouble. Tea and snacks were brought out in the waiting room, when the break started.
"So tell me, what's the important thing you want to talk to us about?"
"Well, I'm curious, does Kudou really give this beautiful lady everything she needs?"
He pointed at Miyo. Hana answered first.
"Yes. Kudou is a great man and always has her best interests in his mind."
"Agreed. I've seen their relationship grow since the beginning." Mineta nodded to his sentence.
"Danna-sama love me and I love him."
"I'm willing to believe that. But what about the fact... when your family kidnapped you? Can you say the same thing in light of that?"
This is where Mineta's know what's his game fell out, like the quality of the Promised Neverland's second season. He took a deep breath and responded.
"It was an unexpected ambush that none of us were prepared for."
"I'm asking Miyo, not you." he said impatiently and arrange his glasses.
"Yeah. If he had known in advance, he could have prevented it. But..."
"Please tell me that, when these two servants are not trying to cloud your opinion."
Miyo was frozen in words and could barely speak. She didn't know what to do. Mineta, on the other hand, ran out of patience.
"You're gonna be a little too much, for the body bag to zip up your chest hair. What are you wondering about Miyo? You want to seduce her?"
He didn't answer. Mineta looked at him with contempt.
"This is your little mind game. It's bullsh*t that all I came about for the play. You really want her as your wife, don't you?"
"A little out of your imagination, don't you think?"
"On the contrary, I see such things far away. But I'm asking the question. Why are you here when you have to deal with a crisis?"
"How did you know that?"
"Guess two..."
Arata smiled and took out a business card and handed it to Miyo.
"If you are interested and have nowhere else to turn... you can look for me."
She took it with thanks. In the case of Mineta, he didn't finis. He squatted down to his level.
"There's an old Japanese saying that you shouldn't stick your tiny nose in the business of nobles."
"Right. There is a new American saying. "Don't listen to the old Japanese sayings." Also, I really hope you're sitting far away from us in the second half of the play. Got it?"
He just turned around and instead of going back to the auditorium, he left the theater.
"What was that?" Hana asked.
"In our time, we call it seduce." Mineta answered. "He basically tried to seduce Miyo from Kudou. I used to think men like that didn't have spines."

After the break, the second half of the play went down. Miyo and Hana cried at the end, but Mineta couldn't enjoy it. He was always thinking about Arata. He could have suspected that some men did not appreciate Kudou's decision and tried to twist Miyo's head, but he had never seen such a method. While they were out of the theater, he was sure that tell Kudou about this as soon as he had the opportunity.
"Thank you for bringing us to this play." Hana said with a smile.
"It's nothing. You didn't think he'd take such a hard turn, did you?"
"Yeah. It's so sad that the two lovers couldn't get married." Miyo sighed. "Why didn't you cry on it?"
"I've seen it so many times, so can't move me anymore. Macbeth is still give me shock. I've seen it three times and read the book, but it's very gloomy. That's why we'll leave it for later. Now, let's go to dinner. You decide the restaurant."
After dinner, they headed straight for the Kudou residence. Halfway a car stopped in front of them. Mineta was about to put the girls back in fear of another abduction, but Kudou got out of it.
"Let the squirrel put a nest in your nose! My heart almost stopped." Mineta noted loudly.
"I apologize for scaring you. I saw you guys and thought we'd go home together."
"Thank you, danna-sama. We accept that." Miyo said and hugged him.
"next time, honk or shout in front of us. Because it was a cruel joke, if you ask me." Mineta grumbled, and Hana giggled a little. When they got into the car and left, the girls reported on Romeo and Juliet.
"I'm glad you liked it. It was a good idea about this education and Mineta did a good job."
"Thank you. Although, there are a few other things we need to talk about."
"Of course."
When they stopped in front of the his apartment, Kudou and Mineta stayed in the back.
"I get to the point. Does anybody know about Miyo goes the theater?"
"I told Godou because he asked."
"Arata heard that?"
"He was nearby. He left this afternoon, saying he had urgent business to attend to. But three hours later, he came back, and while he was smiling, for some reason, I could feel the anger on him."
