Ryu was in bed sleeping. Though this was a much different place then the Evernight Palace. In fact, that place didn't even exist anymore. He was in a cabin in a peaceful forest that seemed to be rain free and he was not alone in bed actually. Right next to him was a girl with pink hair and different color eyes watching over him with a small smile.

AERO TANGELOS!!!

Soon enough Ryu sat up yawning.

Ryu: Morning Aero.

She kissed him on the cheek.

Aero: Morning babe.

Ryu looked up and for some reason let out a sigh of relief.

Ryu: I know it's been a few weeks, but I still can't believe it's over.

Aero: Yeah, me neither. It only started for 2 years worth years ago but it feels like more.

She looked at him before getting a certain look, one that Ryu knew the meaning of.

Ryu: *Sigh* Go ahead.

He leaned over to his shoulder before biting it seeming to suck blood.

Aero: Mmm, thank you.

The bite wounds slowly healed as he rolled his eyes.

Ryu: Yeah yeah, ya pint sized sized blood sucker.

Aero: I'll have you know that I'm 5 foot 9.

Ryu: You say to the 6'5 badass.

Aero: ... Shut up.

Ryu: Love you too Aero.

He got out of bed.

Aero: You want a shower?

Ryu: Haha nice try. I already took the liberty of showering 2 hours before now.

Aero: Meanie.

Ryu: Nah I'm just not thirsty.

He walked out of the room before walking onto a porch in the cabin -really a small mansion- and gazed out into the distance.

Ryu: The very first main quest is done, now for the bigger challenge. Where the hell did you go dad?

???: Room for one more?

Ryu turned around and saw a girl with silver eyes and two mugs of coffee as he smiled.

RUBY ROSE!!!

Ryu: Morning Rubes.

Ruby: I'm gonna take that smile as a yes.

She walked over placing the mug in front of him. He took a sip and was surprised by the richness but also sweetness of the drink.

Ruby: Pretty good right?

Ryu: Yeah, but it's weird since it came from you. No insane amounts of sugar and cream...

Shojo: Give it a sec.

Ruby: Hey Shojo.

Shojo: Morning Ruby.

Ryu: Let me guess, Weiss gave you some lessons again?

Ruby: I mean I could've done it on my own.

Ryu: -_- Ruby, do YOU even believe that.

Ruby: ... N-Nah...

Ryu: But still, you still remembered to do it without her being here. That's pretty impressive.

Ruby: Thanks!

She was about to take a sip of her own coffee before Ryu stopped her.

Ryu: Less you got a heat proof tongue you might wanna let that cool down.

Ruby: Hehe, probably.

Ryu looked at his longtime friend of 3 years with an odd look.

Ruby: What is it?

He placed his hand on her head before moving it over still flat and brought it down to just bellow her shoulder.

Ryu: Huh, I only now realize how much taller you've gotten.

Ruby: Huh?

Ryu: 5'2 give or take. That's how tall you were when we first met. You had a pretty big growth spurt. You're just up to 5'8.

Ruby: You remembered that?

Ryu: Yup. Hard to believe you were 15 then.

Ruby finally took a sip of her own coffee.

Ruby: Yeah. We would've been in our 3rd years by now I think.

Ryu: Well you guys maybe. My Team probably could've graduated early since at the time all of us where already a bit past Hunter Levels.

Ruby: Yeah right.

Ryu: Ruby at the end of the Vital festival I could literally cut a Grimm Dragoon in half.

Ruby: Point proven.

They both laughed as Ryu looked out.

Ryu: You know Rubes, you could go to patch to be with you're family. You're dad, Yang, Qrow, even your mom. They're all there.

Ruby: Yeah but, I'm a Huntress, and 18 now. I'm not a kid anymore. Sure I miss them but if I can help keep the world safe then I'd rather do that and see my family just from time to time.

Ryu: Hm, I guess.

Ruby: Plus, you and Erica can teleport me there any time.

Ryu: What am I your personal taxi?

Ruby: A taxi is less way reliable than you!

Ryu: Quit buttering me up Ruby. What's up?

Ruby: Well~ I was just wondering, you know all those crazy adventures you've gone on by yourself?

Ryu: Mhm.

Ruby: Can you please take me on one?!

Ryu: Hm?

