#2 Reminiscing

Many things had happened after the video over a young boy pushing another away from danger and taking the hits was uploaded, it had gone viral in the first week, and so many people, famous or not had commented on the video, top commenters being "A true hero of self-sacrifice." "I hope he's alright!" "Does anyone know how he is?!?" "The screams... the terrible screams..." Though the last one was dropped as it was highly inappropriate.

In the middle of the video getting many views, many tried to find out information about both of the boys, however, all who tried were blocked by Pro-Hero Thirteen. Many were confused as to why a Hero was trying to stop all praise and admiration for the boy, however when she made her statement just a few days later, many attempts stopped.

"I wish the boys well, they were just walking and this happened... I believe all they would want is to go back to their normal lives... Leave them to rest and heal." That's all that was said from the space hero and the two families couldn't help but be thankful to the space hero, as she was hitting the nail right on the head.

Katsuki Bakugo, however, was still getting recognized from the video, and many; and it was to many in his opinion, people walking up to him to ask if he was alright and if his friend was alright... but his mother just grabbed his hand and walked him quicker to the direction they were going and placed a hat over his head so he was less likely to be spotted by the public.

The boy didn't want to go to school whilst his friend was in a hospital bed, stuck to a machine to help him breathe so he downright refused to. plus it didn't help that his face and screams were trending on social media now and every time he left his house someone walked up to him... he had started to wear his hoodie as much as he could.

Currently, Katsuki was left staring at his friend's bedside even after a week he was still in his medically induced coma and Katsuki kept feeling his despair growing and growing after each passing day. It was jarring, to say the least, especially when he walked in on an intern nurse taking a selfie with him in that coma, Katsuki kicked him where it hurt after seeing he was just there to get a picture of a boy who couldn't say no.

It made Katsuki so angry that he was kicking the nurse when the doctor came in and stopped him from doing any more... though after the explanation and finding the picture his anger was justified and the nurse was escorted out of the building. Katsuki sat scratching at his head, trying to think of something before muttering. "You're kinda famous now... Izu, we didn't even beat up any bad guys..." He wiped away the angry tears that started just for a brief moment.

"When I talked with Thirteen, I told her I wanted to be a hero to protect you... not... not the other way around." He moved his arm back and forth to try to stop the tears, it seemed that his clogged tear ducts, as his mother had joked, were bursting forth for his friend. "You made me so mad... I just want you better so we can be heroes together." He sobbed before once more wiping his tears away before laying his head down next to his friend's arm, Carefully making sure that the wires were not being touched as he didn't want to jostle it.

Inko Midoriya slowly opened the door to the bathroom and slowly made her way back to the seat next to Katsuki, small things lingering in her mind, she had been asked by Katsuki if he could stay with her by Izuku and she couldn't turn the little boy away, especially since it would have most likely made Izuku heartbroken to not hear his voice... she knew how coma patients had said that they could sometimes hear even though they aren't fully conscious or unconscious, whatever they would call it, but that was what essentially a coma is.

The door slowly opened as a doctor with an iv bag and Katsuki slowly looked up in curiosity more than anything else, Inko out of the corner of her eye saw him wipe at his face briefly, she had wondered if he was crying but left it as the doctor began speaking, "Alright Mrs. Midoriya, it seems like you son's numbers are improving, his nerve signals on his arms and legs are great, your son was very lucky, to say the least, his crush injuries could have turned a lot worse in the form of longterm."

Inko nodded briefly, "So now this is the process of decreasing your son off the drug that puts him asleep, and hopefully he should wake up. We will come by and monitor his brain activity every half hour, if you see any change at all please hit the call button." He pointed out the button connected to the wall and she nodded and smiled a relieved smile. "Thank you, Doctor." Said doctor nodded before grabbing the iv bag that was attached to the post and replaced it with the one that was in his hand.

It took him a moment before nodding his head, "I will see you when he wakes." He started to leave before Katsuki stood up. "H-How long?" The doctor turned around briefly but was greeted by the ash-blond boy staring up at him in helplessness. "Well, that will be seen, but the shortest I've seen is two hours, the most... could take twelve hours, it depends on how your friend feels." Katsuki frowned but nodded never the less, at least it was an answer... he couldn't stand not knowing.

The doctor closed the door as Katsuki sat back down, Inko grateful to the boy for asking the unasked question, she was so worried that she completely didn't think of how long it may be... "Auntie?" Inko blinked briefly before turning, her eyes landing on the blond in curiosity. "Do you think... if we got Katsudon he would smell it and wake up faster?" The question was so innocent Inko couldn't help but laugh quietly, "Who knows... he might. Perhaps we should get some when he wants, right Katsuki-Kun?"

Katsuki nodded his head at that before slowly and gently grabbing the bedridden green-haired boy's hand, "Kacchan! Kacchan!" The echoing of his mind brought him back to the forested area of the park he and Izuku ran off to...