"I know it. Goddamn rat."
"What happened?"
Mineta then reported on the events that took place during the break of the play. Kudou listened attentively. By the time he finished, he began to think.
"So you telling me, that he tried to... what are you called?"
"Seduce her. He didn't try, he did. When I intervened, he gently sent me in a warmer climate. I don't know what this guy's really like, but he gave me the impression of a rare dick grinder, that's sure."
"I don't think you should worry about that. I know you can protect Miyo."
"But you said it yourself, that I can't get involved with just anyone. I still held myself back so I wouldn't throw uglier things at his head."
"I know. But you won't see him again. As a result of the crisis, he cannot leave again without permission."
"I hope so."
"What's that other thing you wanted to talk to me about?"
"Is there some weirdo in town who can charge my phone?"
"Phone?"
"You know what I had in my hand in the first chapter?"
"First chapter?"
"When I got here."
"Oh, that is a phone." he said and scratched his head. "There's an electrician, but there's no way he can help you with that. Why do you ask?"
"Because it's slowly dying. I don't have a lot of hope that they'll look for me from the future, but Miyo successfully avoid nightmares, when she sleep with one of the phone's music."
Kudou was too tired to ask any more questions, so he just shrugged his shoulders and went inside.
"After all, you're just making a path for the devil. That's the worst, isn't it?"
"You said it, not me." he smiled and followed.

A week passed, and the only good news is that the electrician found a way to charge Mineta's phone. And in the most bizarre way, with another charger. He said his son found him days before he went to a Buddhist shrine to pray. It was also a new one, which only raised more questions than it gave answers. Kudou went in the morning and came home in the evening when everyone was asleep. He talked about it with Mineta once and says that although it is still under his control, everything is moving very slowly. But Miyo's condition continued to deteriorate. Her nightmares kept coming back. As a result, she was completely sleepless, one of the most characteristic signs of which was the disturbance of concentration constantly interfered with the ethics classes. The most ominous sign was when she collapsed in the afternoon. Mineta was do the laundries nearby, when she noticed Hazuki's screams.
"Miyo! Miyo! Everything alright?!"
He ran in and saw the situation. He immediately put his fingers around her neck. She had a pulse, and as he leaned closer, he heard her breath.
"She passed out by exhaustion. We need to call Kudou immediately."
"I do it. Can you put her in a bed?"
"I'll figure it out somehow."
He didn't really want to drag her, so he took one of his own and put it in there. Until then, Hazuki called his brother. It wasn't even an hour before they heard the parked car, followed by an instant car door opening and close and then a rush. When he came to the room, he saw that there was no big danger, but he called the company.
"This situation is getting worse and worse. She constantly suffering from nightmares that involve powerful force spike. She's losing weight and she's always losing her focus." Hazuki said the truth.
"Have you tried everything to alleviate it?" Kudou ask to Mineta.
"Everything. The music on the third day was completely ineffective, the herbal teas were worthless and other psychological ways felt like you wanted to run into the train on a bicycle." Mineta answered, while he was deeply into his thoughts. "There is only one logical assumption."
"What is that?"
"Miyo has a gift. I know it goes against common sense, but I have an explanation. How old is the age at which people's power awaken?"
"Four years at top." Hazuki answered, before Kudou.
"This is the same as Quirk. However, there is an isolated subcategory known as late awakening. In essence, it means that the power is latent and wakes up much later."
"So you're saying her gift woke up late in her?" Kudou ask.
"Yes."
"It's possible, but I've never seen anything like it. If your theory were true, it could use elementary forces."
"Unless it's from the Usuba bloodline."
After that, they fell into deep silence. Mineta's suggestion was logical, but none of them knew where the Usuba family was. They were always hidden, and they weren't even sure if they were happy to help. Finally he looked at them.
"Since you're very busy, I'll take over this investigation. I'm leaving today and I have an idea. Visiting the red light district."
"Are you an idiot or what? Kudou asked with ander, holding his hands in a fist. "Do you want to go and experience the joys of the body?"
"Did I say anything about that?"
"No. Sorry for my shout." he sighed. "So, what's in your mind?"
