#7 Again? Really Izu!?
The next day Izuku was skittish beyond belief, the conversation with his mom in his mind, it's not every day you realize you like someone so close to you in more than a friendly way... it was odd, he tried to deny it at first, but that didn't feel right... and when he said the words... 'I like Kacchan.' It didn't sound wrong... he did feel bubbly around him, sometimes just the thought of the blond made him smile, why wouldn't it? He was Kacchan... Every little thing that he did for him was something worth smiling for, so of course...
He walked out the door with a sigh already running about fifteen minutes late cause of his thoughts, a chill running up his arms as the goosebumps followed after, placing his hand on his arm he shook his head at the thought. "It's Kacchan... He wouldn't do anything... he wouldn't leave..." Izuku's thoughts tried to reassure the dread, wondering how to tell him... should he even tell him? The thought crossed his mind but he never been good at keeping anything away from Katsuki... he had always read him like an open book, no page unturned...
he placed a hand on his head, outlining his horn in his fit of nervousness, he sighed slightly as he walked under an archway, he was a few minutes walk from school and he felt as if he was getting further and further underwater, as if the pressure was pressing down on him... that was when he heard a grate pop open from behind him... He turned around quickly, jumping after hearing the loud noise... his face contorted into a look of fear, seeing a massive ball of sludge, it was flowing upward which made Izuku cautious, that was when he saw a pair of eyes form from the sludge and a very ill-defined face could be made out "Come here, kid!" Izuku shook as he placed his hands up, seeing the sludge getting closer and closer... before he felt that six sense he had ever since his quirk manifested... and the blob of Sludge was suspended in mid-air.
Izuku saw the glow of his horn and he felt himself sigh in relief. "W-What!? Hey! Put me down!" The villain started to shout, the sludge trying to budge from the hold, Izuku winced, he had lifted up liquids before, albeit it being tricky he had the practice... however this liquid was a lot more heavier and it was squirming with the intent to hurt him... His head throbbed as the villain managed to squirm a little bit of liquid into a spear. "It doesn't matter if your alive or not BRAT! I'm using your body as a MEAT SUIT!" The spear jabbed its way towards the teen and his horn glowed even brighter than before, the spear inches away from his eye. Izuku flinched at the sight before pushing his hand down, the villain, still being in a hold was pushed to the ground, an invisible weight pinning him to the ground.
Izuku huffed slightly, the headache blooming in his head was the first sign that he didn't have too much time. looking around he grimaced, knowing not many people would be up so early, reaching into his pocket with his free hand he brought out his phone, his eye's still directed at the sludge, feeling the sludge squirm he tightened his hand into a fist making the villain scrunch up. As Izuku was about to call the cops, something made him break his hold... and it wasn't the villain, no it was the hero that came climbing up from the grate. At that moment the sludge went around him... Closing his eyes, embracing for an impact that didn't happen...
Opening his eyes he saw the sludge hovering above his skin, shaking he slowly raised his hand and enclosed it into a fist. "DO NOT WORRY YOUNG MAN! I AM HERE!" Izuku didn't acknowledge the hero in that moment he knew if he did he would have the same effect. Feeling the sludge squirm he brought it up and the sludge followed. Izuku shook, his nails dug into the palm of his hand as he tasted a metallic liquid, he grimaced not knowing exactly what was happening, just that his head didn't seem quite right... he gripped so tightly the sludge stopped moving... before he fell to the ground.

Katsuki for the lack of words couldn't help but be annoyed... although with how he usually is, it seemed like a good day. He wanted to talk to Izuku, his hag of a mother had given him a question that needed answers... did he like him... of course he liked the nerd, he was always the only person he let by him, so of course he likes him... but was it more... The issue was that the horned boy didn't seem to show up at school. He had texted him and he hadn't gotten a response, and knowing Izuku's track record was perfect attendance... well besides when he was injured... He grumbled at the thought... after the first period, he grabbed his phone as he walked to his locker, the line picked up.
"Auntie, did Izu finally get sick?" Katsuki seemingly joked, even though something in the back of his mind felt dread... "What do you mean Katsuki-kun?" The question was like someone scratching a chalkboard, Katsuki stood up straight against the locker. "Izuku's not here, I thought he was sick? Did you guys have an appointment?" He prayed to whatever god there might be that Izuku wasn't laying in a ditch dead... Inko was silent for a moment before she breathed out. "I'm going to call him..." Inko said it so quickly that he didn't even have time before she hung up. Katsuki did not like that at all... he already had to deal with whatever his mother was trying to get across to him that he really didn't need Izuku going missing. He placed his bag in the locker before running out of the school, no one would question it, he'd kill them if they tried.