Ruby: I wanna see what it's like to travel dimensions too! It must be so awesome just to do that!

She had stars in her eyes looking at him. Ryu couldn't help but smile at the still childish Ruby.

Ryu: If that's all you wanted you could've just asked.

He materialized a portal gun as Ruby seemed to get excited.

Ruby: YAY!!

Ryu took a paper and began writing a note. He left it on the table inside before downing his coffee.

Ryu: This one shouldn't really last long, but it'll be fun nonetheless.

Ruby: Yeah!!

Ruby quickly started drinking her coffee as well.

Ryu: Instant regret coming in 3, 2, and 1-

Ruby: HOT HOT, THAT REALLY BURNS!!

She was coughing holding her throat and fanning her tongue.

Ruby: How do you do that?! What do you have a tongue made out of metal?!

Ryu: I have a semblance that blocks out pain and I heal, you do the math.

He shot a portal onto the ground grabbing Ruby.

Ryu: Better hold on tight Rubes.

They jumped through as Ruby held onto Ryu tightly. After a few seconds he shot another portal as they appeared in the sky.

Ruby: CRUD!!

Ryu began flying stopping them.

Ryu: Ok which world are we in?

Looked to the left as Ruby looked right before freezing up and tugging Ryu on the shoulder.

Ruby: *Gulp* Ryu, check it out.

He noticed the worry in Ruby's voice as he turned and saw large walls with a city inside of them.

Ryu: ... NOPE NOPE NOPE!!

He shot a portal down as they fell in before shooting it again.

Ruby: I mean, we probably could've taken them.

Ryu: Ruby, unless it were to get a shit ton of views on Wattpad, I am NOT going to deal with idiots psychopaths and fucking monsters bigger than the Wyvern Grimm.

He shot another portal as this time they were in the air over a mountain.

Ruby: Ok, seems calm so far.

Ryu: Pfft, give it a sec after we hit the ground Rubes, there's definitely gonna be a monster attacking soon.

They dropped to the ground and not even a second later they both felt a small killing intent.

Ruby: What's that?

???: What's this? Two humans have come to me?

Ryu looked back to see an odd looking... Thing. Both he and Ruby knew it wasn't human.

Ryu: ... What the fuck are you?

???: Oddly calm in the face of your death. I am Kamanue.

KAMANUE.

Ryu: I asked for what you are, not who you are you daft fuck.

Kamanue: Arrogance! I am a Demon that is apart of the the 12 Kizuki!

Ruby: Weird, didn't think Demons looked this much like humans.

Ryu: Well anyway could you answer just one last question before you "Kill Us".

Kamanue: Very well.

Ryu: Are there any who try and stop you demons? Also what year is it?

Kamanue: First: 1926. And second: There are weaklings called demon slayers that oppose us stupidly in the night-

Ryu: Ok thank you time to die.

Ryu appeared behind the demon before obliterating his entire body with a flaming punch. All except his right eyeball.

Ryu: Hm, lower moon 6 is what it says.

Ruby: Weird.

Ryu stomped on the eye destroying it.

Ryu: Anyway, how about we go and find one of these Demon Slayers.

Ruby: How are we gonna do that?

Ryu: Eh, the plot will bring one to us.

TIME SKIP!!

Ryu: Ok, so apparently there are things called Demon Slayer -Probably the name of this Anime- and there and a lot of ranks. Mizunoto, Mizunoe, Kanoto, Kanoe, Tsuchinoto, Tsuchinoe, Hinoto, Hinoe, Kinoto, and Kinoe. Among the Kinoe there are 9 Elite Demon Slayers called the Hashira. They are undoubtedly the most powerful in the Demon Slayer Corps. Each of those Hashira have mastered a breathing style.

Ryu was reading from a book as he and Ruby were walking in the streets in the afternoon. The latter was munching on chocolate chip cookies slightly confused.

Ruby: *Chomp* Breathing Styles?

He flipped a few pages getting to it.

Ryu: Breathing Styles are swordsmanship styles practiced and taught by the Demon Slayer Corps. They are capable of allowing their users to fight on par with Demons, and are usually used with Nichirin Blades.

Ruby: *Nom* Wait, Nichirin Blades?

Once again Ryu flipped a few pages.