"In our time, the characters of detective novels went down to the underworld segment for information. In this case, what could be best for us? A courtesan who, with her beauty, can expand people so much that they give out information about themselves. And I heard a name from one of your men. Otogiri.
"I heard that name too." Hazuki noted. "The most beautiful woman in Japan."
"She is not pretty as Miyo."
"That's not the point. This idea is genius. And since your servant is going there, you won't be suspected by cheating." Hazuki said and look to her brother. He found the idea risky. He had an informant, but to the crisis, it would take him weeks to complete his request."
"Fine by me. I'll give you money for that."
"I know it's a lot, but I'll pay you back, when I get the pay."
"I want something else in return." he said and kneeled before him. "Go as fast as you can and don't come home until you have some information."
"That's my plan all along."
Then Hazuki picked up Mineta and embraced him. But this time it wasn't the rib-crushing kind, it was really gentle.
"I am so grateful that my brother and his future wife have such a self-sacrificing friend."
He wanted to open his mouth, but suddenly he couldn't answer. He felt the warmth of what she said to him. He finally sighed.
"I do, what I promised to them."
He was ready to leave in a few minutes. Kudou gave him a thick pouch that he had put away.
"Should I give you a ride?" he asked.
"No. You have to stay in here." he answered and goes to the train station.

By the time Mineta got to the red light district with the best brothels, it was already evening. The lights also lit up, which gave a pleasant atmosphere. Horny men looked at the girls in turn, although they certainly did not have the money. Slowly, he arrived at a place called Magical Paradise. Looking up, he found that this building deserved its name. It was properly decorated and even the line would have begun to gather. He did not waste time and went in. There was already received by Madame.
"Good evening! Can I help you?"
"Good evening." he greeted with a bow. "I'd like Otogiri for an hour."
"Are you not too young for the pleasures of the body?" she asked with a giggle.
"I'm a dwarf, but I've gone 18. And then this decides, isn't it?"
Then he took out the purse and shook it. The madame's smile couldn't cover the moment's shock.
"So be it. I'll ask if she's free and accept it."
She waved her hand at another girl and something whispered in her ear. She just nodded and left, but came back a minute later.
"Otogiri welcomes you. Please, follow me."
Mineta followed the girl. By ear, it was noticeable that almost all the rooms in the brothel were occupied. He swallowed and shook his head. He would take advantage of the opportunity under normal circumstances, but now he have to focus on the task. They stopped at the last room.
"Go inside. The courtesan you requested will wait inside." she bowed at the end. Mineta took a deep breath and entered the room. She was sitting in a chair inside and smoked pipe, then blowing out the smoke. He had heard that she's beautiful like a miracle, but it even surpassed his imagination. She had a body from the edge that professional painters wouldn't be able to create on the canvas. Even the kimono reinforced this, with a tasteful floral pattern highlighting her slenderness. Her face really took the prime. Wonderful features and almond -cut eyes like Miyo, which bronze brown irises looked at his soul properly. If that weren't enough, then her hair -folded hair and excellent makeup made that point for that particular I.
"Welcome to my realm. State your name, young one."
Mineta was hypnotic for a while. Her voice was also so silky, which was stopped his heart for a moment. He shook himself and leaned over to her.
"My name is Minoru Mineta! It is a great honor for me to be here."
Suddenly, driven by an idea, he extended his hand, which is not really customary here. She was surprised, but returned the handshake and still got a kiss on her hand. She chuckle a little.
"You're a very strange man. But polite, I'll give you that. I had a good feeling when they forwarded your request to me and I accepted it."
He just rose and laughed with his back of his head.
"I didn't know that..."
"I'm an Oiran here. That means, that I can choose to whom I will give the key to the gates of paradise."
She sucked one more into his pipe, then fluttered the remaining tobacco in a metal storage. She did not take her eyes off the guy opposite him.
"What would you like?"
"Buying information."
"Are you standing in front of the gates of paradise and not wanting to experience the pleasures of the flesh?" she asked in a slightly strange voice.