"Kacchan! Wait for me!" Izuku shouted as he scampered up the hill, grabbing ahold of a branch from a tree before hopping up next to Katsuki who was looking at him as if he was being annoyed but the small gaining smirk that was on his face told him otherwise. "Come on Izu, we just need to cross this and we should circle back!" Izuku looked over to see a log, did a tree fall down and make a perfect bridge? He touched the log briefly and saw it was a little crumbly and he frowned.

"Ka-Kacchan I don't think that's safe, could we just climb down and back up?"  He pointed to the small little ravine with the stream of water that was away from not so steep. "Nah! This is quicker! Come on!" He grabbed his hand but as soon as Katsuki stepped on the log, the wood from said log crumbled and it fell. Katsuki who was still holding Izuku's hand was pulled way before he would have fallen into it but instead fell forward and tumbled into Izuku.

"Hah, I guess it wasn't safe." Katsuki chuckled sheepishly before looking to the boy who had his arms wrapped around his neck, a small fear in his eyes, "Kacchan! You scared me!" Izuku said with an angry pout, he had looked like an angry bunny with how his face looked and Katsuki couldn't help but grin. "But it was so exciting! Just like the heroes! We are going to be the best!" Izuku's angry face turned into a bright shining smile. "Right!"

Katsuki frowned briefly as he remembered that... Izuku seemed to have forgotten about the log but he never let him go that day, Katsuki could only guess that he didn't want him to do any more curious stunts that could end up like that log... He knew Izuku was the smarter one, a little nerdy when it came to Heroes but when Izuku told him his reasoning he studied and made sure he was just as good as he was.

"We want to go to UA! You have to be super smart to get into UA so I wanted to be really really smart!"  Katsuki smiled slightly at remembering how excited he was... His mom was so shocked when he came home and asked if he could have any books that she had to read to practice, she had briefly heard a phone call with her mother saying the words. "Inko your son is such an amazing influence!"

he didn't entirely know what they were talking about but anything with his Auntie or Izuku made him smile. Katsuki didn't know how long he had been thinking for but Inko was asleep and Katsuki looked up at the clock to see a few hours passed... He blinked briefly before frowning annoyed, He wished that he could space out like that when his mom is lecturing him. he shook his head to shake out the drowsiness, he needed to be awake when Izuku woke...

The blond wondered where the space hero was, she had helped so much and she even said that they would see her in time... whatever that meant to the boy, but she helped him when his friend was hurt and gave him encouraging words for him and Izuku. Usually, it was just him as Izuku didn't develop his quirk with the rest of their class and he was picked on for it, but Thirteen cared... maybe she didn't know, Katsuki had once thought but instead shook that out of his mind.

If Izuku was quirkless he wouldn't care... he would still be his best friend. Katsuki grabbed his drink from the table briefly gave a small sip before his eyes blinked briefly but in that small moment... he swore he saw something move. blinking again he looked at the hand that laid close to his... before there was a twitch in his hand. He instantly got up and pressed the call button. Inko was startled awake when Katsuki grabbed her shoulder and shook her.

"Auntie! Auntie! I think he's waking, I saw his hand twitch! I clicked the button." Katsuki then turned his head before talking to his friend who still had his eyes closed. "Izu?? Izu can you hear me?? It's Katsuki, Kacchan!" He said with so much hope and his prayers were met with Izuku's eyelids slowly opening...  and staring back was red eyes wet with tears of joy.

Please read if you want to vote on pairings and a quirk for the little cinnamon roll.

Aye, another update! not as long but ahh wanted to get this out of the way.

Yes, this is the whole quirk Pairing shabang or whatever you want to call it...

The most likely pairing is Katsuki as... a lot of people like the Bakudeku pairing, but it's not set in stone, I would love to do a Kirideku story and if this story doesn't be that I might make one later, different story together as there isn't that many Kirideku stories that start out... pre UA or even like remotely canon with quirks and stuff.

Noooow QUIRK!

I already said this before but Unicorn quirk was on my mind, I will put it all down so you guys get an idea of what it is but I also have another idea which is, called "Combo" I think some people have made versions of a type of quirk like this but I will also put this down... and now on the topic, I saw an eye quirk that looked interesting but it seemed... op or overly... overwhelming, the eye color changing and different abilities happening, I don't know if I could fully keep track of it.

Okay now here is Unicorn!

Aspects: Horn off of his head just above the hairline, Lucky, Telekinesis, (two more things as it might be a spoiler for later won't say)

Downsides: User's Telekinesis is powerful, however gives headaches, gets better over smaller and less weight of an object.

COMBO!

Aspects: The repetition of hits increases the user's damage, (Ex. if you for say did three quick jabs, your 3rd jab would hurt twice as much as the first did.) damage is increased based on the strength behind each hit.

Downsides: Because it's based on strength, it is heavily taxing on the muscles of the user and is prone to ripping, but this downside can also be seen as a strength as the muscles ripped if healed properly will become stronger.

There it is! Lots of reading I know I'm sorry!! but if either of these two are likable... Ya know what to do!
