MAY POV

All I see is darkness. I have no idea what's going on. Where am I? What happened? How did it happen?! Suddenly, there was a bright flash of light, then I see the room. I'm....in a hospital?! Wait.......I remember! The Tentacruel dragging me down, all the rocks I hit on the way, and the hand reaching for me! Wait.....I look to the left. I notice someone sleeping in a chair. Is that....LIGHT?! He looks so malnourished! His hair is unkempt, there are black bags under his eyes, and he looks like he hasn't eaten in days! Hey.......is...is he the one who saved me? I try to wake him up.

LIGHT POV

"Zzz.....zzz.....zz-wha...huh?" I look up. My vision is blurry. Geez, what little to no sleep does to you. I rub my eyes and yawn. "Morninalready?" I'm still a little drowsy, so my words were a little slurred. My eyes are still grey. My vision clears. When I look up, I see....May!!! "May! You're alright!" I jump up and hug her. I'm so happy to see that she was okay. "Wha....why do I have butterflies in my stomach? Why am I blushing? D-do....do I like her?" I stop hugging her. When she sees my face, she seems pretty shocked. "L-Light! Your eyes! Why are they grey?! What happened?!" I look at her, and I chuckle. "Well....I used the rest of the energy I had and healed you." "Wait, what do you mean, 'energy?' I try to find a way to explain. "Well, the only way to explain is to tell my backstory. It's long, though..." "I've got the time."

ONE LONG BACKSTORY LATER...

"That's the gist of it." My eyes were changing back to gold, I could tell. "So...your family disappeared, you were knocked into a portal, got powers, traveled dimensions and saved them, and decided to settle here?" "Yup. I..uh..don't like to mention my family a lot....." I was on the verge of tears. My family....sore subject. Suddenly, May is hugging me. "Don't worry, you have friends with you who can help you!" I smile and chuckle a little. She let's go. "Hey?! What's so funny?!" "To think I was in this region for only 3 hours and I already had to save someone." I can tell May is embarrassed. "W-well, if you saw me, you could've brought me back to the sho-" The door opens, and in walks Ash, Pikachu, Clemont, Bonnie, and Serena. "May! Your awake! What happened?! And did we interrupt something?" I stare at them, blushing. "No, you didn't. We were just talking." Bonnie looks at me, smirking. "Just talking....riiiggghhhtttt........."