"Yes. As offensive as it may sound, my master is currently in such a huge problem that only you can help me. If I wasn't in a situation where I'm trying to shovel manure back into the cow, then yes, I would. Plus, I would give you the contents of the whole purse. Although, you will definitely get this, no matter what."
Otogiri chuckled again, though it quickly burst into laughter. Mineta lived in the belief that she would now tear his face with ten nails and throw it out of the window. His legs trembled and he had to put up a great deal of resistance to escape. To his surprise, the opposite happened. She stood up and bent down to him.
"I've been a courtesan for a long time, but I've never seen a man like you. Everyone just wants the carnal pleasure I give them. Instead, you have selfless goals. That remind me of someone."
"Whom?"
"Me. I chose this work to help my parents. But that's not the point now. Alright. Sit down there, please."
Otogiri pointed to the ornate armchair-sized velvet chair on the edge of the table. He sat down with a grateful smile and waited quietly to see what would happen. Otogiri pulled out a smaller bottle.
"Sake?"
"Yes, that it is."
"I didn't mean it for that." she giggled. "Would you like some?"
"I will stay at the tea if I can."
She walked towards the other side of the room, which was kind of a mini kitchen. After a while she brought the fresh tea.
"Mint and ginger. Refresh the body and mind." she informed and handed over one cup.
"Thank you."
"And what would you like information about?"
"The Usuba dynasty."
"No wonder you turned to me."
"Do you know everything about them?"
"No. I think only those in that family know about it. They are surrounded by more secrets than reality behind tales and legends. However, this does not mean that I can serve nothing specific."
"Even the smallest vital information helps me a lot."
Otogiri sat back in her chair and filled her pipe with tobacco and lit it. After a suction, she blew out the smoke. Mineta drank her tea and watched her with his eyes.
"The Usuba family is one of the first generation nobles. That means that the first Gifts can be connect to them. Initially, they were quite active in the domestic and foreign affairs of Japan, but as more noble families emerged, they pushed themselves into the background."
"Why? Didn't they have enough respect?" Mineta asked while Otogiri sucked the pipe again.
"They are still in the highest esteem for the emperors to this day. Only their perceptions and actions were far confronted with the tradition. Although this caused only minor conflicts, no internal war was ever born because of them. Not a high-ranking man told me, that he was from the Usuba bloodline, that was just plain nonsense. Because they don't really like to get married outside the family."
"Then what is the reality of the present situation?"
"Just a series of guesses. If I can believe the rumors, then 4 Usuba are alive these days. Furthermore, I know of one for sure, but he's been gone for a long time."
"Who?"
"Usuba Sumi."
"Miyo's mother?" he whispered in shock, by the time Otogiri chuckled.
"Then we have one of the lives for sure."
"Dam. I don't want..."
"It's okay. I can't really do anything, with this information. In exchange I'll tell you my own tip, who's the other alive Usuba family member. Arata Tsuruki."
"Just as I thought. I have always had the feeling of hiding something, but then I'm not alone with that."
"You're very desperate if you trust the tips." Otogiri giggled.
"Did you have a client who could at least give you a hint as to where their mansion is?"
"No. They also hide from curious eyes. But I can also give a suggestion for this."
"What is it?"
"Find the most decorated apartment. Since the Usuba family is also a noble bloodline, they have exhibitionism in them."
"Thank you kindly for this." he said after he drinks the tea and bowed. "But I have to go. I don't want to waste your time, when you visit much better clients than me."
Otogiri was surprised. Almost all of her guests wanted to stay with her, but now she was confronted with the exception. Her smile rather became flirty, while she sucked one more from her pipe.
"Just stay. In fact, take off your kimono and lie down with a stomach down to futon."
"There's really no need for that."
"I think differently. I want to give something more if I can serve that much. Especially in the light of the fact that you have been undressed with your eyes. Don't think I didn't notice. I read from men as other from books."

Mineta just sighed and did what she asked for. Otogiri got up, walked over to him and sat down slightly on his butt.
"I'm not hard?" she asked with a silky tone.
"No." he replied when he felt that the pressure on his shoulder blade was less, but more pleasant, which gradually progressed at all points. She giving him a massage he was never had before.