He started walking on their normal route, looking from every area, even go so far as to check the side of the road... following along before he saw an emergency car on the bridge with the arching storm drain that he and Izuku always walked under.. his feet started moving faster, his heart seemed to beat faster as he turned the corner and saw the vehicle open and in use laying on the bed, oxygen mask over his face was Izuku... and next to him stood out like a sore thumb, the number one hero All Might.
He ran forward making the hero turn and look over at him, his expression not changing. "IZU!" He shouted quite loudly feeling his worry bubble over he got next to him, "You know him, Young man?" Katsuki gave a glare at the number one hero, obviously not impressed. "What happened?" All Might shook his head in either amusement or confusion, he couldn't know. "I believe he overused his quirk, he was attacked after a slippery villain slipped away from me, he stopped him long enough for me to capture him." All Might replayed of what he saw. Katsuki's glare faltered at that and he sighed. "Stupid Deku... Why do you always get into these situations..." Katsuki muttered, All Might seemed to hear it but chose not to say anything.
"Well, I am glad that he is alright, I wanted to apologize as this happened because of my failure." Katsuki rolled his eyes as he sat next to Izuku, squeezing his hand. "...It's Okay..." The words made the two jump, Katsuki looked down to see a tired expression forming on the horned boy. "Hey... Kacchan..." The blond glared, but it seemed to be forced, his lips seemed to give him away, "Again? Really Izu...?" Katsuki asked making The teen slowly sit up. "I guess... I'm a magnet for trouble..." Izuku's horn glowed briefly and Katsuki felt the familiar force push to him towards Izuku who wrapped his arms around his neck and hugged him. "Sorry... Kacchan." The blond relaxed in the grip, Izuku felt it before slowly taking off the oxygen mask.
"You should really practice your quirk young man, build up your body so using it won't be as dangerous." All Might stated in a booming voice, Izuku looked up as he remembered, the nosebleed, the iron taste lingering in his mouth and he nodded his head. "Th-Thank you, All Might." Izuku bowed his head as the blond laughed joyfully. "My pleasure young man! You seem very capable with your quirk, it's only a hero's duty to give tips!" Izuku felt his heart swell at that. "You will be an amazing hero one day if you so wish!" Katsuki could only guess what effect that had as Izuku seemed to be blushing brightly and buried his cheek into his shirt. "Maah, his brain already handled enough load, giving him a high with praise is not gonna help." Izuku smacked his chest, his ears burning from the heat.
"I didn't catch your names?" All Might asked making Izuku look up slightly. "I-Izuku Midoriya." Katsuki rolled his eyes and placed his hand on top of his head. "Katsuki Bakugo." All Might nodded his head, "Well then, I must be on my leave, goodbye! Young Bakugo, Midoriya!" Izuku shakily raised his hand. "W-Wait, C-can you sign..." Opening his notebook Katsuki gave a raised eyebrow as he saw a massive signature in the book. "HE ALREADY DID!?" All Might grinned, "I'm always a step ahead! Launch!" All Might seemingly shouted as he shot off.
"Well, he seems more chipper in person," Katsuki said with a slight disdain evident in his voice. "Stop that! He's your favorite too!" Izuku waved his hand in front of him while Katsuki gave him a raised eyebrow. "Cause he always wins." He pouted as he saw the grin on the blond's face. Izuku stood up albeit wobbily as the paramedic that was in the van looked over, "It seems like your stats are back to regular levels, you should take it easy though." The teen nodded his head while Katsuki grabbed his arm and slung it over his shoulder. "Come on, your going straight home, you worried Auntie Inko enough."
"B-But school!"
"But nothing nerd, your mom sounded like she was gonna have a panic attack."
"..." The silence was deafning after that, the only thing heard was feet meeting the ground in small steps out of unison from the two. Pulling out his phone as he walked he texted his mother that he was alright, and that he would be home in a few minutes. The tapping made Katsuki look down at his phone and read the line. "Seems like she texted you a hundred times too. Was it off?" He nodded his head in a answer, shaking his head obviously not surprised. They rounded the corner before Katsuki opened the door to the Midoriya's place and saw Inko sitting on the couch just a few feet from the front door, she got up and ran towards the two.
