Four.
Drying their tears, Aerith got up from the ground and marched back over to their computer. Their hands were a fast-paced flurry of keys. Aerith had a tendency to express their feelings through hammering out code. They were currently coding an additional security feature requiring a retinal scan. Safety first right? Their computer chimed and then spoke: Incoming video call from Sequoia. Accepting now.
"No! No! Stop that! Bad comput-" Aerith yelled at the computer, cut off by Sequoia's face on the screen. "Why did you call me?"
"Because I need to talk to you."
"Oh my god are you still right outside my hideout?" Aerith groaned.
"Yeah, I am. I'm not leaving until you talk to me."
"Well sit out there. I'm not interested, okay? Can you just leave me alone? Is that so hard?"
"Yeah, it is. I really like you Allegro. Your freckles, your smile, the way you cant manipulate time just right. I lo-" Aerith muted the call. They didn't need this right now. They unmuted it again. "-annot believe you muted me! Stop being a dick Allegro. I need to talk to you."
"And I don't care!" Aerith hovered over the hang-up button. They didn't want to hang up. "Do you have anything else to say besides your proclamation of your feelings for me?"
"No, not really." Sequoia sighed.
"Then why don't you hang up? I've made it known I don't want to talk to you. How hasn't it made it through your thick sk-" Aerith dropped the word mid-syllable as a notification popped up on their screen. They ran out the door.
"Allegro! Where did you go?" Sequoia asked as Aerith ran out the door. Sequoia ran after them. "Where are you going?"
"There's something going on at Spartus Tower." Aerith stops and turns, as Sequoia practically skid to a stop. "And I don't need your help." Aerith continued running, unaware of Sequoia following through the trees.