"Your body whisper the fact, that you really enjoy this." she laugh a little.
"I am very grateful for it. Today I went a little through the other side of the horse when I trained."
"I noticed that. But feat not. Why? Because I am here."
"Iconic quote from All Might."
"I never heard for that guy."
"True, because he was said in the future. I come from there."
Otogiri chuckled at the statement as her hands gradually moved down. Mineta at this point has already understood how she know so much about a lot of things. Her personality, beauty, and actions were unintentionally able to spill out things from men, that would be kept under a secret. He wanted to steer the subject and while the massaging was going, they talked about literature. He no longer unexpectedly the fact that she was excellently educated. When she finished, she went to one of the lockers. There she took out a file and put it on the table.
"Here's some more information you might find useful. Use them as you can."
"Thanks. Your massage was heavenly. It's like a real goddess did it." Mineta said in gratefully, as he took back his kimono. Then he went to the table and pushed the entire contents of the purse toward to her. she took half and gave back the rest.
"The whole money is yours. You earned it."
"I'm pleased with that much. In return, I ask you to get back to me, whatever happens."
"I promise." he bowed and put back his stuff.
"Be succeed in your journey, Kudou's young servant."
He was shocked by this fact. He turned back slowly and looked into her eyes.
"How does you know?"
"I also know about a lot of things, that I shouldn't know about." she answered and went to him and kissed him in the cheeks. She whispering in his ear, as she continued. "But don't worry. I haven't even seen you, and the next time you come back... it will be your first time."
Mineta's face became extremely hot at the point where the lips were touched. He bowed and left. Outside, he even greeted the Madame. He felt that he was successful.

His return home was more uneventful. The only thing he noticed in the distance was a huge mansion he had never seen in his life.
"Such a big mansion. That family probably compensating something." he noted to the readers and continued his way back home. Kudou waited him impatiently.
"Good evening, master." he said with a bow.
"Stop with the formalities. Did you find out anything?"
Mineta took out the documents. He picked it up and looked at it quickly. More and more, his eyes suggested that reality fell on him.
"Got anything else?"
"Just wild guesses."
"And as I see it, you had a good time, too." Kudou smiled and pointed his face, where Otogiri kissed him. There was a trace of her lipstick.
"Dammit! Don't think anything wild. There was no sex, only massage."
"You must have made quite a positive impression on her. If I can believe the rumors, she is very selective, about who she's choosing and how much she's giving to the client."
"All this time, I felt like she thought I was exceptional. How's Miyo?"
"Little better. Hazuki is teaching me how to meditate. She refuses to tell me anything about this."
"You may feel that it would be a nuisance, if report you about her nightmares."
Kudou just nodded. He has never been in this situation since Miyo is the first woman he has feelings for.
"I'll tell you the truth, I'm clueless. The crisis that we have to solve, I can handle. but this whole Usuba thing and Miyo's nightmares..."
"I have an idea. I've got a culture class with her tomorrow. Wow, I'm like a real teacher." he whispered the last part, but shook his head. "The point is, I'm gonna convince her to talk to you straight."
"You think, that would work?"
"If I gave her the ultimate encouragement, to admit that she doesn't have a gift, then it won't be a big deal either."
"I see."
"Come home tomorrow at a normal time. We need to be sure in this."
"I don't promise anything because I really can't. Maybe one excuse... nevermind. I don't want to talk about it. Go and get some sleep. But first, take a bath, because I feel like you're drenched in sweat."
Mineta just bowed and left, leaving Kudou alone with his thoughts.

The next afternoon Miyo opened the door to Mineta's bedroom, holding the book Julius Ceasar.
"Thank you for the recommendation. But I'm not like this genre, called king drama." She said with a smile. The nightmares and the resulting sleeplessness were already visible on her. Mineta caressed her face, which surprised her.
"You're starting to look worse. I think you should rest in this area for a few days. You've read some pretty thick books."
"I don't need that. I love reading." she whispered with unchanged smile. It was time to change the subject.
"You know what marriage like?"
"I don't know."
