Tokoyami's POV:

After a bit of time and cold suffering we arrived at a house near what looked to be a shopping district. It was still cold when we entered the house, and the AC didn't help much. I looked around and smelt the distinct odor of... cat? Yes, cats... Several cats turned the corner from up the stairs and yeeted their fluffy bodies down the stairs.

One was white with orange markings and the fluffiest tail there was to see. The second one was pure silver-gray with black lines going down its torso. The third one was a shadowy black with no other identification from the shadows. Infact I almost missed it if it didn't meow and come into the light.

Me: You... have cats?

Mic: YES! WHERE'S THE BLACK ONE THO?!

Me: It's right there? Are you blind or am I seeing things...

Aizawa: He's blind.

Mic: Damn...

Me: Is there perhaps a shower somewhere? Or clothes? I'm soaked.

Aizawa: I forgot... Here I have some *sigh*.. You might have to wait for tomorrow though...

Me: It's fine... But still. Where's the shower?

Mic: Upstairs little listener!

Me: Aren't you two heroes...? You both seem to be quite odd.

Mic: WHAAA!? ... Why odd?!

Me: You're louder than a freaking siren and he is sighing all the time. Plus his scarf stinks like the underworld.

Mic: SEE! SEE! I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS SO! SEE!

Aizawa: Mic! Shut Up! Yes we are heroes.

So I was right...

Did Izu get put with a hero as well?

Or erm... Heroes.

I hope he's okay and not hurt or something...

Wonder where the other orphans are now...

Probably dead or injured, we were kind of lucky

Or I was... Izu could have left me and not been injured.

Where the hell is dark shadow too...

After I had showered and put the oversized clothes on that Aizawa so kindly provided, I was led into a room with a bed, and a few drawers full of necessities but nothing personal. I suppose this was the guest room. How long did they expect me to stay here? I mean they gave me a whole room to myself.

Me: Dark Shadow.

I tried summoning my Cobalt partner but got no response. Except I knew he was ignoring me cause the light got slightly darker and I saw a wisp of shadow leak out.

Me: Stop it. Come out already. I know it isn't too bright!

Dark Shadow: Fine...

Me: Where were you?! I know you don't sleep alot and only during the day. We could have died, you know!

Dark Shadow: I... Sorry Toko... It was too smoky.

Me: You don't even need to breathe.

Dark Shadow: I still have to see you know! And I can't do anything much unless you're up!

Me: What about that time I woke up to you and Izu having a whole conversation!?

Dark Shadow: You weren't in deep sleep like that time!

Me: So wake me up! You're saying you can't speak while I'm asleep or something!?

Dark Shadow: WELL WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO? YOU WOULDN'T WAKE UP!

Me: Wake Izu up then! You could have done SOMETHING!

Dark Shadow: I TRIED!

Suddenly Aizawa walked into the room looking confused. His quirk was activated and I felt and saw Dark Shadow fright away and disappear.

Aizawa: What the hell was that!?

Me: My Idiot of a fucking quirk.

Aizawa: Which is?

Me: Didn't you get a file on me or something?

Aizawa: No.. Just a short description.

Me: Cut your quirk off and It might appear.

He did such and the shadows darkened a bit more. And A certain shadow with yellow glowing eyes was cowering in my shadow looking sad.

Aizawa: Why were you yelling at it?

Me: None of your business.

Dark Shadow: ... Are you done with me, Toko...

Me: Yes. Leave me be for a bit please. I need to think.

Aizawa: Fine... just.. No yelling please *sigh*

Me: Sorry...

Aizawa: It's fine.

After he left and my quirk came back inside my shadow. Since it was night time I decided to go to sleep, and I would've if a cat hadn't come in. It was the pitch black one actually. It looked confused at why there was so much noise.

Me: Ohhh... Don't worry buddy... I was just... *sigh*

Cat: Meow. Mrrrrr...

What?

Did it just try and copy me or am I going insane.

Me: What?

Cat: Meao?

Me: Where the hell did they get these cats from... I don't even wanna know what the other two might do...

Cat: Meow meo, mrr, meow. MEOW!

Me: You do realize I can't understand you right?

Cat: MRR!

Me: Okay then.... I'm going to bed. You do you bud.

I folded the covers over me and tried to sleep. Key point "Tried". All three cats came in and started walking around my bed meowing. It was quite the racket and at one point I heard Aizawa sigh again.

The duck?

Is this some kitten initiation!?

*sigh*

Its gonna be a long night huh...
