As I opened my eyes I found my self laying on something strangely soft. Unused to this feeling I started to attempt to get up racking my brain with questions like 'what happened?', 'where am I?'.

"Are you alright?" came a voice from my right.

I jumped a bit startled by this stranger. As I raised my head to see them I didn't see a robot, I saw something different. Something I hadn't seen in a very long time. The "girl" I presumed was wearing a pair of light blue jeans with red sneakers and a red collared shirt. She had her brown hair tied up in a ponytail and had big brown eyes. I grunted and turned away from her. That's when it hit me. 'I escaped.....'.

I looked around to see my self in a closed off space with a television and a couch as well as many pizza boxes. No where did I see cell bars or robots. I smiled for the first time in a long time. I stood up the floor slightly cold. I heard the sound of water dripping, making a rhythm as it did. I looked back at the girl and smirked at her.

"Thanks for the rescue" I said as I ruffled her hair. She laughed a bit as did I.

"So what's your name?" she asked. I thought about it. I couldn't remember my real name I think it started with an A.

"Ashley" I responded nervously.

"That's a great name my names S" she responded while smiling like an idiot.

"What your parents to lazy to give you another letter" I responded roughly with a slight chuckle.

"Guess so oh no I'm late for patrol you want to come with us?" she asked kindly.

I nodded and followed her. I'd been on a patrol before, though they never ended well. We jumped and ran across the buildings once we got to the surface. I leaped over with her as she suddenly stopped. She jumped down onto the street. I went to go follow her-

"AHHHHHH MONSTER!!!!!" screamed a lady running away the moment she saw me. Others gave me terrified glances.

I climbed back up and into the shadows. S followed but I continued to walk away form her. I barely knew her yet she continued to follow me as I walked away.

"Ashley what's wrong...." She asked softly a hint of a sob in her voice.

"Nothing I just ....."

I looked out upon the city seeing all the flashing lights and things I'd never seen before. Yet none of it mattered. Nothing would be the way it was the way I could slightly remember it being.

"They screamed because their stupid.......they don't see the person behind the monster" spoke S.

"So I'm a monster huh...." I chuckled out.

"No not to me at least" She responded as she hugged me.

I smiled. I made my first friend.

All of a sudden a blast was fired at us.

I growled and took out my guns. And thus the adventure began.