"It's basically like a mirage. In the distance you see an oasis, huge trees and camels. But when you get there, the oasis, the trees disappear and you're left alone with the camel."
She just laugh a little for his answer. He continue.
"I'm just kidding." Mineta said with a smile. "Marriage is like walking hand to hand in a park. One of you is slowing down or accelerating, but the main thing is to adjust your pace to each other."
"I get it, and that is great wisdom. But I don't understand, why you're telling me?"
"Because of your nightmares and sleep deprivation. If I were you, I have to tell me this."
"But you already know this."
"Not for me, but for your future husband."
"I'm sure danna-sama wouldn't care. He's working all the time, and he's already burdened with that."
"I think otherwise. I'm sure he'll try to help you or maybe he'll find a way. If nothing else, he would give you spiritual support that might help you."
Miyo was silent. Mineta caressed her shoulder.
"trust me. So far, I've successfully told his reaction to things. It will be no different now."
"I'm sorry, but I can't do that. No matter how hard you try to convince me, I'm afraid he'll push me away."
"Think about that later. Now, get some rest and pull yourself together. There is no light at the end of the tunnel, but it will always be there. Even if it's honking."
She laughs again.
"Can I borrow your phone?"
"You wanna try music again?"
"Yes."
"Then sleep here. I have a fresh futon and I have to go to work in the garden anyway."
He quickly took his phone off the charger and put in the usual music that miyo listens to when he falls asleep. He knew it was ineffective, but he didn't want to break down her remaining little hope of this situation.

Kudou couldn't process the events of the afternoon. Miyo is completely silent about her own problems, even though they are almost very dangerous in every way. She's having nightmares, which were associated with huge power spike, and it's starting to have a serious impact on her health. It didn't help that the Grotesquier crisis didn't stop either. As a result, he came home early in the evening and sat on the balcony after dinner and stared at the moon in his own thoughts. This is when Miyo came.
"Danna-sama! Can I join in?"
"Sure." He answered with a smile. She had a tray with a teapot, two cups, and some sweets in her hand. She sat down and poured into both cups. Kudou has the perfect opportunity to talk. He hoped that he could somehow convince her of his truth.
"Miyo! I know we didn't get a chance to talk much because of all the activities. I deeply apologize for that."
"It's not a problem."
"Is something really bothering you?"
"Nothing big to worth mentioning." Miyo said with a smile.
Kudou didn't want to say, how much this answer was faked in his eyes. Fortunately, she change of subject.
"Can you tell me what it was like to grow up with Hazuki?"
"Good question. After all, I never told my past."
"Mind if I ask?"
"It's okay. We both got pretty good results when we were in school." he said, while she refill his cup. He figured, that this answer is not personal. "My sister is really loud and sometimes she gets on my nerves. But I think Mineta once told me. "You can choose your friends, but not your family." We grew up in the same environment and we understand each other perfectly. Even if we don't have the same personality, I can't think of a better sister. Is this answer good for you?"
"Yes, danna-sama." She answered and looked at the other side of the garden. She was jealous of him, because she had never had such a calm and peaceful family environment.
"Can you sit closer?" Kudou asked and waved at her. Now he's got it in his head, that he's definitely trying to encourage her to hear her voice. Fortunately, she was closer to him. That's when he grabbed her hands. Now or never, he said the following sentences in the strongest possible terms.
"If you're lonely, say it. If you are suffering, don't keep it to yourself. Otherwise, I can't understand what's going on around you."
She turned away as if she didn't want to see her face.
"I'm not lonely..."
"I do miss spending time with you. Don't you have the same feeling?"
He turned her face a little bit to see, what was wrong. She's struggling with Tears.
"I miss to be with you."
He hugged her gently.
"Then you can say it. You can rely on me. You can tell me everything that is in your heart. Be selfish and make your voice heard. I love you as you are."
"Yes, danna-sama."
"You can show me your true side and I will always be there for you. This is what a happy marriage is all about."

They stayed like this for a long time before Miyo calmed down and stood up.
"I'm going to sleep. Good night, danna-sama."
"Good night to you." He answered and watched as she returned to her room. Then he looked up at the roof. "What's your opinion, Mineta?"
