My eyes returned to normal but before I could run over to Lucy, DJ pushed me to the ground. I starred at him in disbelief only to find a loathing expression on his face.

"YOU COULD HAVE KILLED HER ASHLEY! MY DAUGHTER COULD HAVE DIED! YOU PUT HER AT RISK! YOU'RE A MONSTER, STAY AWAY FROM US, I NEVER EVER WANNA SEE YOU AGAIN!" DJ shouted at me as he picked up Lucy and walked out.

My eyes filled to the brim with tears as I watched him leave with my entire world. Him and Lucy were my everything, and now they were gone.

As tears fell from my eyes it felt as if the darkness around me started to consume me. I sat there not moving only crying for hours until S discovered me.

"ASHLEY!" shouted S as she scrambled over to me her feet sliding on the wood floors. She slid to a stop and sat next to me.

I looked up at her wanting to say so many things but I couldn't speak. I had no way to. I had nothing to speak for. I no longer had a reason to live.

"Where are DJ and Lucy?" She asked glancing around.

I tensed up at the mention of their names. "T-They left... they left because of me" I managed to choke out threw the tears.

She gave me a look that only she could. A look of worry mixed with sympathy but not one bit of anger or regret.

"Ashley DJ loves you and so does Lucy no matter what they will always love you and family sticks together so if you go to them then you can put this all in the past." She spoke confidence ringing in her words.

I gulped down the big chunk of fear in my throat. "Are you sure?" I asked my voice quivering.

She nodded, her freckled cheeks and chocolate brown eyes shinning with her smile. Her smile was infectious.

Soon I was smiling to. I realized things couldn't just suddenly change in that moment. We'd always have bad guys coming after us but that's what makes us special.