"What happened?" She seemed to have released a breath that held so much tension when she saw her son with Katsuki but the look of worry was still there. "A villian tried to jump me." Izuku said with a small sigh, rubbing the back of his neck he looked at his mother. "He got looked over by a paramedic, said he should rest." Katsuki crossed his arms with a annoyed look. "I see... Thank you Katsuki..." Inko said giving him a smile before looking at Izuku who seemed to get the message and he shook his head. "I-I'm going to my room." Izuku hasitly said before quickly wobbling through the home and into his room.
"Are you going to head back to school?" Inko asked making Katsuki shake his head, "I have to ask Izu something... though he's had... a bad morning." The blond sighed before looking up at her, "Well you can stay here, I'm sure having you around will make him relax." Inko stated as she stood up and walked towards Katsuki and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Thank you for finding him..." Grabbing her bag she looked behind at him, "I'm going to go pick some stuff up, no rough housing." Katsuki smiled and nodded his head, "Yeah yeah..." He already knew the rules of this house as if it was his own. Shaking her head she opened the door and gave one final smile to Katsuki before closing the door.
The blond hummed slightly as he walked over towards Izuku's room, going for the handle he paused, remembering the day before... lightly he brought his hand up above the handle and knocked two times. After a moment Katsuki saw the door open briefly and he saw Izuku looking up at him with curious eyes. "You should really go to school Kacchan..." He muttered making him roll his eyes as Izuku opened the door all the way for him. Closing the door as he walked in Katsuki sat down next to Izuku who curled up on his bed. "Since when did you start getting nosebleeds from your quirk?" The question startled Izuku as he looked up at him.
"I didn't even know I would get nosebleeds, I had to hold him for five minutes and he kept squirming, I just held on until I passed out." Katsuki grimaced at the thought and he nodded his head. "All Might's right then, you might need to work on your body. God knows your thin." Izuku blinked before he blushed at the thought, Katsuki remembered him being shirtless after saying that wasn't fairing any better. Katsuki placed a hand on his head before lightly rubbing the viridian curls, "Get some rest nerd..." Slowly standing up to sit in the computer chair, Izuku's hand grasped onto Katsuki's and looked down, his eyes overshadowed by his hair.
"What is it? I'm staying here." Seemingly reading the teen in a instant but Izuku said nothing and scooted over from the bed, "S-stay here..." He emphasised the location and Katsuki's eyes softened and slowly laid down next to him, "You really don't change." Katsuki muttered making Izuku look at him with a curious look. "Always wanting to lay down together even when we were younger." He tilted his head, his eyes downcasted in a sad expression. "Is that a bad thing?" Katsuki hummed before shaking his head. "No. It isn't."
Izuku felt his heart flutter as Katsuki laid his hand down, his hand open for him to grab and he did... "Just as long as you don't poke me with that horn again." Izuku winced slightly. "I-I said I was sorry!" Katsuki gave out a snort seeing the pout etching his face. "Oh well, I guess it was my fault anyways, when you try to hug me your horn just goes for my face." Izuku's face flushed up in embarrassment. "I-I've been getting better at remembering." he stammered making him hum and nod. "I guess so..." They kept going back and forth for a few hours, just talking to one another or turning on the tv to watch some stuff, including some news coverage over a newly announced hero, Kamui woods.
"Wow, he's so cool! So nimble with his quirk!" Izuku had stars in his eyes while Katsuki hummed, he's not easily impressed though the man was doing a good job avoiding the massive villian, but just as he was about to snag the villian, another hero, equal to the size of the villian jumped forward and kicked the villian, knocking him into a open street. "Hi everyone! This is my debut as a hero! My name is mount lady!" She shouted before doing a very provocative pose making Izuku grimace. "Wow she really likes herself doesn't she." Katsuki said with disdain.
He grabbed the remote and changed the channel with a grumble while Izuku looked up at him in curiosity. "Kacchan?" He asked curiously making him shake his head, "Heroes like that seem to be everywhere now..." Sneering at the tv before looking down at Izuku who had his head laying next to his arm. "I wan't to see more heroes like you." Izuku's face burst into crimson before turning his head. "I-I'm not a hero..." "Yet." Katsuki added making the viridian boy smile slightly, nodding his head fondly.
After the new feed it took another hour before Katsuki looked down from the comfortable silence to see Izuku snoozing against his arm, his lips parted as the air ran past his lips. Katsuki looked at him for a few minutes before changing the channel and kept watching the news, a smile made its way onto his face and it didn't seem like it was going away anytime soon...