"How did you know I was here?" he asked back.
"Miyo may not have noticed, but I did. your feet are hanging from the edge of the roof."
"Rats! I didn't want to ruin the moment in any way." he hissed and jumped down to the roof. "Why do you ask me anyway?"
"'Cause you'd tell me when no one asked. That's okay, because this is the best reason, why I love your company."
"At least someone appreciates it." he laughed a little and sat down next to the tray. "You're absolutely right, and don't think I haven't tried to talk to Miyo about the same thing. The only little problem is that, thanks to her family, she has no intention of talking. They f*cked up is her spirit along with his self confidence, that her feelings and opinions are completely overshadowed."
"You couldn't convince her then?"
"You can see that with your own eyes. She keeps telling me, that you don't want to hear her nightmares, because you've got enough on your own. I have to admit, no matter how great a couple you are, without communication, it's going to be a total wreck."
"You're right. But I don't understand why you're acting so liberated when you didn't have a better family and social background?"
"Everyone lives things differently. Since I have nothing to lose, because I'm ugly and nobody gives a dime, if I live or die, it doesn't matter to me. Although, since I've had you, I've been trying to control myself."
"And you're not ugly, and you'll find the right one someday. Beauty is subjective and irrelevant to me. But you get the point."
"Repeat this so I can believe it." Mineta laughs and pointed himself. "In my day, everyone else is hot and sexy. It's no different here. Although, I don't care anymore. I gave up on my relationships a long time ago."
Kudou watched his face for a long time. He seemed to be very jealous of him. Maybe he could cheer him up with something.
"I don't think my sister thinks you're ugly either. She is also very positive towards you."
"Yeah. If we overlook the age difference, they can't do that about social status. This is not a romantic book, where the noble and the servant married and live happily after."
They both laughed at that. In the meantime, music was played from Miyo's room.
"Is that the music you suggested to her?"
"Yeah. I know it's weird at first, but it's really good for sleeping."
"I don't comment on anything I haven't listened to. In return, I appreciate that you're always trying to make the best of everything."
"That's natural. Everything for my friend, after all." he said with a blush. "But I'm going to sleep, too. Good night, Master."
"Good night to you, Mineta."
Kudou also slowly goes to sleep. He listened to the music. It's really numbed his eyelids and he's already sleeping on the spot.

A week passed, and miyo's sleeplessness was really starting to hit life-threatening levels. She tried to pretend the others, that she was fine, but she getting more and more exhausted each day. In her hellish nightmares, she returned again and again to millions of people who asked her for help with an agonizing roar. The worst thing happened this morning. She was shopping with Yurie and Hana while Mineta was training. Halfway to the store, however, her vision faded completely and she unwittingly began to sit back. She closed her eyes when someone hold her.
"Are you all right, young Miyo?"
She opened her eyes. Arata saved her.
"Thank you. I'm fine." she answered and stand up.
"You're not sleeping very well, as I noticed. Do you have any idea why?"
"I don't know, but it's just temporary." she whispered, but she felt, that he doesn't believe that.
"Remember that business card, that I gave you at the theater?"
"Yes."
"If you want to know the truth, I'll welcome you and help you stop your nightmares."
"Thank you kindly. But I have to go."
"Me too." he bowed. "Have a good day ladies."
They bowed back and goes back to home.

In the meantime, Kuodu read the current report of the observers at the headquarters of the Special Forces. It was very bizarre the fact that the grotesquiers had rarely attacked so far. There's 3,000 of them, but it's like they're planning something. This is nonsense, because they are angry and hate-fueled entities, whom attacked anyone. Kazushi bolted in his study.
"Kudou! There's a big problem!"
"Report!" he shout and put down the documents.
"We lost the connections with 10.th squad. One of them left a message."
"What is it?"
"They are attacked as a team. Escape immediately."
He quickly got up and rushed to the map. He saw where the 10th was. last location of unit. That's when the cold ran through his spine. It was close to Tokyo. It is impossible because they had to break at least three lines of defense.
"Is there a report from the squad 6th, 10th and 13th?"