Ryu: Special Blades forged for Demon Slayers. Forged from ores that constantly absorb sunlight, that being on of the biggest weaknesses to demons. They're also color changing swords.

Ruby: *Nom* Cool. This stuff sounds pretty interesting. How about we go ahead and try this stuff out.

Ryu: In what regard?

Ruby: Well, we find out how to learn/make our own breathing styles, and then take that Final Selection Exam to become Demon Slayers!

Ryu: ... I want to say no but we don't age here and 5 years is probably like 5 days in our world so fuck it sure.

That's when the two began to search around looking for leads to any location of someone who knew could teach a breathing style. It had already became dawn when they were at the next village with Ryu at his wits end.

Ryu: How can not one fucker know where to find a single teacher?!

He punched a tree as they were walking causing his fist to go through it not fully expecting it.

Ryu: O_O Whoops.

Shojo: Yeah the fact that you can punch things into bits escapes you from time to time doesn't it?

Ruby: Maybe it's because the Corps isn't recognized by the government? I mean they're basically vigilantes.

Ryu: I was too and my face was on a wanted poster at least once.

They heard footsteps around them and also growling.

Ryu: Oh you have got to be fucking around with me.

Ruby: Well I guess I could to kill one try myself.

Ryu: Yeah but I blew mine to pieces, Crescent Rose might not help.

Right on cue 3 demons jumped out as Ruby spun around before her giant gun scythe was unfolded cutting off one's hand.

Ruby: I'm still gonna give it a shot.

The demons moved in quickly as Ruby easily started to dodge and blow them back unsuccessful in landing killing blows.

Ruby: Ugh, that's kind of annoying. Looks like being able to blunt force things does come in handy.

Ryu: Ok, let me handle this-

???: Stand back!

They turned to see a man with hair similar to flames running in at great speeds.

Ryu: The fuck is he do-

They noticed he had a sword by his side and wore an odd uniform.

Ruby: Hey, a black uniform, a Katana, and superhuman speed.

He unsheathed his Katana before quickly cutting off the head of a Demon as it soon started to decompose.

Ryu: Yup, that's definitely a Demon Slayer.

He turned to another Demon as it leapt towards him.

???: Flame Breathing, First Form.

He redrew his katana as flames seemed to appear from it.

Fang: I know they're not real but for the sake of fun let's just say they are.

???: Unknowing Fire!!

He kept forward easily decapitating the other Demon.

Ryu: WOAH!

Ruby: That was amazing!!

He man seemed to have a smile on his face as he turn to face them.

???: Thank you!!

Ryu looked over to the left seeing that the other Demon was trying to flee. The Demon Slayer looked that way getting ready to run.

???: I'll handle it.

Ryu: Nah, I've got it.

Faster than the Slayer could think, Ryu was in front of the Demon before kicking its head with enough force to make it explode into paste falling down. This shocked the Slayer as he was at a loss for words.

???: That was... Incredible!!

Ryu cleaned off the blood from his boot by kicking up in the air.

Ryu: I mean it's not exactly hard if you're durable enough to put enough force into it.

???: I see!!

Ruby: But that sword thing you did was so much cooler!! I've never seen a Nichirin Blade before!!

Ryu walked back over interested himself.

Ryu: Anyway, who are you?

???: My name Kyojuro Rengoku!!

KYOJURO RENGOKU!!!

Ryu: 'God Damn with art like that and 3 exclamation points Fang must like him.'

Rengoku: I am the Flame Hashira! Might I ask for your names as well?!

Ruby: YOU'RE A HASHIRA?! TALK ABOUT GREAT TIMING!!

Ryu: The hyperactive one is my friend Ruby Rose. My name is Ryu Kaizen.

Rengoku: Ah, fine names indeed! I've never seen someone with physical strength like yours, and someone who can easily fight off a Demon with such a large and most likely heavy weapon. So, how would the two of you like to become my disciples?

Ruby: Yes!! We were looking for someone to teach us how to use breathing styles!!

Ryu: I guess I don't have a reason to say no.

Rengoku: Alright! Before you fully accept this offer I must warn you the training will not be easy!!

Shojo: I like him.

Ryu: Still a yes.

Rengoku: Well then, follow me!

He ran as they followed in hot pursuit.