"Nope. They say they don't see an enemy."
"I want surveillance teams deployed immediately. and command all available squadrons to march to the defensive lines of the more populous villages and cities."
"Yes, sir!" Kazushi said and left after a quick bowing. Kudou fell into his chair, still in shocked state. How could things take a bad to worse turn? It's like someone's messing with him. He went to the bathroom to wash his face with cold water at a tap. but Arata stood in his way.
"Could you tell me, how's Miyo condition?" he asked with a smile. Kudo's patience ran out at this point.
"You can ask very smart questions. An entire squad wiped out, and you're asking me about private questions?"
"I apologize. I'm just worried about her."
"If you have to something to worry, here you go. If the Grotesquiers break into more populated areas, then the civilians death rate became huge. So listen carefully, because I'm only going to say this once. If you don't want me to file a complaint to the Emperor because you didn't take this situation seriously, then do your job."
"Okay, I'm sorry. You don't have to get so worked up about an innocent question."he said bowing down and headed to his office.

Days passed and the control of the grotesquier crisis began to slip out of Kudou's hands. No one understood why they started fighting in a team when this was not typical of them. Fortunately, the death toll was kept to a minimum. The only question, which remains. "How long can this keep up?"
"We have successfully repelled every attack. But the 13th. squads must retreat to rest and replenish their supplies." Kazushi end his report.
"I give the permission." he sighed and stood up. "I'm going to bed. Godou will take my place."
"Yes, sir." he bowed and left. Kudou did the same. He went to his car and started it. As he was driving home, he couldn't get the feeling that someone was controlling the grotesquiers in the background. But when he came home and saw Miyo in the kitchen, he faced a different problem. Her eyes completely ringed eyes and visible signs of drastic weight loss made it look like was when she got here.
"Good night, danna-sama." she bowed. "Your dinner is almost ready."
"Tell me... why?"
"What?"
"Why are you hiding that you fainted? Why are you hiding your nightmares?"
"That's because..." she muttered, but Kudou continued.
"You think I don't know that you get nightmares every time you try to sleep?"
She surprised this sentence and can't answer anything.
"I told you last time, that you can tell me anything, because I'm here for you. No matter how much time goes by... Do you ever really trust me?"
"You're wrong." she said, while struggling her tears. "I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want to cause any trouble. Especially when you're tired and you're busy."
"I'm tired?" he asked back in frustrated tone. "You're always tired. If I had known this would happen, I would never have let you take so much classes on your shoulders."
Miyo can't hold back her tears, which dripping on the floor.
"Danna-sama. You're so cruel."
The phrase completely shocked him. He didn't want to talk to her like that at all. She tried to wipe her tears when he held her hand.
"I'm sorry, but..."
That's how far he got when she collapsed, like a string cut marionette puppet. Kudou quickly grabbed her and wanted to call her when he saw, that she fainted. But in the meantime, he felt someone behind him. He already knew who it was.
"Don't spare me. Say I'm no better than the Saimori family."
"I had no intention of saying that." Mineta whispered mineta and caressed Miyo's face.
"You were both dancing on your last nerve. The question is which one of you will snap first."
Kudou raised her, when a business card fell out of the pocket of the Miyo's dress. Mineta picked it up and then his face turned into shocked.
"How can I be so stupid? He gave it to her in front of my eyes. She had the answer to our question all along."
"What?" he asked her when he took the card to see it.
"The Usuba residence location. It's time to get some answers to this madness."
"I agree." e said, while holding Miyo in his hands, he went to the car. Mineta followed him.
"I'll come with you. I have a plan, because this whole situation stinks to me, and I want to know the reasons."
Instead of further questions, he opened the car.
"Fine."

In the car Mineta shared all his doubts and plans with Kudou.
"Are you crazy?" he ask after that. "If you make one mistake, you can be killed."
"But if I don't do it, we won't get the real answers. At least, Arata won't tell you completely. Please trust me."
"The car stopped at the address on the business card. Kudou sighed deeply when he got out. He took Miyo and stood before the gate.
"Good luck with your plan, Mineta. You'll need it."
